I've had my eyebrows done from everyplace between Big D and New York. It's an art and a skill that a lot of people claim to have but usually suck at. Let's face it - it's hard to find a threader that you trust not to make you look like a constant "can you smell what the Rock is cooking" eyebrows. Eva not only has an amazingly beautiful space (it seriously smells amazing. I left and immediately bought the Nagchampa scent) but her heart shows through too. It was purely a chance encounter. My husband passed away on the 1st and he had left me a Mother's Day gift at The Tickle Bar right near her. I knew my eyebrows were going full Albert Brooks and looking more like a Eugene Levy, so I yelped a nearby place and met Eva. She's super sweet, super gentle and DOES NOT CHOP OFF YOUR EYEBROWS! She is also pretty quick and follows up with aloe (if you wish). I like her soft approach and her demeanor. She is located in a hair salon but has her own chair so that is good. When I moved to Dallas in 2019, I desperately needed to get my brows done. I had been used to threading and didn't want to go back to waxing... so I reluctantly searched through the results of a hashtag on social media and luckily found Eva! She was just starting her business then and now, I've been seeing her exclusively and regularly ever since. I've had the pleasure of watching her business deservingly grow into what it is now. She has built this thing from the ground up and let me say, there is no one more deserving than her. She is such an inspiring businesswoman. As kudos to her, she has worked her tail off during her pregnancy this year with a consistent smile on her face. And even now, postpartum, she is back at work and busier than ever. I'm so excited for her! She really cares about what her customers want in their brows and she is so quick and professional. In the past with threading, it's almost as if there is a one-size-fits-all mentality from the threader... but I've never felt that with Eva. If I want more or less of something, or if one side looks even a tinnnny bit different than the other, she is more than willing to accommodate until I feel 100% satisfied. A small note but something I really love, she always remembers the details about her customers... both brow-wise and personally. She knows that my left eyebrow is the stubborn one. She knows about my family and always asks how they are. She values her customers and it's evident in her work. I would give 6 stars if I could... 1 star her customer service was horrible. I was told walk in's welcomed but priority will be given to clients w appointments which is understandable. I walk in at 530 I was told Eva would be right w me. After waiting 30 mins Eva comes out asking her coworker to lock the door sees me and ask what I'm doing her coworker then says she's been waiting on you after that Eva says she can not see me that she is fully booked and still with her client and that she ONLY does appointments and sorry. I wish I had taken a good before photo, but just to put into context, I had not gotten my eyebrows done in over a year due to the pandemic. Because of this I also figured it was going to be an extremely painful appointment because of just the sheer amount of hair she was going to have to remove and because I wasn't used to it anymore. I was dead wrong. Eva was so gentle yet quick. I barely felt a thing. I usually tear up when you go over the tails of my eyebrows by the temple, but again, it was just a slight pinch. No tears! I've been a client to eva for few months or more, she was sweet, but nonetheless i write reviews for my experience and to just give others a heads up. After my last experience i will not be returning as a client to eva, her work is thorough just not impressive (to me) but I had booked an appointment with eva this week, and to my knowledge i booked an appointment for a thursday; somehow someway, it got booked for the following day. I was scrolling through my email on that tuesday and noticed that my appointment was for that day and it was already 10 minutes past appointment time started; i reached out to eva, embarrassed but professional to let her know what had happened, to which she informed me that she charged me full price for no services received and kept saying her time is valubable which it is. I just would like to warn others to be sure and double check before booking that everything is accurate before confirming because if something comes up, she will charge you full price instead of offering to fix it for a returned client who has never missed or been late before. I prefer to give my buisness to people who appreciate their clientele and can be understanding that things do happen and try's to work with their clientele instead of making it seem you only care about the money. read more
