I assumed they didn't pay their lease and got the rug pulled out from under them. I called today fully expecting to get a message that they had closed down; instead, a lady answered. When I asked where they were yesterday, her response was "We were understaffed and had to close the doors." She said she called everyone (I didn't get the call). When it came time to end the call I said something like, "Ok, thanks" instead of saying "So sorry this happened" she said "No problem." Ugh!!!! No problem????? Ummm, yes it IS a problem!

Okay, I was waiting until I returned a few times for a fill before I reviewed so I could get a good…read moreopinion and feel of the lash work. I must say I love my lashes! I went with Ashley on my initial appointment because upon my research, her name was mentioned the most and highly regarded amongst the customers. The location is a cute boutique in the Fair Park area. There's always been ample street parking when I've gone but there isn't any dedicated parking for this place in particular. The inside is very chic and cute, with a social media selfie area to show off your lash/eyebrow work. They've made pretty good use of the space by setting up the technicians with their own little areas for their clients. Ashley's are is upstairs in the back which is prime because you don't get all of the downstairs/stairs/walking noise. I had an appointment with someone else who was at the first area upstairs, and you could feel and hear every footstep, it was a little unnerving honestly. Ashley is great, very professional, asks questions to see how you want your lashes etc. I didn't know how I wanted them so I let her do her thing. I loved how they turned out initially but after a week, they were pretty non-existent. When I went back for my two-week fill I spoke to her about it and she took a look and noticed that my lashes were pretty delicate and the extensions she used may have been a little too heavy, so she switched it up on the fill to a shorter lash which worked perfectly. On my third fill, Ashley wasn't available on the date that I was so she booked me with another technician. I wasn't really impressed with the substitution, she was a little rough and not as pleasant as Ashley but my lashes were nice. I'd definitely continue to patronize the Lash Loft, this was one of the only locations that did not require you to join or have automatic memberships in order to continue to be a customer.

This is something that a person has a right to know in advance when dealing with someone's eyes! My eyes burned for several minutes, I couldn't even open them. They expected that I should pay again to have someone else do what wasn't done right the first time while trying to make me feel bad saying the lady who would supposedly do the job correctly would get the money from the girl who didn't do the job correctly and not entirely kind about it, instilling a complete lack of confidence and trust for me to allow them to touch my eyes ever again. The customer should never be made to know that and just be offered a resolve in a respectful manner. Needless to say I canceled the so-called fix appointment. Complete waste of money. I did not get what I paid for and it is concerning when someone isn't experienced. Go somewhere else!

Cocoa is a lovely person and I really enjoyed talking to her while getting my lashes done, but as for the work itself, it was definitely not good. As a transplant, I have gotten my lashes done many many times before in NYC, LA, and SF so I've been looking for my new go-to place in Dallas... and this place is not it. Here are my gripes: 1) The room is dark and it is hard to see the true quality of the work until you step outside in broad daylight. 2) The first question a lash tech should ask is about the desired eye shape and lash length. She did not ask any of this. 3) Even though she did not ask about the desired look, she also didn't adhere to a standard look of any kind... it was not any of the following looks: natural, doll eyes, or cat eye. They were all just a bunch of long and heavy lashes glued mostly along the center of my eyelid. 4) The lash technician I went to today said the lashes applied by Cocoa were way too thick and heavy for Asian eyelashes, since we have very sparse and thin hairs. She also said the lashes used were too coarse for my eyes, and hard to remove. Overall, I would say that if you have gotten your lashes done many times before, then I would skip scheduling an appt here as you likely won't be satisfied with the end result.

I kept going back. Thanh asked me if I wanted to try Tiffany (her daughter) & I agreed. I'm glad I did! It seems like this whole family is quite talented at this. I feel confident that if I had to use the other girl there (Tanya?) she'd likely be great too since all her clients seem to love her as well. They use the NovaLash technique which is my favorite (you don't even feel the lashes!) Parking /Time tip: try arriving at least 5-10 minutes early so that you can find parking, it's pretty busy there & you may need the few extra minutes. Sometimes the techs may run over a few minutes but its usually minimal & they are basically making sure the clients look good before finishing (which they will do for you too!) it's always worth it! Appointments: Tiffany is great at communication so any appt. setting is probably a non-issue by now. I do recommend setting up your next appt. before you leave anyway, it saves time and hassle for both parties. I refer everyone I know to them & they always love them. I've never heard a complaint. I've gotten my lashes done multiple times at the Hillcrest location and now today for the first time had then done at Thanh's house. I'm sure a lot of people are hesitant to get this service done in someone's home, but she has everything set up professionally.. Just like at the shop. She even has a privacy screen blocking the table from the rest of the house, I felt very comfortable and relaxed. In fact, it's even better because there's no trouble parking!
