We walked in yesterday after a long day at my craft fair it was only about 3:30 and the bar was packed and mostly standing room. Never being there before we stood at the hostess desk waiting for seats in the restaurant. While we waited there was a table of 4 and a table with one man. No one ever came to seat us while we store for about 10 minutes. As we looked around the bar area was having a ball and the table of 4 seemed happy but that one man sitting there alone looked left to fend for himself. Bumping up another star based on our experience last night. As always the Waterfront has good service and great views if you can snag a table on the roof deck. We visited with a party of 8 and everyone enjoyed the food and drinks. They added pizza to the menu this year and as skeptical as I was I decided to try it, as did 2 others in my party. I have to say I was impressed. The pizza was served in a pan and had a thin, crispy crust with a slightly sweet tomato sauce. I ordered the "Roni" which was generously topped with pepperoni, long hot peppers, and hot honey. I thoroughly enjoyed it and only finished half because the size was bigger than expected (2 can share). Oh well, leftovers for me...yay! There was no hostess ready when we got there, waited for a good hour for our food, only for the waitress to tell us that it'll be ready in "5-10 minutes" once we asked. We ended up leaving. Service is consistently slow at breakfast, assume they're short staffed, it's been like this the past few years. Hostess is running drinks, you wait 5-10 minutes standing at the door before she notices you need a table. Waitresses are slow to get to tables, be ready to order when they stop by, they'll check in once after food arrives. Don't expect a refill. It's your responsibility to flag someone down to get a check. Basic breakfast with one coffee takes over an hour, most of which is waiting with nothing in front of you. Myself and some coworkers have been frequenting this spot for lunch regularly. This place is pretty solid. It's a very well kept restaurant/bar with plenty of seating and really good food. I've tried quite a lot of items on their menu at this point. To date, everything I've ordered has been really good and nothing has disappointed me yet. I think my favorites are the "Surf and Turf Burger" and the "Pineapple Grilled Chicken Sandwich". The Surf and Turf Burger has a deep fried shrimp in the patty with coleslaw and sauce. Everything about it was cooked perfectly. The Pineapple Grilled Chicken Sandwich has this amazing sauce that goes really well with the chicken. Only thing to keep in mind is that they are cash only. That's the only criticism I have of the establishment. Luckily their prices are pretty competitive, especially considering the area and the competition. This is a great lunch spot, we are always in and out within our lunch hour. So I have absolutely no other complaints other than being cash-only and would highly recommend checking it out. read more

Anyway, there's an open spacious area when you walk in, with a super large rectangular bar front and center with a bunch of high tops scattered around, and a separate dining room with lower tables to the side. Pretty standard layout and pub menu, heavy on the burgers and wraps and nachos. The room is decently lit with a bunch of TVs scattered around, but nothing exceptional and not dive-y. The real party is upstairs where there's more outside seating, an open bar with a tropical vibe, and a much better view of the water channel across the street. This restaurant has a waterfront but it's not along the coast. There's a canal across the street that makes it waterfront. We opted to sit inside with the air conditioning as opposed to outside where it was awfully windy and humid. The tv in the dining room had a loop of the beautiful food that they serve. We had a chicken tender appetizer, which was pretty basic frozen )but actually quite yummy. For dinner, I chose the fresh flounder, served with chunky mashed potatoes and a vegetable medley. To sum it up in three words: What a shithole. The best way to describe our waitress is that she didn't give a shit. She was nasty and rude. Been here many times and usually a good experience. Food is always decent for the price and the drafts are super cold. The eggplant stacker was delicious. Chicken florentine was good but could of had some more chicken. Fries were awful which is a difficult thing to do. The problem on Friday night was the dj. He was playing good music but it was so loud you couldn't hear. Like ear bleeding loud. A few tables around us even left because of the volume. My son and I shared both the Jersey crab and bisque- we liked the bisque better but both were pretty good. Other people in our group had a cheesesteak, a Rueben, a cheeseburger, kids grilled cheese, kids chicken fingers, cheesesteak egg rolls, steamers, dynamite shrimp, bacon wrapped scallops, shrimp cocktail and everyone felt it was pretty good. Im writing this review still completely confused. I made a reservation for 6 for the outdoor deck. I confirmed it would be a covered area though and assured yes. We arrived on time and sent upstairs and that's where it gets a bit nutty. Our table was given to another party so they made a space for us under the boiling sun. We finally got the attention of our waitress to put in our order and she was a ghost after that. We asked for ranch and honey mustard for our two orders of chicken fingers when ordering and twice more and it never arrived. Long story long, we spent two hours in this place for chicken fingers, a cheesesteak, a burger, crab sandwich, and two fried chicken sandwiches. All were pretty decent but nothing to run back to again because of service and waiting made it not worth the hassle. It was not busy at all when we arrived. I think we were one of 4 tables seated. The 2 stars are for the prices. Very reasonable! But go experience it for yourself and prove me wrong. Although we've had a place in the Wildwoods for a few years, I discovered this place today on Google maps today and thought we'd give it a try. The food was ok but the service was just awful. As I want the owner or manager to read this, I will specify that I had the middle aged waitress (vs the younger one). The 3 of us went for lunch and ordered a dozen raw oysters, steamers, mussels, a hoagie, and a burger. First our steamers and mussels came, but shortly after our hoagie and burger arrived. The waitress came over a minute later with our check (yes - we received the check before we even took our first bite and before all of our dishes arrived), and asked how things were at the same time she put the check on the table. After we told her we didn't receive the oysters, she said she'd tell them to make it right away. As we ate our appetizers and patiently waited, no oysters arrived. We waited some more but our main dishes were starting to get cold. I assumed maybe that our waitress left hence why she gave us the check, but after getting up and going around the bar, I saw her there and told her to cancel our oysters and re-do the check. The hostess came over to give us a new check. There are soo many good places to eat around here that have great food and great service. We had high hopes for this place but it was a big letdown. The mussels and burger weren't bad, but the rest of the food was ok at best. But when our waitress came before we even took the first bite and we didn't get the oysters, I was a bit unimpressed. Our party of 9 came here for the first time early on a Saturday night in March. We were lucky to be able to get a table without a wait since it started filling in quickly after we arrived. The hostess, Jean, was very friendly and checked on us frequently. Our server, Kelly was also amazing. There was a band setting up and the atmosphere was fun and festive. We ordered the pretzels, wings and texas cheese fries (bacon on the side) as appetizers and the crew scarfed them down so fast, I didn't get to snap any photos. Dinner was just as delicious. I got the shrimp tacos. The creme on top was a little heavy, and I would've liked some pickled onion or similar for some bite, but the shrimp was crispy and had a good flavored sauce. My hubs got the Turkey club and he enjoyed it. Sis and her hub got the fish and chips and eggplant tower. The kids got a variety of dishes (photos below). Overall, everyone enjoyed their meals and were full. We are excited to have such a welcoming spot, walking distance from where we usually stay.
