Blue Rose Esthetics offers waxing services, facials, vajacials, and skin lightening services. Kim is the owner of Blue Rose Esthetics and was very friendly and answered all my questions. She is appointment only and you can book yourself on her website. She uses hard wax and also has skincare products for sale (ingrown hair serums (Bush Balm and Fur Oil), exfoliators, and body scrubs, etc.). She also offers 3-month waxing packages. They do not need to be used within 3 months, but you can use them for your next 3 waxes. When I got home, I noticed there was about 5-10% hair left over but it was in a spot that I remembered European Wax Center staff either also missed or weren't able to get as well. I normally would go to a certain business that has locations around the country. But they were booked up for the time and day I was looking for. Then someone referred me to Blue Rose and when I arrived the esthetician was very nice. I have had bad experiences with small places like this before. So I was kind of nervous and asking a lot of questions. Which she was able to answer for me and helped ease my nerves. If you ever have been waxed you know it's not painless. But if you have a good person who is experienced then they can make it as painless as possible. And that is exactly what they did for me. The best part she didn't double dip or have used sticks in the wax. Again I have been to small shops before and noticed them trying to double dipping the stick to save money. That is not hygienic nor safe for others. So I always watch for these moves. But not here and I really felt comfortable and loved the atmosphere. I am now wishing she lived in my home state because I would be a regular customer. But I guess the next time I'm flying over I will make another appointment with her.

The person who provided the service genuinely used their hand strength to provide a very good, deep muscle foot and calf massage. Today, I was asked if I wanted a spa pedicure. When I asked what the difference was, I was told it would be more relaxing. I acquiesced. That was a mistake. The person who provided my service before started the sink for me, but they switched out with a different person. Lots of different lotions with next to zero hand strength behind the foot and calf massage and at the end, the boss told the provider to charge me $70. By comparison, a friend of mine gets a gel pedicure for $50 at another salon. I was taken back by the price. I had walked into the with $60 cash which I handed to the service provider and told her that I would go out to my car to get more money. I didn't even sit there for the polish to dry. I genuinely felt as if they thought I was an ATM machine. I was insulted. I walked out to my car and got a $10 bill to pay the rest of what I owed for the service and an additional $15 tip for the provider. Even though this place is very convenient, I don't know if I will ever go back there. very disappointed and like I said at the beginning, I've used their services for many years, certainly way before the Covid shut down. However, my follow-up visit was very unprofessional. After I received a request to return for post- evaluation, I indicated that I liked my eyebrows; however, there were a couple of very minor corrections that were required, which the owner agreed. Specifically, one eyebrow ink was lighter than the other and one had more of a slight angle at the base than the other. Again, minor corrections. I asked why one side was lighter, and I was informed that it was how my skin "took" the ink. Although. I didn't have this issue when I had them done several years ago at another establishment. Nevertheless, I was told that there would be a fee to make the corrections. I then informed the owner that I would also like to widen my brows slightly. I provided a picture with brows similar to mine, but a tad wider at the base, which I knew would be an additional fee. Instead of honoring my wish, the owner kept interrupting me when I was informing her that I simply wanted them to be a little fuller. I then indicated that I don't care what it cost, I just want them the way "I" want them. She then engaged her mother in the conversation to persuade me otherwise, which frustrated me, but I was respectful to her mother for being placed in that position. I finally indicated to the owner, after biting my tongue, that I will not continue to justify my eyebrow preference and her irritating, talkative, dismissive attitude. I informed her that I would have them corrected and adjusted somewhere else, and I left the building. As I was in my vehicle getting ready to leave, her mother came out and apologized for her daughter's behavior, and indicated if she said anything to offend me, please accept her apology. I informed her that she did nothing wrong; her daughter was unprofessional. Her mother made every attempt to convince me to make another appointment, but I was not interested. Anyone who knows me well knows that I am a very kind and professional woman, but I do not tolerate disrespect from anyone. Further, money is not an issue for me, which I stated several times, because I wanted all the sarcastic and persuasive conversation to cease and an appointment to be made based on my requests. Dr. T.
