Front desk will ask you to sign in at the ipad. 1) put in your number 2) pick the service 3) have a seat until they call your name Nyla made sure that everything is done correctly and will fix any concerns you have. The whole visit was quick! I didn't have to wait and immediately sat down for service. I will say less than 10 mins from the moment I walked inside. I certainly did a 70% tip! Threading my eyebrows wasn't pain-free but definitely tolerable. I did my upper lip as well and it wasn't too bad; she was so fast that it was over super quickly which I appreciated. I honestly don't recommend this place it's unsanitary, the ladies who work here, double dip the same waxing stick they use on you, back into the same pot of wax they wax everyone with, that's soo gross! People come with body odor, sweat, dirt, blood and bacteria on their skin! As a result I will never be back and don't think anyone else should! Being someone who takes my appearance fairly seriously, I have zero shame coming here and getting my bushy eyebrows plucked . I've never waited for longer than 10 minutes and they have couches and seats to accommodate if you do wait. The ladies at SOI are friendly but definitely more focused on their work and doing a good job, in which they do. I have tried other places in DFW out and there is no doubt about it that SOI is the easiest, most convenient spot for eyebrow threading in the area. It's also super affordable @$10!! Pro tip: when you're done getting your eyebrows threaded go with witch hazel instead of aloe or at minimum do both. Witch hazel is a super toner for your skin and helps with swelling and redness as the skin around my eyes is very sensitive. Come to find out as I'm paying they do not honor either of these promotions and are fully aware that they are still listed on their yelp page. I've been coming to this location for almost 2 years now and the quality of eyebrow threading has always been consistent no matter who does them which I appreciate. My go to girl right now is Sharina she's got curly hair and her chair is normally one of the ones on the left when you walk in. She's amazing! They have multiple options for discounts, a few I've taken advantage of are the student discount, healthcare workers, and as of late the 10 eyebrow threadings for $50. Can't beat that deal! I have 2 sessions left and plan to renew it. I've even gotten a random text for a free threading after so many check ins! While service has always been great, with short waits, discounts, and good quality, I have to take off a star for one of the things they did during the majority of COVID that I thought was so unsanitary, wearing plastic/rubber gloves and not changing them between clients. Every time I had to ask whoever was doing my brows to change her gloves before touching my face. Idk why they thought just sanitizing in between was appropriate but hand sanitizer is meant for hands not single use gloves. It was annoying and disgusting to see them use hand sanitizer on the same gloves over and over. Yuck! Ive been going here for over a year. They use to not accept appointments then after Covid hit appointments were available in addition to call in. I was super ecstatic about appointments because that meant I can guarantee I'll be serviced with a reasonable time frame around my appointment and can plan my day better... but NO. When you arrive for your appointment, if others are already waiting you still have to wait until they get to you. Expect to wait 30 minutes for your 10 minute appointment. Quick and easy threading. I just moved to Dallas and was in need of a good threading salon! I live around the corner and I drove past this place everyday. My roommate stopped by one day and came home to tell me that she loved it, so I decided to stop by and try it for myself. And oh man was I happy I did. I walked in and sat for a minute before someone greeted me and ushered me to sign in. After a few minutes with the cashier, Kashan (spelling?!) ushered me to her chair. However, during my first visit, they initially said DFW only meant Fort Worth only...(umm?). They did grant it, but acted as if it was a huge favor. My eyebrows were on point though! And the wait was pretty short (~10 minutes). Today was my second visit and the experience was less than desirable. First, the line was pretty long and they kept taking clients who came after me. I had to wait ~ 30 minutes and the only reason it wasn't longer is because I asked what was going on. Turns out, they were short staffed and had just called a receptionist in. He did give me a discount for the inconvenience which was nice (def salvaged a point for service!). I really hate that they don't wear name tags. How are we supposed to know whose all who when the check in screen asks us if we want some specific. In my case, there's one lady who I do not want but I do not know her name. I have had my eyebrows done 3 times by this lady and I dreaded having her again after the first time. But how can I not embarrass her and be polite by telling her I don't want her when I get assigned to her. The first time I got my eyebrows done by her she took a whole 20 minutes. She went so slow and I knew while I was sitting there that my eyebrows were not being done well. They have never looked like twins like they should. She has gotten better over time, it's been over a year since that first time. However, my eyebrows never look super crisp like other ladies have done it. I will not return here because of this lady. There is no way of being polite and avoiding embarrassment by saying I specially don't want her without everyone hearing and noticing. They should really wear name tags so that this could have been prevented. I hate that I've paid for a service three times and have left disappointed. For those of you who want to avoid this lady, she's the oldest one and is typically in the first seat closest to the entrance on the right side. I originally gave this review 3 stars, but I am changing it to 4 because the manager reached out to me. What keeps me coming back is the price. With a student discount, the threading is $7. This place is absolutely the best bang for your buck as a student (make sure you bring your ID!). The reason for the low rating is that the last time I came here, the girl who went in front of me kept saying Ow and tearing up and having to take a break. Her threader kept just saying "I'm sorry I'm sorry" but clearly making no efforts to adjust her technique or make it more painless for the client. She did ask the client whether her eyebrows are particularly sensitive, and the client said it's never hurt like this before. I sat there praying I didn't get her. I been coming here for years. They recently went up on pricing, which is okay i guess because They always do good on my eyebrows so I pay the price. 12$ is a little high though. HOWEVER, I finally got a free eyebrow service ( you have to spend at least $120 or more to even get a free service...) I finally get a freebie and it expired on the 4th which I wasnt aware of. I came in today and they refused to honor it.... Which sucks because you spend alot of money just to get ONE FREE LITTLE SERVICE. Like my eyebrows that takes 10 minutes.... I am Very Picky about my eyebrows - have been going to the same perfect woman in LA since I was 11, and found my years in New York (and now Austin) bad comparisons to really good LA threading: someone that pulls out every hair, even the small ones, and teases out your ingrowns, with i minimal pain. So happy I found SOI on a recent trip up to Dallas. Durga at the Inwood location is THE BEST. Even better than my original LA mainstay. The most pain free eyebrow thread + full face wax I've ever had. She's incredibly thorough, gently massages your face after, and makes sure to liberally keep your skin soothed during the procedure so that you don't walk out the door red and bumpy at all, like I have after every single face wax.
