I decided to try a new eyebrow threading place near my house. The threading was amazing, so I got the eyebrow tinting as well. They are super thick, more than I usually do but they are OK I guess. I decided to try lash extensions because I have gotten them from a different threading place and they came out amazing.however I took these off as soon as I got to the car they were horrible and super thick. I do my eyebrows here every time. The only girl I highly recommend is Sony; if she is busy, wait for her. She is the only one that does a fantastic job, I don't know how she does it, but it's painless, and the shape is perfect. The only issue I had once was when Sony was busy, so I took another girl, and she hurt me soo bad; it felt like she was cutting my skin, and she left my right eyebrow skinnier. I love this place! Back in my hometown I had a place and a woman I had gone to my whole life, and I was scared to try a new place and find someone who could work with my bushier brows. I tried a few places, but they made my brows too thin. Here, whoever works on me does a consistent job of making sure my eyebrows look clean but natural. I was put in an extremely uncomfortable situation where the receptionist told me she took the time out to LOOK UP MY PERSONAL SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS because she saw that I was a "business woman" and not a student. I have been going every week to get henna done. I have been going to this location to get my face threaded ever since they opened some time ago, and have been very pleased with the results - especially since I don't use the same esthetician every time, just whoever is free. As long as you explain what your needs are before you start, and trust the process since some goals (like growing your eyebrows out) take longer than others, you should be fine. Most recently, I got my first set of eyelash extensions at this location and absolutely LOVE them! The process was fast and they're ridiculously inexpensive. I've been going here for a little over a year and I have been pleased with their job of threading my eyebrows however, I made the mistake of asking for a lip wax during my visit and I wish I didn't. The woman gave me a first degree burn on my lip and instead of recognizing it she insisted that I should've asked to get my lip threaded. As SOON as she striped the hair off I felt an intense burning pain that almost made me scream. I knew instantly she had burned me. After applying the aloe vera to my lip, the pain intensified even more. After getting into my car and looking in the mirror, I noticed my top lip was insanely red and swollen and absolutely painful! I should've known after my last experience with getting a Brazilian wax at this place when I left with a BLEEDING labia and sticky wax left all over me! I will NEVER come here again! The eyebrow threading was superb: quick and with stellar results. However, I also had a bikini waxing done and the results were novice at best. An inordinate amount of hair in the bikini area was not even removed; it just broke off at the skin and left what felt like shaving stubble. It felt rushed, doubly painful. Additionally, there was a lot of hair left over that I had to tweeze individually when I got home, which took quite some time to my dismay. The patches of hair removed were also too large with each strip, which suggests the practitioner was not conscientious about my experience. I will definitely go back for eyebrow shaping, but if you want a good wax job, go to a place that specializes in it or you will end up with shoddy results, a lot of pain, and general regret, not something worth paying for. Plus, the waxing rooms are not well set up; they are bare, nowhere to put your things. Perhaps an aesthetic critique, but the details speak to the general quality of the service and experience. I've been a customer of this location for at least 4 years and have been using my student ID to receive a student discount. I went today and the new receptionist they hired was very rude and questioned my ID (I am a PhD student and my ID is very valid.) She said it looks very old and did not believe that I was still a student. She did not provide the student discount, while any other location would have. Went here on 3 different occasions, each time I asked for more of an arch in my brows it turned into a mini argument. If I want my brows done a certain way, just do it and don't tell me what my brows can and can't do because I've had them for many years! The ladies here seem to have very little patience for their clients. I've dealt with bad attitudes more than once while not even in the chair. Once a young lady at the counter got annoyed with me because I couldn't understand what she was saying since she had a very thick accent and had her hand over her mouth for some reason. The WORST waxing I've had, EVER. There were so many clues this was going to be a bad experience but I wanted to give her the benefit of doubt. Waxing is uncomfortable period but right at the end she said there's one small area I need to get. When she pulled the strip I almost screamed out. It was PAINFUL!!! At that point I was so done and I didn't care what else she needed to do. When I got home I looked down there and my skin was red and tender. I held back my labia and the reason why it was so painful on the last strip was because she pulled off my skin. I wish could take a pic and post it. It was bleeding, raw and painful. I believe these ladies are NOT CERTIFIED but trained on the job. I repeat DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. I have not contacted the owner but I will today. I went to this location to get an eyebrow threading 2 weeks ago; and that was a wonderful experience. However, I went yesterday for a bikini wax and it was not. I didn't feel like the room was sanitary because there was the white paper lined on the table that was obviously soiled from a previous client. I asked if I could discard it in the hopes of getting a clean one and was promptly told "no, its fine". I was not given anything to cover up with before she came in to work on me, and I just felt weird laying there like that. The lady that did the service was quite rude, and handled me very roughly. Purvi recently did my eyebrows and I'm very disappointed I asked if she could thread them a little thinner in the corner since I can't afford to come ever week . This is my favorite place in Dallas to get my eyebrows threaded. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded since I've been 14 - so as you can imagine, I am picky. I always get compliments on my eyebrows. This place is hygienic - very important! It's never too busy and they can get you in right away. Purvi is my favorite. She's always so friendly and does a great job with my eyebrows. She doesn't change the shape on whom or attempt to "fix" anything. I just end up with great brows every time I go. Been coming here for about a year now, after getting waxed most of my adult life. I've only ever received threading services; if I want waxing I go to a waxing salon. I've never been unsatisfied with a service here. Threading is more painful than waxing, in my experience, but I feel like it's better for my skin. My skin doesn't get irritated since the threads are only pulling up hair, not tugging on the skin. And of course there's no risk of being burned. I think the prices are great, especially since they offer discounts on multiple services and for repeat customers. And it's cool to get to listen to bhangra while you're there! read more
