Pretty much what most people probably expect when they are going to dine at a beach boardwalk restaurant - average, pedestrian food that you feel you are risking your health on. The decor of the restaurant is pretty blah and drab with its maroon-colored booths and the menu is just ALLLL over the place with a hodgepodge of American "favorites" OR as I'd like to call it "heart attack" food. Surprisingly, they do serve salads here, as well as wraps and veggie dishes, but the stars of the menu are on the fried or greasy side - as in - pizza, burgers, philly steaks, Italian food, gyros/souvlaki and fried seafood baskets. Since we were kind of exhausted from our day on the Wildwood Boardwalk, we pretty much had an "F-it" attitude and needed to desperately refuel. We ended up getting 2 slices of pizza (plain cheese and buffalo chicken), a mushroom cheese steak (with whiz) and a spaghetti with meatballs. As I said, the food was pretty much what you'd expect. What we thought was going to be the best thing we ordered, ended up being the worst though - and that was the pizza. The pizza slices were pretty small and weren't all that hot by the time it reached our table. However, the mushroom cheesesteak was a surprising bright spot though. It was no real Philly cheesesteak by any means, but the bread was exceptionally soft and the presentation of the steak was decent. Did we have high expectations? Absolutely not. Should you have high expectations when dining here? Absolutely not. Servers were attentive and quick. Food isn't bad and you get a good amount for what you pay for, especially the kid's meals. My husband loves their gyro platter, my oldest had a house salad with grilled chicken that was fresh with well seasoned chicken, and I had ravioli with meatballs - the sauce was flavorful and the meatballs, while not as good as my homemade ones were actually pretty good! Me and my family were here this past week and we were all so excited to eat her again since we loved it so much last year!! But the breakfast food was alright nothing too exciting. We did love the cheesy eggs but that's about it. Decided to try the dinner and I got chicken tenders and they were very fatty and tasted gross. Came here for lunch in the 4th if July. Wasn't that crowded, and service was great. The waitress kept coming to the table to see if we needed anything. I had the mushroom bacon burger, my girlfriend had the shrimp parm pasta, and we split an order of the Old Bay fries. The portions were very large, and we ended up taking plenty of pasta and fries home for another meal. The fries were perfectly seasoned. I stopped in here for breakfast while on a morning bike ride just because it looked nice and I'm sure glad that we stopped! The friendly hostess invited us to bring our bike inside to keep an eye on them since there was not a bike rack out front on the boardwalk. There was air conditioning but still an open front where people could sit at the counter and enjoy a meal while sitting on the boardwalk; with this we got the best of both world's. It was notably well kept and clean inside which shouldn't be a lot to say but a lot of places on the boardwalk slack in this department. I opted for the pancake breakfast special which came with two pancakes, two eggs and choice of meat. I tried a few home fries as well and they were really good. This is quite possibly the worst meal I've ever had in my life. Marina and I decided to pig out a little bit on the last night of our 3 day weekend and were unfortunate enough to walk into this dump. We ordered ravioli with cheese and meatballs. The order arrived cold, the sauce was completely flavorless, and the meat was also unseasoned and unappetizing. The worst were the shrimp basket. I figured that we were sitting about 100 yards from the water, the seafood should be relatively fresh and well prepared. I admit, I was wrong. The most disgusting, overcooked shrimp, that were not even divined. Thanks for serving me an animal full of it's own shit. Maybe the ravioli was going to be salvageable with some heat, but only after the waitress finished stuffing her face in the table directly next to us was she kind enough to go get our order, which has been sitting there forever, and bring it to us. I also had an insect leg in my seltzer. What more can I say. This place needs a health inspector. read more

Do not go there unless you plan on getting food poisoning! Our group sat where the cooks are & we noticed how disgusting this place is. Noticed one of the cooks never once washed his hands, he touched his cellphone, collected cash, ate his food, touched his face/mouth, touched his dirty towel (like it cleaned anything!), made our food without washing his hands once. He was also making other customers food, placing tomatoes, etc on the sandwich and never once used any gloves or washed hands. Fun middle of the morning stroll on the boardwalk made me very hungry. Stopped into the Olympic Flame to get in the AC and try their breakfast offerings. I decided to go savory, ordering their Feta & Cheese omelette w/ spinach and added bacon on the side (great decision). My wife went sweet with French Toast and a side of home-fries which also came with bacon. Food was awesome, as the omelette had a great balance of feta/spinach, home-fries were very crispy (just the way I like em) and lastly the bacon was on point, crispy and delicious. Snagged a bite of the French toast and it was delicious as well, all around a great breakfast meal! Service was attentive, accurate, speedy and not invasive at all. Great little morning overall.
