I have never used a cleaning service before and wasn't sure what to expect. I generally deep clean my apartment by myself every few months and am pretty fastidious, so I was hesitant to use a service (thinking it wouldn't be as good me as trying to do it myself). I was so, so wrong. My apartment is actually spotless and immaculate, and they cleaned in spaces I wasn't even expecting. Like, they removed my dozens of magnets from the front of my refrigerator to clean it, and then put them all back up and arranged them so beautifully. I had also let them know in advance that they didn't need to worry about my master bedroom--I had piles of clothing everywhere and was so ashamed of it--and they cleaned it anyway, going so far as to even nicely fold all of my piled up clothing and arrange my shoes. It is literally so clean that I want to cry. And, all of this attention and care and cleanliness for an extremely reasonable price (I got different quotes from a few other places and this was by far the best). 100% would recommend Maids to Help if you're in Chicago and want to enjoy a clean home. I'm told one of them got into a minor car accident, but obviously I don't know if that's the case. I'm inclined to believe them though-no reason not to. Aside from that, the job they did was okay, but I wasn't that impressed. There was a lot that they missed. For example: The counter tops? Clean. The *side* of the counter tops? Not at all. Nor the cabinets, or the outside of the oven. They also pretty much skipped the bathtub save for a quick surface cleaning. If they cleaned the glass doors to the tub/shower, it was not at all obvious. They looked just as dirty as we left them-and I'd actually cleaned them a few days prior. Of course because my boyfriend had to leave and I was out getting my hair done for my birthday, we didn't get to see where they put some of our stuff. I can't find our cat brush at all and my cats are sorely in need of a good brushing. The worst thing of all? Tonight I found out that these "professionals" put my cupcake holder and a few other pots in our oven. Needless to say, the plastic part of it melted and the $24 I spent on it went down the drain. I just can't understand why people who consider themselves professional cleaners would ever leave things in the oven. With the mess they cleaned up, it was pretty obvious we use it. I've been pretty busy lately, so I haven't cooked-which is why it took me this long to notice they put stuff in the oven. I plan to call them tomorrow about getting them to replace the ruined item. Hopefully they will without issue. So yes. I am angry. It was not done to satisfaction for $120. Things looked relatively clean from far away, but when you got closer, you could see that it wasn't as clean as it looked. I don't know if I'll ever find half the stuff they moved. I forgot to add before: They do offer (looks like this is new) 24 hours in which to call and have them fix anything not done right/well, which I appreciated. Only with my family coming into town and what not, it wasn't possible for me to be around for a second cleaning, and honestly, I would've needed to be. There wasn't much of a point to calling and not being around to make sure it was done right (or at all, in some cases) the second time around.

My place was larger than some other 1 Bedrooms, and I left the kitchen fridge and stove in a bit of a mess, so the extra cost ($110.00) was not unexpected. What WAS unexpected was how GREAT a job they did! The place looked spotless, and my landlord was pleased. I can expect a full return of my deposit as a result, and I would highly reccomend this organization for either move-in / move-out or regular services.

What vendor do you know at any establishment that can not reverse a charge especially if it was not authorized. The cleaning includes dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, moping, dish cleaning, as well as laundry folding. They also take out the garbage, straighten out the furniture, and change bedding sheets and blankets. The cleaning appointments always go very well. I always feel comfortable having them and their employees in my home. The ladies arrive on time and do an excellent job of cleaning my home. The ladies take good care of my cleaning equipment and do not waste cleaning supplies. My home always ends up very clean and I am always happy with the results.
