Also, the fitting rooms are not roomy, neither are the isles. So if there's two people in there, it can get crowded walking by. I was standing up against the wall asking my wife for her opinion, making sure I wasn't blocking anyone when all the sudden I hear a very rude "EXCUSE ME" like I was blocking everything. There was more than enough room to go around, but she was just upset I was asking my wife for her opinion. Then a "REMEMBER if it doesn't fit put it here don't put it there". I'm fine with a reminder, but tone and body body language really play a large part in how something is communicated. This should definitely be addressed. Additionally, all the dress shirts are skinny or slim fit and mostly all blue. Not much of a variety.

This is a labor-of-love thrift store that as akin to shopping in your big sister's closet...but without the big sister getting angry at you for stealing her clothes! The store is easy to navigate with clothing divided by category and then size. There's even a section of items that have been featured on Instagram-such a fun idea! the women's clothing selection outweighs the men's-but that's to be expected in just about any clothing store. The owner of the shop is engaging and friendly-super willing to help find just the right piece to add to your collection. My only bit of feedback would be to tidy up the dressing room floors a bit-they were pretty dirty. But otherwise, it's a fun store that I'd happily return to!

Stains, tears, missing embellishments etc. aren't the Runway sells off used items once they have more wear on them. So you really have to watch out for that. These new items are probably some of the best deals this store has. Was surprised at some of the used items, for example-Angry Orange spray cleaner-had a sticker that said "heavily used" and was $5. Brand new it is $15. Why would I want a product that was almost empty? They also carry quite a bit of expired products by several months if you are into that and will eat them soon. Some products are good for months past the date, but most of the expired products were already several months expired when we were there.

I would rather drive 20 miles out of my way for a mall that has an abundant number of products and services I need to get stuff done. Luckily for me, The Shops at Fort Union are near me. Because of their location near the junction of Midvale, Cottonwood Heights, and Sandy, it's close to a heckuva lot of people in the SL Valley. The first thing I like is that it serves more a close-to-home crowd rather than the business lunch or general shopping crowd of say a Commons or The Shops at South Town. The tent pole store of The Shops at Fort Union is the Smith's: A tried-and-true grocery store with good prices and a stellar selection. The Commons and South Town don't. There's also a Walmart and -- at least very important to me -- is a Petco: toys, training, and grooming for my dogs. Obviously, food is important to us Yelpies! I find myself at Five Guys Burgers and Fries the most. There's also J Dawgs, Chick-Fil-A, Firehouse Subs, The Pie (the best pizza in town, and they deliver), Waffle Love, a Rumbi, Dickey's, Jamba Juice, Starbucks, Teriyaki Express, Nagoya Sushi, Chili's, etc. There also several clothes-centric stores: Lane Bryant, Ross, Mr. Mac, Gordman's, and even DSW shoes. I could list places forever. My only beef is there is a complex right next to it with a Original Pancake House, a Wich Which, Coldstone, etc. that apparently aren't a part of the complex ... they aren't directly accessible and more of a pain to get to than they need to be. This setup is pretty common-outdoor store entrances that face the streets, not like the indoor mall of the 80's and 90's. The nice thing here is you can easily navigate to the store you're here for. Or you can park on one end and walk up and down the row and hit many shops along the way. Parking is plentiful-there are stalls in front of all the stores, as well as larger parking areas scattered throughout. Be aware that many of the roads are one way, so watch for that. But I've never had a problem finding a spot, even on the busiest of days. They are also well lit at night, which I appreciate. The variety of stores that you'll find here are also pretty common in these types of places-a few big box stores (Ross, Michael's, Kohl's) as well as a handful of other chain restaurants and shops. Of course, there's the token cell phone stores mixed in with boutiques. I like the charm of it-a little something for everyone, and maybe check off a few errands while you're there too.
