I've played a lot of escape rooms, but Exit Game in the OC truly stands out for the care they put into every experience. Whether you're stepping into one of their family-friendly adventures or braving their horror-themed room, the theming is thoughtful, immersive and detailed in a way you don't always see with the bigger chains. You can tell that the owners genuinely love what they do - every set piece, puzzle, and story moment feels intentional. My group and I had the chance recently to play their "Help, I'm a Cat!" room and it was such a blast. What really sets them apart, though, is their customer service. The team is warm, patient, and incredibly attentive. They read their players well and tailor the experience to what each group needs, whether it's someone's very first escape room or a team of seasoned enthusiasts looking for a challenge. I fully trust them to take care of my nieces and nephews when they are old enough to get introduced to the escape room world. They make everyone feel welcome and set you up to have the best possible time. If you're looking to support a small business that delivers memorable experiences, thoughtful design, and exceptional hospitality, this is absolutely the place to go. Highly recommend!

We had a great time here. The host was a highlight. Very nice and very willing to answer a lot - I mean a lot of questions from our kiddos. It was really nice to have a room that was geared toward/ for kids to play too. I will definitely come back And play the other room.

Took my 10 and 11 year old daughter for their first escape room and we all had fun! No scares not too tense just the right amount of fun excitement!

Got to play "Meow, I'm a cat with my friends for international cat day! The room is such a flip from Exit Game's other room '13th Basement' (which is also amazing for scary movie lovers). I love the design of the room, Exit games never does wrong on designing. I love how kids and adults alike would enjoy playing this room. The puzzles still got us thinking, so don't underestimate it just because kids can be here. Got to talk to the owner, Jeremiah about tha rooms and is excited to see more in the future! Absolutely amazing time and hope to chat more

One of the best escape rooms hands down! The puzzles are extremely clever and well executed. The owners were really friendly and explained the rules in great detail. Will definitely be back. Spoiler - "Jesse" makes a guest appearance!

We have had the 13th basement room on our radar for a long time but it requires a minimum of three people. We recently started doing escape rooms with another couple so we finally did this room and it was definitely worth the wait. This is probably one of the biggest rooms we have done and there are all kinds of great puzzles that definitely require teamwork. I think this is the only room we have done where they actually let you take pictures inside the game, but obviously with the promise to not give anything away. There are some good scares but nothing extreme and there is a fun twist at the end. Luckily we didn't need too much help, but Abisai was a great game master. After we escaped, he gave us a whole walk-through of the game and answered all questions about it. Before and after the game we had some great conversation about various escape rooms in the area. They are working on some new rooms and we can't wait to return and try them. The 13th basement is definitely highly recommended!

Our group beat the escape room!

I wish I could do 6 stars. My dad's dying words this morning were "Leave a 5 star review for the escape game. We got a hell of a deal and the game was a banger." He really loved exit game & we had so much fun as a group. I'm recommending this place to anyone I can, Jeremiah was a great game master & it really felt like I was stuck inside a room with a killer. 11/10 I would go here again and even though I wasn't voted MVP for my group I still had fun.

    Us before starting the room.

What a fun experience. The room is a blast and the staff are amazing. Truly a fun room for anyone who has done an escape room or a person doing one for the first time.

I almost booked online but ended up calling because I had some specific questions, and she made it easy to book and pay over the phone. On the day we booked, Chad was our host and he was super energetic and brought all the right vibes. We had 8 people in our group and we did the Vendetta 80s room. Two people in our group hadn't done an escape room before, one person had done a few and most of us had only done one prior, so a fairly diverse group. Chad was great at explaining the rules and also giving the group a few tips and pointers. He also offered free water bottles to my team. The Vendetta room was really fun. As he described it, it was a little more old school in terms of puzzles, meaning not super techy like some other rooms can be. But the challenges were really fun, and in our opinion, pretty challenging! In this room you are in an old 80s store front, fighting the villain action figures to find and save the super hero's and good guys. Each of us kind of found our strengths in puzzle solving and we finished right on the dot, finding all 15 figures. Lots of old music, action figures, baseball cards, books, toys, legos, and laser beams. The magic 8 ball was the death of me, shake it really well!! But anyway, I digress My team had a great time and got to take some fun pictures at the end with 80s props. Chad even asked us if we wanted to take a sneak peek of the Olympus room afterward. It looked super cool and was definitely different than Vendetta, a lot more tech, and we may be back for a future outing to try it out! Definitely recommend this gem for a team bonding experience, or even just a group of friends that want something new and fun to do. Chad also explained the history behind escape rooms a bit, and it was interesting to know that this was the first escape room in anaheim, and one of the first 10 in the US. It made me appreciate it even more knowing we were supporting a small business that's been around for a while. Thank you again for being a great host, Chad! We went with a group of 7 and felt it was a good amount of people given the amount of puzzles to go through. My group really enjoyed the theme and puzzles - definitely one of the harder escape rooms we've done honestly! Puzzles aren't too linear, multiple people can work on different things at the same time which was really nice to have so everyone had something they could do. Theme was on point and all the props/environment were very nice. There were a few things that were falling apart but we ended up telling our GM about it. Our GM was great! I think her name was Katie? She helped us out when we screamed for her and having unlimited hints was a great help. We really liked that the hints were displayed on the screen with the timer rather than having to hear it via speakers. It was SUPER helpful because we could read it at our own pace and also look back at it when we're in a different room. The only downside I'd say is that there was only 1 TV screen in the entire escape room so we did have to run back and forth a few times to re-read the hint. The hint didn't really leave the screen until we were either done with the puzzle or got a new hint, so it was really nice! Overall we had a great experience and barely escaped with like ~5 minutes left! It was a pretty tough one - some puzzles were more straightforward but others were a pretty tough. I did like the concepts of some puzzles and found it unique compared to what I've encountered in other escape rooms. 10/10 recommend! Definitely coming back to try out their other rooms.

Every time we come to the Escape Game and try a new room, we are blown away by the tech they use. It's not-your-average mom & pop escape room, and for that reason we LOVE it. It operates with a first-come reservation basis, but each room has a max of 8-12 players. This means that you can bring your whole group in, and there's a chance you might have some strangers joining you as well if there's still space. We tend to wait last minute and book the rooms with no reservations yet so we can try to do them on our own. This time, our game keepers Ally and Marcy were so sweet and helpful. Can't recommend her enough! We will keep coming back!

These are public escape room games meaning you and anyone out there can sign up for the SAME room for the SAME time/date. Most rooms here fit up to 8 people which would be perfect if you had a large friend group. BUT if you only had 2-4 people and sign up ahead of time, be prepared to enter the room with new faces. Games start pretty on time, so make sure to be there with waivers signed! Also, they occasionally offer 20% off your next game once you escape the first! These games lean more on the tech side utilizing digital screens, electronic doors/buttons, lights, and puzzles - all of which I love! It adds more flavor to the game, while still providing the traditional puzzles feel with some rooms having locks, ropes, and mind-tingling puzzles. I would venture to say I like having more physical handheld clues like papers or props for decoding, but this place does get the job done. Some of the puzzles even require you to work simultaneously with your escape room team which creates more thrill! I have had friends that have gone here to the same rooms I have done where the rooms are slightly changed depending on the amount of people in the room or if the tech is broken - so just be aware that your experience could be different than others. For the price of about $42 a person you can't go wrong since there are multiple options that vary in difficulty from 3/10 to 9/10. Overall would recommend especially for a quick fun nigh

Almost all of Escapade Games' rooms have a horror element and are obviously targeted towards the colleges nearby, but not only was Rockin' adapted to accommodate parties of two; for this season, it was themed to fit the holidays. We also got a very pleasant surprise when it came time to pay for our online reservation: it was half the price of a standard room for a party of 8! This was a (happy) shock because we are used to paying for 3 or 4, even though we are a duo. The 2025 Pineapple Express had slowed to a steady trickle by the time we arrived at Escapade Games Christmas Eve after a music-less British pub lunch less than a two-minute drive away. The cavernous restrooms, located outside the lobby, were clean, and the lobby looked like it was in the midst of some renovation, but another game was going on, and since we already filled out our waivers, we settled down to wait for our game to start. And waited. And waited. And waited. When we finally started our hour-long game, after the technical difficulties were resolved and the game rules reminders given, all was forgiven very fast: as a bonus to playing a game that was getting ready to be put out of commission, we could take unlimited photos in the room! And there was so much to do in the music-themed room: even though not all the instruments were playable, and there were still minor glitches as we were playing, Joey was a terrific game host - he, too, made a quick recovery from the technical issues and was as determined as we were to have a phenomenal game. There was no timer in the room, but going by our photos, we were done in 52:48, with a lot of help. Our favourite puzzles had to do with the picks and bands, and playing the instruments to rise back up to the top of the pops as rockstars is such an original theme. The music played put us in the holiday mood - especially "The 12 Days of Christmas". That's probably not our favourite Christmas song, but it helped that I just got done with Susan Stokes-Chapman's holiday short story collection! Rockin' around the Christmas Tree is set to what we consider 3-G (Generation 3, with a lot of computer FX elements) tasks with G-1 locks, and, despite the late start, was very much the best Christmas present to set us off on our holidays! Joey, our heroic gamemaster, was a huge part of the fun game we had. We could tell he had started off not having such a good Christmas because the room's serious technical issues were clearly unexpected, but he fixed everything so that we could have a great time. We eventually realized the fantastic price we paid was not just because our game, unlike other Escapade rooms, did not feature a live actor in the room. Even more importantly, we only found out, after our game, that the room was being taken down to make way for a three-room movie-based horror adventure. We are so, so glad that we got to experience Rockin' around the Christmas Tree before it was dismantled, and keep our fingers crossed it gets a spectacular comeback in the near future (like the rockstars we were supposed to be!) That said, we are looking forward to checking out anything else Escapade Games has to offer - can't wait for more games in 2026! This review is duplicated on Yelp and Google.
