Booked a heated salt stone massage with therapist Bonnie. Upon entering, the spa is bright and pretty modern with lots of products. However, the change, massage, and relaxation rooms were all dated and drab in my opinion. But, it's about the experience. Everyone was friendly, and the massage was absolutely perfect! At 1st, I thought she was a bit too soft, but she gradually built up to the pressure I requested. She was extra attentive to my problem areas, but didn't neglect others. It wasn't rushed at all, and I got my money's worth. Pricing is on par for the experience, and I will definitely return. read more

We have been coming here for massages for a few years now, and honestly the experience has been leaving something to be desired. After this last visit, we will not be returning. The massage therapist was chewing gum, had loud music playing through AirPods, and the massage itself was lacking. For the price, we expected a much more high quality service. read more

I've taken my mother and my partner, and they both also have nothing but great things to say about their time at Spavia. My experience with the staff has always been lovely and attentive. Had a wonderful couples massage. I'm not one for letting strangers touch me but I felt super comfortable partnered up with my better half. The masseuse was very accommodating to my needs as to the type of pressure I liked & hiw warm I wanted my salt stone. They were excellent, my masseuses name was Janelle (sp). Overall, it was a great experience, everyone was very helpful & the vibe was super chill. I was thrilled with the service I received from Stanley. I had been having pain in my muscles around my right shoulder from extreme tightness. When I left there I was 75 % better and with the exercises he showed me I was able to be pain free within a week. He was professional and had a slow deep touch which is exactly what I enjoy. This was my second massage here but this time I had Genesis. My massage felt great. I called in Saturday because I saw no open slots for the day but really needed a massage because the pain I was experiencing from a work out I did earlier in the week. They were able to get me on the schedule close to closing at 7pm, which was greatly appreciated. I honestly thought the massage wasn't going to be great being that my appointment was at 7pm and they close at 8pm, but that wasn't the case. I didn't feel rushed at all and I think Genesis went above and beyond. There wasn't an area neglected and she checked in on her pressure and adjusted it to my liking. Although my body was sore, it was a very impressive massage, and well needed. I haven't been getting massages long, but the massage I received Saturday, I will have to say was the best yet. There are two staff members here that are completely unprofessional, unfortunately one happens to be the general manager named Alexis, and the other is an aesthetician named Alicia. I took my mother here for Mother's Day, and it was beyond horrible in terms of quality. My service was supposed to be 50 minutes long and instead it was only 30. We were not notified our service would be shortened and was still expected to pay for two full services at $220. On top of that, Alicia the aesthetician was extremely rude when talking to me and rushed my service because she too had Mother's Day plans later (which I was told by the front desk member). I even felt the need to ask Alicia while working on my face if this was her normal speed. When expressing my discomfort with Alexis the general manager, she completely disregarded all of my concerns and responded very snarky and sarcastically. The management here are young individuals who are not qualified to resolve customer quality issues due to the maturity they lack. I highly recommend the location in King of Prussia! The KOP location is amazing and the reason I mistaken the Moorestown location to have just as high of standards and class. Yikes. read more

FRAUDULENT CHARGE! I've always wanted to try Spa Via. I had a spa finder gift card that would expire if I didn't use it soon. I saw a Facebook ad for $20 off first visit. On the same post I asked if they take spa finder gift cards and they said they did. They did not mention it would not work with the promo (see picture attached.) So I went and had a great massage by Allison. The front desk person was welcoming and thorough in explaining the Covid options and changed. I left my massage feeling relaxed, only to be told I couldn't use the gift certificate with the discount. I told her I specifically asked on the same post and was not told they couldn't be combined, and that's the reason I drove from Berlin to Moorestown rather than going somewhere closer. She called the manager who said if I could show the Facebook page they'd honor it, but I was not able to find it then. I left the $75 gift certificate plus $5 cash (with the discount it should have been $79) and $20 cash for the tip and walked out! Today I looked at my credit card and saw I was charged $30.56 which I assume was the discount and tax. I would have still been mad, but would not have fought it if they had asked, but I did NOT authorize them to use my credit card. I didn't even give them my credit card. So this was a fraudulent charge. Really bad business practice to have me leave mad after a relaxing great massage, where I may have gone back to and recommended, and instead I'm telling everyone my experience. read more

I've been a member for over a year and I haven't regretted signing up at all. It is a simple retreat that makes me relaxed, refreshed and I feel great afterwards. As a member I can bank up on my visits for a couples session or just use them month to month. The masseuses that work here haven't always remained the same, but you'll find that kind of rotation anywhere. Overall, I've liked all of the treatments I've had, whether it's a massage with added features or a facial. I'm pretty loyal and a happy client. During your initial set up at the front desk, you choose your lotion (Love coconut), music and even if you want more/less chit chat. That part kind of cracks me up. The locker room has robes, sandals, towels, a shower, bathroom along with a hair dryer and a few products. Your own storage area even has a box for your jewelry. Passed the locker room is the small waiting area with warm neck pillows and self-serve tea or water along with a few books to get you in a peaceful mood. At the end of your service there is no rush and you can chill out for a bit before hitting up the locker room again. Booking reservations has always been a breeze and I've never had a bad situation. So i will say I glow after every facial which isn't truly an indication of how well the esthetician performed. In this case Alecia was not up to my standards. I have since switched to a wonderful esthetician at LJ Blush. I will continue at spavia for massages only. Heres why.... The facials are too expensive and are not relaxing to me. They used plastic latex gloves on my face during a SENSITIVE SKIN ACNE facial wtf!? So as I'm prepared to relax i feel my face skin being scrubbed and mashed around with latex! What if a person is allergic. She then goes on to say she has eczema so she wears gloves. Change ur profession then! Who pays $100 to have a gloved facial ?! Nah, I'm all the way good. It also made me wonder what kind of products are they using during an acne facial that would bother hand skin?! Why are you putting it on my face?! Another irk, they put the head wraps on my hair with the velcro and rip my edges out?! Now I have to go with my hair already tied up. Last, the facial seems rushed. Update: although they're sorry about my experience , as seen below, they have a reason why it's not soo bad... "Latex" free gloves feel soo much better than latex gloves when you pay for a spa facial. Also, pardon me I got an " acne facial" not too be confused with "sensitive skin facial" because skin with acne isn't sensitive.... that response is exactly why i will end my membership when I visit this month. Spavia is cool. As a guy, I am inherently uncomfortable with all this new age, stream over the pebbles nonsense, but when I was gifted a 60-minute massage, I went in to at least give it the old college try. Spavia starts as this tiny little reception area, then they transfer you back into the Eyes Wide Shut dungeon behind the curtain. It's all very dim and earth tone-y, with soothing elevator muzak piped in. It's almost comical in it's cliche'-ness. But, make no mistake, they are serious about this massage stuff, and they really lean into it. And I mean literally, my tech was damn near standing on the table, leaning into my back to work the knots out. It was all very relaxing, and I felt good, and smelled great when I left. (you get to pick your lotion scent, although for now, its all frou-frou beachy, flower scents. Nothing quote-unquote "manly" for the fellas. Think, "Hawaiian Honeysuckle water" instead of "leather bound books." I enjoyed myself, and would go again, but it's a little too cost prohibitive to make it a thing that I do. Understand, Spavia isn't anymore expensive than anywhere else; I think their prices are comparable, its just something that costs more than I'M willing to spend for a jasmin scented rub down. read more

Today was my second visit here and it definitely won't be my last! I booked the Grand Relax Package and can't recommend it enough (Signature Facial and massage). I checked in and did my paperwork in advance online so once I got there, I didn't have to worry about it. Just got to head back to the Ladies Locker Room where my assigned locker had a pair of spa flip flops in my size and a soft spa robe to done during my stay. Then it was off to the Retreat/Waiting area. My facial with Viktoria was first. It was very relaxing; I caught myself dozing off once or twice. My only complaint was that usually they tell you what mask or item they are applying and that wasn't done. Not a deal breaker, as she did a great job overall. Then I was led back to the Retreat area. Next I had my massage with Devon. He had been my masseuse on my last visit about a year ago, so I decided to book with him again. He was just as awesome as last time. I told him my problem areas and he went to work. My neck/shoulders and back feel worlds better (especially considering it was only one appointment); I highly recommend booking with him if you get a chance. I went to Spavia for the first time earlier today and was serviced by Tanyelle. Let me start by saying that I was a little nervous to get a massage. I have an 8 month old and my household has been extremely strict with social distancing, mask-wearing, etc. and I'm always afraid to do anything that is not 100% necessary because I don't want to put my family at risk. That being said, I felt safe at Spavia. It was clean, they checked my temperature at the door and there was hand sanitizer available. They also have signage throughout about their cleaning and air purification procedures; all of the staff wore masks that covered their mouthes AND NOSES. So if you've been being very safe but NEED a massage, I'd definitely recommend Spavia. I chose the Ultimate Signature massage and I was not disappointed at all! Tanyelle was so kind and friendly, and she was intentional about addressing my pain points. When the massage was over I sat up feeling better than I have in months! While visiting from out of state for the holiday, I booked a signature classic refresh facial with and an essential signature (Swedish style) massage at Spavia for myself and a friend. Despite booking a bit last minute, Spavia was able to accommodate both of us. I like that Spavia requests your preference of soothing music (4 options) and lotion fragrance in their check-in form - most spas I've been to either don't do this or upcharge for a specific fragrance. Both services were wonderful - I will absolutely book again with Marisa (esthetician) and Stanley (massage therapist) the next time I'm in the area. My absolute favorite spa in Philadelphia closed. I loved it because it had a warm, relaxing, atmosphere and their team was pleasant, professional, and very good at what they do. Booked an hour + massage with Marybeth. I've never truly had a transcending experience from a massage but have heard about people going through this. Well, it happened with her. She was so passionate in every stroke. She even knew the anatomy well and briefed me on exactly how she was going to handle my "pain areas" this massage was truly amazing. And after it all when I told her it was such a good massage. She responds with "thank you, now I have fulfilled my purpose" only truly passionate people respond with such an answer. If you're reading this and need some inspiration on who to book a massage with. I'm telling you, MaryBeth is the answer. I'm pretty sure she has been doing this since the 90's as well if I'm not mistaken that's what she said... so to see this much passion after all these years, that speaks volumes in itself. read more

They cut my massage short after making me wait a total of 20 minutes (in lobby or in locker room) when I questioned why my massage was 40 minutes instead of 60 they advised me this was my fault, I arrived before my scheduled appointment time and was left to sit there in the lobby waiting for them and was given a locker room tour knowing I have been there before and they were cutting into my massage time (even though I was never informed of this at any point until I asked at check out), I asked the site staff, the manager and the owner to provide a partial refund and was refused. customer satisfaction is not at all their concern or priority read more

Worst massage ever. I called and was filled in for an afternoon deep tissue appt. When the masseuse called me back she didn't say her name and when we got to the room she was very short. Like she was mad I was there. (I was not late) I asked for an upper body only deep tissue due to back and should pain from working out. We started face up and she seemed rushed and was immediately 10/10 pressure to the point of pain (deep tissue includes some pain and I've had many but not like this.) she literally pinched my shoulder muscles. She spend a really long time on the sides of my neck and was more doing rubbing friction and not massaging. When I turned over she immediately went elbow first. Her thumbnail was digging into my skin. She used her elbows to massage my shoulder but it was ON BONE and not muscle. After it was again with the rubbing friction motion that did nothing but feel like a rug burn. She did not even touch my arms which is normally included in upper body massage. By that point I was glad it was only an hour because I had already wasted enough time as well as money. I was really looking forward to this massage but will now go back to Tranquility in Hainesport. read more

Had a couples massage here with my wife for her birthday, since, who doesn't love getting a massage for someone else's birthday? What's good about Spavia? They provide lockers for your stuff and a room to relax in before your masseuse comes to get you, include warm neck wraps. The massage rooms are clean and well maintained and they also provide showers to wash off the oils post-massage. Our actual masseuses were excellent, professional, and responded well to concerns/areas of pain. Overall, that was a soothing and relaxing experience. Why the three-star review if the above experience sounds so good? The salespersons are pushy. "Do you want to add an enhancement to your treatment?" "No, I already answered that on the ipad." "Well there's the island bliss treatment and ..." "No. I already answered that but thanks again." "Okay but if you are interested in Fuji foot massage let me know." Maybe if there was a description or more information for what these "enhancements" are it would have been more helpful? I dunno, could just listen to how I responded on your own questionnaire. And, again, when we were leaving: "Do you want to join our membership club?" "No but thanks." "Well let me tell you about it ..." *3 minutes later* "Yeah, I already said no." Everything was great but I waited longer than I expected to be seen. Despite the wait in the beginning, everything was beautiful, soothing, and well cleaned and maintained. I personally find it difficult to relax, but Spavia's atmosphere, my technician Alyssa, and the front desk staff made my experience relaxing and pleasant. Don't get your lashes done with Vicktoria. Vicktoria was pretty bad with my lashes. My eyes were burning during the entire application because she kept getting glue in them. She had a hard time taping down my bottom lashes and said I was blinking too much when it was because she kept touching the tape to my eye. The result of the lashes was horrible, they are pointing all different ways. She even got some lashes glued to my eyelid which I had to pull out because it looked ridiculous. So horrible, she is the reason I will not be keeping these up. Not worth it read more

This was the first day spa I had ever been to. I've since tried different spas but still like Spavia the most. Angelika was great for my previous massages but she doesn't work there anymore so I read the reviews looking for a name. I saw Devon's name several times so I scheduled my deep tissue with him. The receptionist said she goes to Devon as well. He was personable and polite. I learned a lot about the real source of my shoulder blade pain (my right pectoral muscle and anterior lower shoulder area)along with new ways to stretch my problem areas. He was extremely knowledgeable on anatomy and physiology. I needed A LOT of "work" done and Devon really took his time and did every motion throughly. I ended up doing a 100 minute instead of 80 and I am so glad I did! I will definitely be coming back soon. read more

I'm only writing this because this was the 2nd time I've had this experience, followed by my wife as well with this same girl. Jada who is a part of the call service was not helpful at all and completely MISERABLE. First she gave 2 different prices for a service and refused to admit she had made a mistake. Fine, no big deal. Then I speak with her over the phone on two occasions about booking for my wife and a friend to enjoy a day together, she was rude to me from our prior conversation. Which seemed very childish. Still I let it go and chalked it up to her having a bad day perhaps. Finally my wife comes home and proceeds to tell me how the girl at the desk seemed annoyed to do her job, she didn't smile, didn't say hello, and was unpleasant. I knew it had to be the same girl, sure enough it was. Thank god she enjoyed her massage and her masseuse was pleasant. However very poor customer service greeters/answering service. I think Jada is in the wrong field. This experience has turned me off. It's important to feel welcomed, she did everything except that. read more

I was really looking forward to a birthday massage and thought I'd treat myself and try someplace new. Reviews here are quite positive. Massage therapist ended up having an emergency, which is completely understandable. However, communication was terrible. I got a rather vague text about two hours before my appointment asking me to contact them about my appointment. No stated reason why. I called them but no one picked up so I left a voicemail. And then I waited. Which was returned 5 minutes before my appointment time. I had taken the 25 minute drive by that time, and was sitting in their parking lot about to go in. No offer to make anything right other than to reschedule me for another day. First time customer- maybe offer me some kind of 'hey it's your birthday and we know you're disappointed upgrade' if I rescheduled? Don't know if the phone call dropped when I was speaking with them or I was hung up on...in any event the call ended abruptly and no one called back. Hoping a manager will see this so they can do better with communication for other first time customers. Like I said- ish happens and that's ok, but good customer service is important, too. I have to applaud the owner for contacting me after I left my review. He was concerned that my experience didn't reflect the quality of services that his business provides. So he offered for me to come back and I accepted.They clearly took note of my initial experience and made a concerted effort to address those the 2nd time around. This time around the experience was greatly improved. My therapist, Jenny, was wonderful. There was a clear difference in her technique compared to my previous therapist.
