Tried on a whim & it was close to the hotel - we were blown away by the flavors of the food. I have to say each bite was a delight and really expanded my taste buds. We struggled with the menu at first, lighting is low, but we found out you can adjust lamp(later). All our selections were delicious, we were so happy we gave it a shot. I'm not sure if it was the owner or manager, but the gentleman who greeted us tonight was a wonderful host from beginning to end! He first asked if we had dietary restrictions and spicy preferences. With that information he gave detailed recommendations from the menu. Decided to try out this place on Valentines Day as a stop on our way to ACNJ. Were seated promptly at time of reservation. The place itself is very nice and they added some decorations for the occasion, which was lovely. We always over order on food to have a variety and leftovers., in all, we tried four dishes and an app with all being very delicious and flavorful. The portions were large compared to other restaurants. We got talking to those around us who were regulars who said the food is always consistent and good. The only issue that all 3 tables mentioned was the slow service. They are very slooooow and inattentive. It wasn't just us, it was everyone, which is how we all got talking. LOVED the appetizers. try the avocado chaat!! it has the most creamy texture ever and just feels so light and refreshing. also the gobi manchuria literally had the best crunch ever and the flavor was super tangy with the perfect spice. only downside was that the appetizers were so incredible and i didn't feel like the main dishes lived up to my expectations. they were good, but felt like they lacked a strong flavor and the naan was kind of flat. service was good and the place was super cutely decorated. read more

This review is for the Sunday buffet only. Was really looking forward to this but came away very disappointed. I was expecting several Thai and Indochinese dishes but there were just one of each. A sweet honey fish dish (fair) and a flavorless Pad Thai which tasted like spaghetti without the sauce. The Indian dishes fared better. Tikka Masala was decent. The Saag Paneer was ok but lacked spice. Biggest letdown was the Tandoori chicken. I didn't see any breasts or thighs and it is usually served on a bed of onions which was missing here. More bones than meat and it tasted rather bland. Did not care for the small serving of rice pudding either. The Semolina pudding was a step up from that. Service was also lagging. Two people took our bread order but it never appeared along with a beverage that didn't show up. When we asked a third time it DID arrive and was the star of the meal. Excellent garlic naan. Possible that things will be better ordering from the menu but I'd skip the buffet. read more

I have added another star, since I left my last review I have re- visited and have found that they have made some changes to the menu and tweaked a few things, I did not dine in, but the take out that I had was very good and I can tell that the owners have tried very hard to make their restaurant a success. Food is absolutely awful. The momos were frozen and reheated. Definitely not made fresh. The paneer chili had no taste and paneer wasn't cully cooked. Chinese bhel isn't even Chinese bhel (you should google it since it lacked the noodles). The only saving grace is the service and grandeur of restaurant but will never return again due to the terrible food. I'd rather eat at Taco Bell or fast food and have some taste so it's worth the calories. read more

Very large Asian-Indian fusion restaurant with a decent variety of options and plentiful seating. They also have a private party area and outdoor seating if so desired. Their lunch specials were both filling and reasonably priced. The service was also efficient and we had our order ready within 10 minutes. Thought it was a great idea after a pleasant dish of snapper a few weeks ago an another newer restaurant, not! Delicious sauce but was well beyond done! Imagine fish jerky. We enjoyed our appetizer of lollipop chicken and Pepper guava cocktails. Wifey enjoyed her goat with medium spiciness. Garlic naan lack the garlic and ghee we are so use to at other restaurants. Service was excellent and we were questioned about our meals which I spoke bluntly about my fish (Dropped in oil and completely forgotten on a slow Saturday night). We are up in the air about returning. Good to see the old Goodfellas opened up again, which set vacant for a few years. Seating area was well laid out in the ambience was welcoming. An easy 5 star review. I tried the dal tadka, the yellow panang curry, the alo ghobi, and dal palak shorba soup. The dal palak shorba soup was phenomenal, perfectly spiced. The yellow Penang curry was one of the top Thai curries I've had and I've had many. And the dal tadka was in line with a very good dal tadka. Someone else tried the prawn balchoa and they thought the sauce was delicious although the prawns were a bit small. The final person had the Thai red curry with fish which they very much enjoyed. Beyond the foods being very good, we ordered 5 entrees, 3 appetizers, drinks, and the check came out to only 130 before tip. For the quality of the food and the amount ordered the prices were very reasonable which is a big plus. The staff was ultra friendly and helpful with any questions with the menu. Some of my family has already been back since this meal we had a week ago. This menu is really something special, unique, and exquisite. Featuring indo Chinese, Thai, and Indian cuisines. We went to this restaurant to try the Indian and Thai cuisine. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and the owners and staff where very attentive and informative on assisting us with our selections. I visited Jasmine in Galloway Township on Friday night and I am pleased to report that the hype is real. When a new restaurant opens and receives rave reviews, it usually piques my interest. This is especially true when I'm told they offer vegan options. So when my (non-vegan) friends suggested visiting Jasmine, I was all in! Located in the building that used to be Goodfellows, https://jasmineac.com/ offers what they describe as an "eclectic menu featuring Indian, Thai, Asian and Indo-Chinese inspirations". The expansive menu certainly reflects that description. If you remember Goodfellows, you'll be shocked at what an amazing renovation has been done. The interior no longer resembles the pub that once was and has been "leveled up" in more ways than one. We went on a Friday night and from the begin to the end, the dining experience was top notch. I arrived first and was promptly greeted and given my choice of tables. I reviewed the menu and told the waitress that I was looking for vegan options. She immediately made suggestions and when I asked questions, she went to the back to check with the chef (not once, but twice!). I appreciated her taking the time to make sure that the information she was providing was accurate and asking the chef if he could make a certain dish vegan (which he could and did). Later, when my friends were reviewing different options, Chef Rikhi Pandeya came out to our table and was kind enough to answer questions. The owners (two different men) also visited our table to make sure everything was to our liking. They were clearly watching over the dinner service to ensure things were running smoothly, which is very smart. During our leisurely dinner, the wait staff (no less than 3 different individuals, for our party of 4) was extremely attentive, even bringing out some gluten-free naan for us to sample, on the house. Although the naan wasn't vegan, I enjoyed the Gobhi Manchurian Bhajjia as starters and went with Dal Tadka (served with amazing, fluffy white rice) as my entree. BYOB and the wait staff will gladly open your bottle and serve you. I often say that I judge restaurants based on their bread and their bathrooms, and Jasmine gets an A+ for both. Every area was spotless. When we were packing up to go, the waiter not only helped to bag our containers, but gave me rice to go when he noticed that I didn't have any to go with my leftover dal. We shared dishes but $100 for a party of 4? That was a good deal! If they can maintain this level of service and attention to detail, I feel that Jasmine will truly live up to their goal of providing a "unique gastronomical experience with our tasty food, service and ambience". This site used to be the old Good Fellows restaurant. I am so glad a new restaurant has opened there. Jasmine, has great food. I tried things I have never had before, like the lotus root.
