When in New Jersey, I like to get a pork roll egg and cheese sandwich. I ordered the sandwich and had to tell the waiter that I thought they made a mistake that it was just an egg and cheese. There was no pork roll. The cook said that that it's in there. I unfolded all the eggs and I did find a single slice of pork roll. For this price, I would've expected a little bit more meat. The sandwich tasted fine just a little chintzy for the price. Two or three slices of pork roll is the standard. Also, it should sit on top of the eggs and cheese. Pretty much what most people probably expect when they are going to dine at a beach boardwalk restaurant - average, pedestrian food that you feel you are risking your health on. The decor of the restaurant is pretty blah and drab with its maroon-colored booths and the menu is just ALLLL over the place with a hodgepodge of American "favorites" OR as I'd like to call it "heart attack" food. Surprisingly, they do serve salads here, as well as wraps and veggie dishes, but the stars of the menu are on the fried or greasy side - as in - pizza, burgers, philly steaks, Italian food, gyros/souvlaki and fried seafood baskets. Since we were kind of exhausted from our day on the Wildwood Boardwalk, we pretty much had an "F-it" attitude and needed to desperately refuel. We ended up getting 2 slices of pizza (plain cheese and buffalo chicken), a mushroom cheese steak (with whiz) and a spaghetti with meatballs. As I said, the food was pretty much what you'd expect. What we thought was going to be the best thing we ordered, ended up being the worst though - and that was the pizza. The pizza slices were pretty small and weren't all that hot by the time it reached our table. However, the mushroom cheesesteak was a surprising bright spot though. It was no real Philly cheesesteak by any means, but the bread was exceptionally soft and the presentation of the steak was decent. Did we have high expectations? Absolutely not. Should you have high expectations when dining here? Absolutely not. So with that said, before sitting down, you should know what you're getting yourself into and as long as you keep those expectations realistic, you'll mostly enjoy your meal here as it's really not the worst place you can eat, even if it looks of it.

Servers were attentive and quick. Food isn't bad and you get a good amount for what you pay for, especially the kid's meals. My husband loves their gyro platter, my oldest had a house salad with grilled chicken that was fresh with well seasoned chicken, and I had ravioli with meatballs - the sauce was flavorful and the meatballs, while not as good as my homemade ones were actually pretty good! We've been a few times and have also enjoyed their pizza. I wish they had breakfast available all day, but no luck there!
Got here and had a great waitress, she was very attentive to detail with everything! All of our food was very good. Price was a little high but I don't mind paying for great food. The place a very friendly and old vibe to it!

Yum! Stopped here every morning for a fabulous bagel sandwich with Taylor ham and scrambled eggs and cheese. It was outstanding! The owner is very nice and the staff is very accommodating. We will definitely be back. read more

The good old fashioned Olympic flame restaurant is a staple in our family, year after year when we come to wildwood. Have a good morning walk on the beach head to the boardwalk to get run over by some bikes and hit up our local favorite breakfast spot. They have a corner counter where you can order Togo or an inside with traditional booths both are great options. Eggs are cooked nicely, always got to get the home-fries crispy as they are sliced potatoes and the sausage links are cooked slightly crispy. Pancakes are fluffy with a nice mix of fruit and whipped cream. Breakfast sandwiches have changed up a bit from previous years, they now offer a bagel, sub roll, or crescent, they used to have a nice hard roll option... Prices are average for the boardwalk. Our server was nice, efficient and food came out fast. Food is worth the 1.8 mile walk from our hotel. See you next time! Stop in and give them a try! read more

Got here and had a great waitress, she was very attentive to detail with everything! All of our food was very good. Price was a little high but I don't mind paying for great food. The place a very friendly and old vibe to it! read more

Great spot on Wildwood boardwalk. Opens early with lots of breakfast choices. Owners working up front are so nice. Plenty of seating in the a/c. read more

Came here for lunch in the 4th if July. Wasn't that crowded, and service was great. The waitress kept coming to the table to see if we needed anything. I had the mushroom bacon burger, my girlfriend had the shrimp parm pasta, and we split an order of the Old Bay fries. The portions were very large, and we ended up taking plenty of pasta and fries home for another meal. The fries were perfectly seasoned. The burger was a little well done but the mushrooms and bacon more than made up for it. Good place to stop by real quick for a good bite to eat on the boardwalk. read more

I have never wanted to yelp or review of any kind before, but I downloaded this app just to share with the world how shitty this place is. Close your eyes. Sit back. Imagine the worst dining experience you could have. Next, imagine that when you go to spend your real human dollars you worked for on that experience the lady at the cash register gives you a difficult time. Open your eyes. You're at Olympic flame bro. Again, I hate reviewing shit and like I'd like to think I'm not a complete asshole like 100% of the time but legit I'd rather go sit at the DMV for a week straight with a cellphone with no data and watch all the Paul blart movies then go back there. The first ones not that bad tbh but the second one is almost on par with this movie. In other words, Olympic flame is Paul blart mall cop 2. 6 thumbs down read more
Most restaurants on the boardwalk are one-hit wonders, offering either pizza or hot dogs or gyros or ice cream, etc. It can be hard to find a place that can satisfy the whole family, and especially to find one which can offer relatively healthy alternatives amidst the grease and sugar that surrounds you. Olympic Flame is the place to go to find a wide variety of foods, including many relatively healthy options. They are as close as you can get to a Jersey Diner on the boardwalk, and offers a wide variety of sandwiches, dinners, vegetables, and salads, as well as the usual boardwalk stapes of pizza and soda. A family can find a hot dog for Jimmy, chicken sandwich for sally, healthy salad for Mom, and a massive grinder for Dad all under the same roof. And under a roof that also houses a friendly and efficient staff, and clean bathrooms. When you have had your fill of grease, come on down to Olympic Flame for a real meal at a decent price. [Updated 2009: Most of the restaurants on the boardwalk now charge for water. Olympic Flame is one of the few who will still give you a large ice water for free, instead of charging for bottled water.] read more

We stopped in one morning about weeks ago while visiting Wildwood for the weekend. It was hot out and this place had ac. We had bacon ,eggs, and homefries, the srving was very descent and ended up bringing some home also. The food however wasnt very tasty. It did its job... meaning it wasnt terrible but it was just, meh. The prices are reasonable and the coffee was good. The service was excellent our waiter was great. This is a good spot to grab a bite yo eat quickly. read more
I stopped in here for breakfast while on a morning bike ride just because it looked nice and I'm sure glad that we stopped! The friendly hostess invited us to bring our bike inside to keep an eye on them since there was not a bike rack out front on the boardwalk. There was air conditioning but still an open front where people could sit at the counter and enjoy a meal while sitting on the boardwalk; with this we got the best of both world's. It was notably well kept and clean inside which shouldn't be a lot to say but a lot of places on the boardwalk slack in this department. I opted for the pancake breakfast special which came with two pancakes, two eggs and choice of meat. I tried a few home fries as well and they were really good. Service was excellent, prices were fair and the coffee was good. This is my new boardwalk breakfast stop! read more
Stopped into get out of the sun for a bit on a unbelievably hot day. Order the cheapest thing on the menu, a slice of plain...was probably the best slice I have had on the boardwalk. I know I'm gonna get flack for that comment from Sam & Mack supporters but it honestly was. Maybe it was a really good day for them or it was because we ordered at 11:30 in the morn. Service was good too. The crust was thin but still had some substance with just the right amount of flavorful sauce, the cheese was gooey and plentiful but not greasy. The restrooms clean. Definitely a keeper on the boardwalk list. read more

Not sure why this restaurant is open but when my family and I ate there; the food was very tasteless. No flavor but unfortunately there seem to be a lot of people that ate there. It was packed; that is what encouraged me to stop in the first place. How can boiled corn be so tasteless. How can gyro taste like nothing? The place was not clean at all. Not sure where the others ate but they must have been lucky. I was outraged but not only the food but also the price as this place is not cheap. Never again. read more
