I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. She did a good job, and I will go back. There were no extras like buckwheat eye pillows or aromatherapy scents, just no-nonsense waxing. If you're looking for pampering, this may not be the place for you. But it was great for a quick wax. read more

LOVED seeing Leah for the first time today. Being new in town, Uptown Dallas Brazilian Waxing is a rip off so I went on Groupon and found Leah near my area while running errands today. Last minute decision for a brazillian wax but Leah squeezed me in and I really appreciated that! When I arrived she asked all the right questions and gave me an option not the two waxes since I inquired about it. She was very calm and I really enjoyed talking to her as she quickly took care of everything! I don't think I was in there for more than 35 min! She was so swift and confident and nonchalant that I never felt the pain. Leah is amazing and always has such a great spirit! I have been to her four times now for my Brazilians and every time not only makes me feel comfortable, but keeps it real without pushing unnecessary products. I explained to her I had been told so many myths about soft vs hard wax but Leah put all fears to sleep after explaining pain management is all about the skin prep. The three things I like most about Lakewood Body Care are: 1) Their commitment to a superior level of customer service 2) A consistent product that is tailored to my specifications 3) A great location in Dallas, Texas I usually get the 2 hour massage because 1 hour is just not enough when it comes to taking care of my massage needs. If you have never had a 2 hour massage then you are truly missing out on one of the best habits you can adopt. Make sure that you drink plenty of water after, tho. I have lived in Arlington, Denton and now Dallas and I have not found a better massage therapist than Amelia. Amelia no showed on my appointment. I made the first appointment (of three purchased through Groupon) about a month earlier via phone tag. Like most soloists, Amelia texts during breaks, but I don't use my cell phone much, so she called me. After I called about the no-show, Amelia did call me back. The impression I got is that texting works for setting up appointments with Amelia. Regular phone calls obviously do not. I know this stuff happens, but you'd have to be a better person than I am to not just ask Groupon for a refund. read more

Another one of those rare reviews where I just don't even want to post how good this place is! I visit Amelia on a regular basis for a massage, typically a 1 hour or 1.5 hour if I'm feeling extra sore. Don't walk in thinking you're going to be soaking up a spa setting and immersed in a plush bathrobe while drinking mimosas when you visit. No no, for the real massage-getters out there, we all know that although that would be nice, you go on a vacation for that- somewhere on a beach, that's at least a 5 hour flight away! This is the type of place where Amelia works out all your kinks and smooths out your knots. Say, "Bye Bye" to those aches and pains! What I appreciate the most is that Amelia won't talk if you're wanting that, or she may tell you a bit more on what area is just feeling a bit off if you want that, too. The place is always clean, smells fresh and relaxing to the point where you will fall into a deep sleep! I started going to see Amelia when she was in a share space off of lower Greenville, then she moved to Lakewood, and I believe she is moving one last time so she can expand her hours!
