    Seafood Alfredo
    Elizabeth O.

Food is always pretty good here. Used to love coming for the all you can eat snow crab legs but the price has unfortunately gone up significantly. The most recent visit I got the Seafood Alfredo. The sauce was pretty good and had a fair amount of shrimp, scallops and lobster. My boyfriend had the fried seafood combo which was very filling! He seemed to enjoy it. He got Mac and cheese as one of his sides but was a little disappointed it tasted just like stouffers. I tried their watermelon crush which was a tasty drink. Service was good, not the most upbeat but she took care of us. The atmosphere is always nice because they're right on the water. I'd say it's worth checking out if you're in town.

Avoid this place at all cost. Over-priced seafood. Waitress has no idea what she is doing. Appetizers came after main entrees. Main entrees were the size of appetizers. See the picture: $45 for 3 pieces of scallops, 2 pieces of shrimps, two bake clams, and one tiny crab cake.

Bottom line... there's nothing wrong with it here. Thankfully we ate during early bird hours for a better price. I went for the fried flounder since it was advertised as local and it tasted fresh enough. People at the table seemed to enjoy the crab cakes. Sides were prepared well and service was attentive and friendly. But I can't say that there's anything special here that would make me want to come back. It was good but not memorable.

Mac and Cheese (No sides) Fried Shrimp & Scallop Combination

A very chill spot by the pier with an arcade for the kids at the front and bar(s) for adults. Service was wonderful, hardworking servers and attentive hosts, which makes it better. The only reason for the low rating is the taste of the food however, respectfully, I felt like the Mac and cheese was equal or even less than that of Kraft Mac and Cheese. The French fries were doable, cold but edible. I ordered the fried shrimp which was to be safe however still felt like I was eating 10% shrimp and 90% batter. The salad with the entree was probably the best thing. The soda/ginger ale taste a little funky? My group of 9 enjoyed the food however felt like this place will make you full; rather than give your taste buds a dance battle. To each their own on taste of food, however for me it's a miss. Ambience however was lovely. Also my nephew's snow crab boil had corn that was white/pale yellow which was giving me an impression that it was frozen.

..many years ago - fresh out of HS - I went with a couple'a friends to Wildwood & as the keeper of the Mobil Travel Guide® (there was no Yelp/Internet back then) I narrowed our 'big dinner choice' between what was then called Urie's Fish Fry & the Lobster House in Cape May - I chose the latter for us...beginning a long run of spending more time in CM ...sooooo anyway - fast forward to now - after countless visits to Cape May County and curious about the alternate timeline, I finally decided to stop here - especially since after 45 years it's still here! Located in a great spot, just off Rio Grande, we showed up about a half hour before sunset on Memorial Day. No issues getting seated with a good view of the water. Drinks came quickly & we placed an app order which admittedly took awhile as did our entrees ...but it seemed to be a small staff working a holiday ;) the app wasn't the best I've had, but the Steak & Tail entrée was pretty good as was my Girlfriend's Shrimp Scampi (I managed a sampling;). Always enjoy dining by the water & this experience was a good one - any regrets not coming here before?...nah - but I'm glad I finally checked Urie's out. I'm sure it would be a great place to hang out on the weekends!

Early Dine -chicken parm, prime rib, mini seafood combo

8/17/2023 I honestly wouldn't have even considered going back here after the abominable experience last year. My friend, who has a home in the beautiful Grande, gave Uries a second chance and she really enjoyed it. If it wasn't for her I would've assumed they would be shellacking customers again this year. My husband predicted Uries would feel the pain of their stupid business decision of last year eliminating early dine, eliminating salad, choice of sides and eliminating bread too. I think they are still suffering. There was no line in peak season and the restaurant wasn't busy. I got prime rib it was good but needed au jus sauce. Our server, Matt was excellent. My party was happy with what they ordered. I'm glad I chose not to burn my Uries shirt last year because the shirt selections are pretty bad this year. I will probably go back if they continue to hear the customers. I think a lot of business will be lost for good because of the fiasco in 2022.

    Mozzarella sticks MINUS the mozzarella!!!!

So I went here against my better judgement as I'd seen the many reviews panning the food etc. My daughter really wanted crabs so we went. There was a bit of a wait so we waited. We were texted saying our table was ready but then had to wait in another semi line to be seated. We unfortunately were seated in an area with a table of about 4 young girls and 2 adults. The girls were not only extremely loud but the one kept tilting her chair and making the legs smash the floor over and over again. I thought something was banging above us until I realized. What happened to keeping your children at bay while out and having consideration for those around you?! I know children are children but this was nuts. I asked to be moved after ordering drinks because there was NO way I could deal with this or should have to while having dinner. (Never thought this would take almost 3 hours). We were moved however our waitress changed unfortunately. The first one was nice just like our new one. So the new one comes over and asks if we need drinks we advised we already have drinks. She asks about ordering. We ask a few questions about things on the menu. She advises us, we order. 3 of us got the broiled seafood combo, 1 got the chicken parm the other the all you can eat snow crabs. She advised that the crabs would be the first to come out and was that okay. My daughter said sure thats fine. We also ordered mozzarella sticks, crab balls and mussels. While waiting we see people get bread also just having drinks so I ask for bread she brings us bread this was after us sitting for a while and we are hungry. We wait and wait and wait. The waitress comes by and says I'm sorry we are waiting on your mussell's. We say I thought you said the crabs would be out first. She says no usually we bring the apps out first. We were super confused as she totally just contradicted her original statement. Mind you the crabs are all you can eat and she now has very limited time to get her monies worth as it is $90. Finally they bring out the sticks, mussels and balls. The mozzarella sticks literally taste like grease and 4 of the 6 had absolutely NO cheese in them. At this point my hsuband was starved so he just said screw it and ate them. The balls left a lot to be desired and the mussels were good. Finally my daughter gets her first batch of crabs. She is eating them at a rapid pace as she doesn't have a ton of time to enjoy and get her monies worth. We then get our side salads they were super skimpy but I ate it I was starved. Then I wait again. Finally our main meals come out. I'm like this looks ok even the flounder which I advised I didn't eat and asked for a substitute such as another few shrimp or something and was told THEY DON'T do that. So I start eating the shrimp have NO flavor nor does the flounder. The scallops were OK but had to be drowned in butter. I didn't really like the clams casino or deviled crab. My daughter's fiancé agrees and says she isn't eating hers the entire things has NO flavor. My son says I'm starved I have to eat something and eats his. My husband ate his chicken parm as he was starved as well and literally refuses to complain about his meal at a restaurant but he also wasn't thrilled with his. My daughter liked her crabs but literally was skarfing them down because it took almost 40 minutes before she got her first bowl. I tell our waitress about the issue with the 2 of our meals. I had eaten some scallops and shrimp but told her they had no flavor but I was starved. Also told her that the other person wasn't going to eat theirs to please remove from the bill. When she gave us the bill she said we were able to remove hers and yours. When I looked at the bill I noticed they had only removed half of mine.. We trully should have just left after waiting way to long for anything to arrive at our table. When all was said and done half of us still had to leave here and eat something else as we didn't have dinner and were less than satisfied with anything we were served. Bottom line Urie's don't let children run all around the place. Serve food in a timely manner and at least serve quality and savory good not the flavorless stuff we received. Besides my daughter's crabs the entire meal should have been comped. I would personally skip this place just a heads up!.

Me and my fiancée took a trip down the shore and she wanted to stop here for dinner. She's gone here several times with her grandfather, and wanted give my take on it. We were greeted by the staff right way when we walked in. They had an open bar both inside and outside. The view outside was beautiful. When we were seated, our waiter Ben took our orders and made sure we received everything in a timely manner. He was very professional. We both ordered the crab legs special and it was delicious. It was a little on the pricey side, but it was definitely worth the price. They also have an early bird menu if you get there at opening, if you're looking for a good deal. When I come down to Wildwood again, I will definitely come back here again. I recommend it highly.

We ate here last week. It was awful. My daughter and husband got the prime rib and both were full of gristle. I got lobster and it was very tough, I couldn't cut it with a steak knife it was so tough. My baked potato when I cut it open was black rotted on the one side so I showed waitress and sent back. My veggies were good tho! My granddaughter got chicken fingers and she didn't like them said they were like rubber. Very disappointed and won't have to go back. Very high price for not good food. Get better quality people!!! Two seafood meals last week and both stunk. Very sad

The main attraction of this place is that it's right on the water and has nice views at sunset. Service was great, our server kept checking on us and was attentive. Entrees come with salad, bread, and choice of two sides. I ordered fried crab cakes, which were delicious as was the baked potato. The mac & cheese was a bit cold and reminded me off Wawa mac (if you know you know), which I do like except not when I'm at a restaurant! We had orange crushes, which weren't anything to write home about.

Dirty water mussels and crab cake entree

This is hands down the worst resturant I've ever been to in my entire life. First I received a stale beer then I got a New England clam chowder and it tasted like I was sipping salt and the clams were from a freezer bag. So then for an appetizer I got the mussels in the so called white sauce and it was the worse quality mussels sitting in a dirty dish looking liquid. Then I get the crab cake entree that came with Mac and cheese and fries and first off the crab cake was all dough and the crab was most likely imitation crab then the Mac and cheese was worse then the craft Mac and cheese you make in the microwave and lastly the French fries even sucked. Prices went up horrible I don't know who's paying for this place. To top it all off I went to the bathroom to throw up halfway through the dinner. I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to eat at this place.

Part of me thinks that when my partner and I came for an early dinner we were the youngest people here. We both got a bit of a giggle from this since we're not super young ourselves. I looked up reviews for places to go with good shrimp on the menu. From the reviews this was the place that was open that we went to. And it was not what I expected at all. We were seated in what felt like an open air patio right by the water. Because we got there so early we were able to get a table right on the water. They do have sun shades which helped keep the glare out of our eyes. The menu had a variety of things not just seafood. I will say most of their kids menu for my 2-year-old consisted of fried items which really didn't tickle my fancy. But the waiter helped us navigate that which we really did appreciate. My partner who is not always seafood forward opted for steak and potatoes. It's his main go-to so of course I didn't really expect anything different. He did say that he was thinking about adding on crab cakes if he was still hungry after the steak. I decided to go big. After reviewing the menu I decided that the seafood Alfredo was what I was getting. And man it was delicious. I could not believe how much seafood was in it and the taste was incredible. It had a lobster tail, scallops, and shrimp in the dish. I will let you know that I did not eat all of it and I was able to take some home for the next day. For my daughter we got the peel and eat shrimp the 1 lb appetizer and that fulfilled her delicious need for shrimp. Or shrimpies as she calls them. I wish I would have left a little room for a dessert but after eating my meal, what I could of it, there wasn't any room. I would suggest going early to get a nice table by the water. The view was spectacular and the food was pretty great too.

First impression...ambiance...the restaurant was a bit dark, but I got over it. Our waitress was lovely, very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. I started with oysters. They were the biggest I've ever had. They had manhattan clam chowder, New England clam chowder and a corn chowder on the menu...I didn't k whip to pick...but I didn't h to choose because they had a flight of soups and I got to try them all. I wish all restaurants had this! For my main meal, I had the 1lb mussels in marinara from appetizer menu. I loved my meal. I would go back.

Shawns Cheesesteak down the block is a better place to go. Tried the "Crispy Shrimp and Mango" (not pictured) from a friend which I was originally going to get. The waitress told me it came with 3pcs so i passed on it because 3 shrimps for $15.50 is crazy work. When it came out my friend told me it actually came with 5 pieces which was a little better. The taste was actually pretty good nice size pieces and a mix of sweetness and spiciness One thing i will also add... If customers are paying to eat, you shouldn't charge them the $5 entry fee. It'll leave a bitter taste in their mouth especially since the food wasn't good.
