We had read great things about this place and saw that they had good gluten-free options, so we ordered dinner takeout our first evening in the area. I opted for the Hot Chick, since I'm quite a fan of Nashville Hot Chicken sandwiches, with waffle fries on the side. The sandwich was really tasty! The chicken was perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the bun was nice and fluffy. Waffle fries were very nicely seasoned and cooked perfectly as well. Any place that can keep them occupied (without iPads), well fed with decent food for the entire family, live entertainment, and amazing drinks gets at least 4 stars. I've been wanting to try this place out for a few weeks so me and my family drove about 2 hours to give it a shot! Along with going to the beach of course! Listen I want you to understand that I'm going to be completely honest. I don't like to give bad reviews so when I give a review that's not so great I really try to explain. The atmosphere and vibe of the place was amazing! We ate outside, where they had lots of games and music exc... if we were basing this review just off the theming it would be a five star. The Food: I ordered the cauliflower bites W/ general tso sauce. Had a great bite, fried perfectly. My issue with them was that they had almost no flavor, no seasoning and very dry. When the server brought them out to me I said "oh I'm sorry I think the sauce was forgotten" and the server rudely told me that's how it comes. So I excepted it. Everyone else at the table enjoyed they're food. The alcoholic drinks: We ordered a drink called "anti-freeze". It was a great, fun looking drink and the ingredients listen were all good. Upon first taste, it was one of the worst drinks I've ever tasted...and I like all kinds of cocktails from straight to sweet. It wasn't about that. Just very unbalanced and a bad bad taste. The worst part of the whole experience was the service. Our server was absolutely terrible...I hate saying stuff like that. She almost completely ignored us the whole experience to the point where she would walk past us even after I would make eye contact, put my hand up and say "excuse me". I feel as if she mistreated us because of the fact that we are younger she thought "oh they probably won't tip so I don't care about them" even though that is so far from the truth. On top of all this, a few days later I checked my bank account only to find out they DOUBLE charged me. After seeing this that really made me upset. I had to talk to my bank and have them start the investigation process.... There is so much more I could talk about but I don't want to have a whole essay on Yelp. All I know is that none of us will ever be returning...sadly.. To end it on a positive note: the live performer they had that night was amazing! This place has so much personality--I have never been to a restaurant that was also a gas station! We came for dinner and it was a really fun experience. The handlettering and chalkboard look was really cute, it even extends to the bathroom! I enjoyed the live music throughout the night while trying out their menu they just updated apparently. We got the cauliflower bites with sticky Thai sauce and it was delicious to start our meal! The server and one of the musicians raves about their new Bangkok Noodles and I was really glad I tried it. The presentation was beautiful, it was a good balance of textures and flavors, and had a nice kick without it being too much. These were my favorites from the meal! I was a little suspicious of this place because the menu brings together so many random cuisines (American, Thai, Indian...) but I was pleasantly surprised. The gas station theme of the restaurant is fun, with the option of eating outdoor next to fake gas pumps or in a camper. We chose indoor with live music. With the music plus the decoration, it had the vibe of relaxing in someone's backyard with good drinks and good food. I got the spicy chicken sandwich, which was hands-down one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had in my life. I wanted to get more food from them later on during my stay in Cape May but, alas, they don't do takeout (at least they weren't in May 2021). Have drive past many times on the way to the lighthouse and sunset beach. Decided to stop for a early dinner. Party of 7 wait was about 20 minutes. You can bring a leashed well behaved dog as well for the dog lovers! Did take some Time for the food to come out but it was expected for how busy it was. Live music is always a plus and the musicians even took requests and interacted with the crowd. Several games are set up for the diners as well as the waiting parties to be seated to be feed. We had such an amazing experience here. We booked their newest solo dining experience, the Airstream Bubble, for Sunday brunch. We were not disappointed! This experience was so cool. We had our own private dining experience in the Bubble for an hour and a half. This included a heated area with a record player! First, the service is super friendly and attentive. We constantly had different waiters/waitresses checking on us to make sure everything was okay. Second, their brunch food was to die for! We got cinnamon pear mimosas which were great, and I ended up getting the huevos rancheros which was super fresh and yummy. It definitely did not disappoint! So we had burgers and felt sick in her stomach while all the rest of the day. Heard good things about this place so we decided to give it a try on our most recent visit to Cape May. This was during COVID and Christmas time, so they had turned the outside into outdoor dining as indoor dining was limited. The outdoors was beautifully decorated and they even had fake snow blowing around. We were fortunate enough to grab an indoor table, which was also nicely decorated with lights strung around the eating area. We found the variety of the menu somewhat limited. They have burgers and a few sandwiches and then quite a bit of Curry dishes. We all ended up getting burgers, which were decent but nothing to shout home about. We did really enjoy the crisp waffle fries! Service was a bit slow and we had to ask for silverware and napkins and then with that, they didn't bring out enough napkins for the table. This being my first time here, I asked the server for their recommendation, and ended up with the bang bang chicken and shrimp. The curry was hearty and well-portioned, with lots of coconut milk and subtle spices. It was well kept, with many unique odds and ends. The t shirts are made really well and I ended up buying one with a whale design on it. The material is perfect, light, airy and perfection! Just wish I could taste a bit of mango . Appetizer was the shrimp coconut soup and my entree was the Thai lobster curry . Great out door area, but 3 stars for the service. Whenever I'm here I'm being rushed out!! The last time I still had a mostly full beer and our waitress asked how much longer we planned to "hangout". Due to the manager making a comment that we were "there a while". It was a little over 1 hour, we ordered food and beer...and were enjoying the live music. This was the 2nd time it's happened to me and I've had other friends say they have had the exact same experience. I've worked in the food industry and I'm always respectful of table turnover, but there were multiple tables open and no line of people waiting for tables. My family and I have been customers here for a few years (we used to go before they were located at their current location) and it never disappoints! If you love Indian and Thai food, this is a must do on your vacation in Cape May! They also have great burgers, sandwiches, and Mac and cheese for less adventurous eaters. My favorite dishes are the cauliflower bites (one of my favorite appetizers EVER), the loaded tater tots appetizer, Thai lobster curry, bang bang chicken and shrimp curry, and the pad Thai noodles. The depth of flavor in each dish is incredible and is why I keep coming back here! Their summer watermelon cocktail is also great if you love a fruity and spicy cocktail! Because of COVID, they added outdoor seating and made their parking lot into a tiki bar. It is such a fun atmosphere and the tables are accurately distanced from each other. I'm not sure how so many good restaurants can be in Cape May, but Exit Zero Filling Station just got added to my list. We asked to be seated in the shade as it was rather sunny and hot, and the hostess was very accommodating. I had read the menu before I got there, but with it's very diverse food choices, it was still hard to make a decision. Because of the unusual choice of Thai food at what is best described as a diner, we decided to try a couple of the dishes and split them. We got the Thai Lobster and Bangkok Noodles. Both were incredible. The spice levels were perfect. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the fresh vegetables gave it a nice crunch. The Thai Lobster had a wonderful sauce and the rice just soaked up the flavor. We also had some nice cocktails. My wife had the cuke and I had the wicked watermelon. Both were very tasty and refreshing on the hot day. I must say that I won't base my rating on atmosphere amid the pandemic as I'm sure it's hard for certain places to deal with the outdoor restrictions. That being said, despite being near the gas station, they did a great job of creating a nice outside space and shielding the customers from the station. The only reason I didn't rate 5 stars was that the service was a little slow, although friendly, which seemed odd given the amount of people they seemed to have working there and the fact that it wasn't that crowded. So great to find a restaurant that is both kid and dog friendly - at least, outside. We went on a Monday night, and it was hopping. We got a table outside after about a 10 minute wait, which went by fast given they had live music. There were a bunch of families with kids and a couple dogs (the restaurant even has a dog menu!). We had our baby in a stroller, which we just pulled up to the table. They have some yard games and space beyond the tables where kids can run around without disrupting the tables. Needed to be significantly more salty and required more distinct flavors that curries generally provide. The chicken, when found because there was hardly any, was bone dry and crumbled to dust in my mouth. Quite the accomplishment as it was submerged in liquid. Also spotted was about a 3 inch, rock hard sweet potato. They brag about their curries and it takes up the entire middle of their menu, but I'd take a step back and work on it a bit. The hot chicken sandwich was a different story... 4.4/5 The seasoning, spice, breading, everything worked so well here. I found myself licking my fingers and plate. I wish the chicken filled the bun better- it was on the smaller side. And the waffle fries were perfect. Savored each bite. Otherwise, the place is really cool. Gas station turned restaurant. They served Cape May Brewing Co draft beers, servers were friendly and attentive, and they had awesome little trailers converted to private dining tables. I wanted to give this place five stars, I really did, but I have my reasons why I can't, which I'll detail below. We had come here earlier in the day to buy gas for the car. A very friendly girl told us all about how the gas station transforms and comes alive after 6pm for dinner outside, with live music, and great food & drink. We were sold and decided to come back. Well, sure enough, we came back at 6pm, and the place was already hopping. We put our name on the list, for my family of four. They have a nice little waiting area with chairs, and some games to keep the kids occupied. You can also walk up to the bar and order drinks while you wait. I was blown away by the concept and the ambiance. This was super cool to be outside, at a gas station, with music, and everyone seemingly having fun. The first issue I had was simply getting drinks. I was second in line when I walked up, but didn't get anyone to take my order for a solid 10 minutes. Finally, a woman took my order and said she'd bring me the drinks. All I ordered was a wine and one mixed drink. It took another 20 minutes for the drinks to come out. Way too long for a simple order. By the time we got our drinks, we were also seated a four top table. This is where the second issue occurred. It seemed as though our server wanted almost nothing to do with us. It took about 15 minutes after we were seated to be acknowledged by our server. He came over and got drink orders for our kids. We weren't quite done with our drinks that we got during our wait. This gave us an opportunity to look over the menu (on our phones). The menu here is pretty diverse, which is why I was drawn to this place. Lots of standard stuff, burgers, chicken, & seafood, but also some Thai food and a variety of curries. I love food diversity in a restaurant. My son ordered the chicken fingers, my wife the chicken sandwich, my daughter the salmon, and myself, I got the Pad Thai with Shrimp & Chicken. At this point, my wife and I were done with our drinks that we got during our wait for a table and we were ready for another round.....we were going to switch it up to just a couple beers. However, our server...nowhere to be found. After five minutes, I just decided to walk up to the outside bar and get the drinks myself. Up at the bar, I saw my server, but he just ignored me. I would have been happy to add the drinks to my bill, but he seemed to be distracted. By the way, it took five minutes to order two canned beers from the bar, again, why? When I got back to the table, the food had arrived. However, the table had never been properly set with utensils, so we asked for utensils. This took a lot longer than it should have, but at least the food stayed hot. Speaking of the food, this is where this place is a bright spot, because all the food was sensational. My wife's chicken sandwich was probably the highlight. My Pad Thai was huge, with big pieces of shrimp and chicken in there.....but it could have used a bit more protein given the amount of noodles I was given. My kid's meals were good as well. Ok, so now we're done with our food, and once again, no server to be found. My wife and kids got tired of waiting and decided to walk over to the ice cream shop across the street. I waited another five minutes, when finally our server showed up. I just gave him the credit card and asked him to run it no matter the bill so I could just get out of there and reunite with the family. So while I loved the concept and the food, the service needs a bit of a kick in the ass, or at least our server does. This doesn't negate the fact that the bar area is also very slow. I did notice that other servers were working their butts off, and perhaps my guy was a bit overwhelmed, I don't know, but that was MY experience. We showed up at 530 and didn't get seated until 630 it's really hard for young families which is the bulk of the families that come to cape may. I hate places that do not take reservations because this signals they value their profits more than they respects your time, or because they are SO conceited about their food. Service was also not great, we had to ask for EVERYTHING including napkins. Because my child ordered a water they did not give her a color changing cup. That was stupid. I don't plan on coming back. TLDR: Waited 2 1/2 hours before we finally ate. We were really excited to visit Exit Zero during our baby moon to Cape May because of the extensive menu with solid vegetarian options and the cool ambiance. We got to the restaurant around 6 and we're told it would be about a 30 minute wait. Since there seemed to be a lot of tables available outside and inside we figured no big deal and went inside to bar to kill time. Having walked over and being 8 months pregnant, I was overheated and we struggled for a bit to find seating near the bar and get a glass a water. Eventually we asked for water from other staff bc the bartenders were overwhelmed. At some point we finally got the attention of a bartender and they were able to make me a mocktail which was delicious. After a half hour, we went outside to check in and were told it was actually an hour plus. Now this is when we should have left but figured we already waited this long and it would go quickly. At the 7 o'clock hour, we ventured back outside to check in. That's when we were told the kitchen was backed up and that's why we had been waiting so long. At one point, the hostess had to turn down customers bc how outrageous the wait was and they wouldn't be seating until after closing. We were finally seated before 8 after having waited almost 2 hours. We ordered as soon as the waitress came over who apologized for the wait. The cauliflower bites came out almost right away but we then proceeded to wait another 30-45 minutes for our dinner (Christmas curry with paneer and chicken Caesar salad). The food was overall good but at that point we were pretty upset after waiting 2 1/2 hours to eat. At no point did a manger come out to apologize and/or rectify the situation. We understood that it was not the waitstaff fault and did not want to take it out on her but we did ask for a discount and to speak to the manager. We did receive a 50% discount which we appreciated but the manger never came out. This restaurant is one of a kind down in cape may. It is a great starting point for the introduction of Indian and Asian dishes however the dishes left a lot to be desired. The naan was hard and difficult to part. The dishes are were not well spiced and tasted bland. The concept of the restaurant is very cute and the service was friendly and quick. I was hoping for a tastier experience. I eat a lot of Thai and Indian food so my expectations could just be high. read more

Wonderful wonderful wonderful experience....Start to finish! The cocktails were fantastic! We ordered potstickers, 2 orders of cauliflower bites (WOW), Asian sticky wings, burgers, blackened salmon, lobster pot pie, Mac n cheese, and the hot chicken sandwich. ALL WERE FANTASTIC! While still there we made a reservation for Memorial Day weekend. Super excited to come back! read more
