So, it's Saturday morning and I have been up moving furniture since 7:00am so the carpet cleaners could do their thing at my scheduled 8:00am appointment. Well...it is well after 9am and I am writing a Yelp review rather than enjoying clean carpets. You know, I can't imagine showing up more than an hour late for work...yet, I'm feeling forced to tolerate this behavior from someone I'm paying. Uggh. Seriously? Three phone calls to them and each time...they are "on their way." Clearly, I was their first appointment of the day so the only possible excuse these guys have is they didn't get their butt out of bed like I did. So, they finally show about 9:25. Fortunately, the guy was quite nice who cleaned my carpets. He spent about 3 hours cleaning two bedrooms and some stairs. The bedrooms look fine, the stairs are not that improved. The good thing is that my house does not smell like toxic chemicals. I would have given them 3 1/2 stars if they had not messed up my entire schedule for the day. read more

I woke up yesterday morning to a putrid smell in our hallway--turns out my neighbor had accidently dropped a gallon of milk in the hallway and with the heat that day--well you can guess.... I called Danni at Pure Green and he was able to come this morning. He shows up with a smile and a beautiful flowering potted plant! We have two entryways with 4 floors of stairs and figured, as long as he was coming, clean everything. He and his assistant worked diligently on the milk stain, as well as, a few big salt stains from winter. It looks great so far and at this point I cannot smell any rotten milk. The cleaning solution smell is not at all overpowering. I have had a few companies clean the hallway and the chemical smell has lasted for days--not here! Price was definitely comparable to other companies and they are using greener products. To top it all off, he is willing to come back if the milk or the salt stains resurface. I had a spot that was caused by a laundry detergent bottle hitting the ground and subsequently, dirt took over on top of where the soap spilled and created a huge eyesore in the hallway to our master bedroom. My husband was out of town and I wanted to surprise him when he got home to the spot being gone. So I got on Yelp... Now take in mind this is a Saturday and I'm wanting someone to come the next day. Danni was very eager to make my wish come true. He said there was a minimum of $90 charge to start but with the mention of Yelp, I got it for 15% off. He arrives with a great big smile and a little flower pot in his hand. Nice touch, Danni. He got his equipment out and began the pre-treatment on my eyesore. It faded almost instantly. I asked him if he would do the rest of the carpeted area and he was very nice about it, and included it in the quoted price. I was curious as to what goes into carpet cleaning so I asked him if it was OK if I watch him work. He didn't mind. We chatted about all kinds of things and the fact that my dog wouldn't stop barking at him, the intruder. He really is a nice guy and very friendly. When he was finished, my eyesore was gone and I was a happy, satisfied customer. The carpet was dry within 4 hours, which I was very impressed with that! The only thing was the smell of the carpet cleaning solution -- while I didn't really notice it at first, after a while it was a little overwhelming while it was drying. While not a bad smell, it had a presence and I had to open a window to air out our condo. Once dry, the smell was gone. I will say that when my husband came home he was very impressed that the eyesore was gone and it was so cheap to do! I was pleased with my neighbors' reviews of Pure Green Cleaning so I hired them last week to clean two rugs that an old cat has begun to use as pee pads. The technician who came truly could not have been nicer and did the best he could with their cleaning supplies and equipment. Unfortunately, the smell is still in both rugs and the cat took back to the one that's larger and under a bed so I haven't been able to take it up. Yesterday I took the other rug to Pridjian who has done an amazing job getting cat pee out of rugs for me in the past. I took three additional rugs for cleaning to Pridjian and the price for all four rugs, including extra cleaning/enzyming is the same as I paid for two from Pure Green. I try to support local businesses whenever possible but this time it didn't work out for me. read more

Reasonably priced and the carpets STAY CLEAN! I've used other carpet cleaners before and the carpets looked the same a couple of weeks later. Confused by some of the bad reviews here, cause my experience was basically flawless. They were responsive when I set up the appointment, which is the cleaning field isn't always the case. The day of the appointment they showed up exactly on time and started to get to work. They finished the project in just over an hour and I am very pleased. Not only did they do great work, but they were two really nice guys who were easy to work with. They even used those shoe covers when they came into my place. I bought a certificate from Amazon Local because I wanted to try a new service for carpet cleaning. I called for service on a Monday and Pure Green was at my house on a Wednesday at 8:00 am. Off the bat I liked them because they did not bring large hoses in the house and have to leave the door open for 3 hours while they cleaned. I wish I could give negative stars - DO NOT USE MITCH WAVELAND!!! I have asthma and wanted to get my carpets cleaned without toxic chemicals and no scents/smells. I was led to believe this was steam cleaning and when I found out it was hot water when he showed up I was going to cancel, but Mitch convinced me that the green cleaning solution cannot be used with high temps. I gave the guy a chance and it's the WORST DECISION I'VE EVER MADE!!!! It took him 5 or 6 hours to clean 2 rooms. Most carpet guys are out in 1 hour max. The portable machine he was using looked dirty and it smelled like wet dog. The carpets were sopping wet when he was done and I told him he can't leave it that way. He went over it again but it still was really wet. He took one of my bath towels and was walking on it to soak up the extra water - RIDICULOUS! Who does that? I took a clean white towel and did the same thing and the wet spots on it were full of dirt! I showed it to him and he got all upset and explained to me that the chemicals will encapsulate it and when I vacuum it, it will come out. Ummm, isn't that what cleaning the carpet is supposed to do? At this point I just wanted him gone. I put fans all over and that evening, when I closed all the windows and doors to go to bed my asthma went nuts and I couldn't breathe and my lungs were hurting. I moved my bed next to the open windows to try and sleep but that didn't happen. It then smelled like wet dog everywhere and there was a weird perfume-like scent in certain areas. I had to stay at my mom's house all week until I could get another cleaner in there to fix this. THIS HAS BEEN HELL!!!!! I chose Green Cleaning to avoid having breathing problems & this has been a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Also, he never put my furniture on the paper risers on the wet carpet. DO NOT USE MITCH WAVELAND, you will regret it!!!!!! 7/12 UPDATE - received a call from Mitch within a minute after posting this review asking me to take it down immediately & in return he will refund the money for the bad job he did and pay for the 2nd carpet cleaning to fix the mess he left. I said I will take this review down when I get the refund. He said I would see a check in the mail by 7/9 or 7/10 and it is NOT HERE (he could've driven it over or wired the money immediately). The 2nd carpet cleaners did a great job (Jeremy from www.hitekprofessionalcarpetcare.com) but Mitch soaked the carpet & padding SO MUCH & FOR SO LONG that the padding is still smelly & will need another treatment just for the padding. SO THE HELL CONTINUES - I REPEAT DO NOT USE MITCH!!! PS The white towels that were used to soak up the extra water are now ruined. Even after washing them several times with bleach, the dirt stains didn't come out. 7/13 Update - So I emailed MITCH WAVELAND asking where the refund he promised is and nothing... fell off the face of the earth. He assured me on his honor that he will make things right just like he assured me my carpets would feel like a breath of fresh air when he's done cleaning. I see the review from 7/13/18 about Danny and wonder why I didn't get Danny and if Danny even exists & if that review is fake to counteract my review. They did a great job on my carpets, and I have cats! First, they vacuum everything; then, they use the carpet treatment. It takes a little while to dry (it took about 12 hours, I think, but our windows weren't open the whole time). About one week later, I noticed a few remaining spots. When I called Danni, he promptly returned and treated those, too. Great results, excellent customer service. I don't think they're much pricier than the non-green cleaners, either. read more

My landlords have understandably had other priorities than cleaning the carpet in my apartment, which they used to do as part of an annual cleaning of their place and mine--so for a few years the thing continued to accumulate dust and grime and cat hair. Then they let me take matters into my own hands and hire this company. The rug looks great, and apparently I have been maligning it (it's a rather dull, beige thing), because the charming and knowledgeable cleaner said it's in good shape for its age and is of better overall quality than the newer ones, including being more eco-friendly. I trusted the guy so much that I accepted a dinner invitation from a friend and left him alone with my beloved cat for an hour, thus giving him more space to maneuver in. He and the cat enjoyed each other, the rug looks great (or as great as something like what I just described can ever look; it's hardly an Axminster), and the whole operation was reasonably priced. read more

I discovered Pure Green Cleaning by accident via an Amazon Deal. What a happy accident this turned out to be. The Pure Green Cleaning team did an exceptional job. Our carpeting was not only cleaned with a wonderful smelling combination of organic materials-- Danny and his crew attacked a stubborn stain on our steps and made our carpeting look and smell like new. Once our carpeting dried I had no worries allowing our little twins to crawl and play around on our floors. I've used a few carpet cleaning companies over the years and this is one of the few that I know of that has added a safe and organic process to carpet cleaning. This is my first time using Pure Green (a switch from Stanley Steemer, who I was never very happy with) and I have to say, I think they were terrific. The gentleman who came to my house Dan, was so incredibly friendly and he worked his butt off while he was here. He answered all of my questions and stayed as long as he needed to finish the job. The carpets look so much better than anything Stanley has ever done and he really worked to get the dog hair that intertwined itself in my carpeting. Before using Danny and Pure Green Cleaning, I tried 2 different carpet cleaning services that I did not like. Danny and his crew came in the first time and really did an amazing job. I have a 3 floor townhouse, lots of stairs, 2 dogs and for years the carpet had not been cleaned. Certain areas, the previous carpet cleaners were not able to get out but, Danny and Pure Green got all the major trouble areas looking like nothing ever happened there. i've never had better or more courteous service than i had with danni at pure green cleaning...hands down! i have an 8x10 area rug that was a floor sample at c&b. i bought it several years ago, wear, tear and all and placed it in my living room. that's when i saw that its condition was grimier than i thought. not to be outdone, one of my dogs had a seriously disgusting accident on it the very next day. i cleaned the stain as well as i could, but afraid it would cost me plenty to have the whole thing professionally cleaned, i rolled it up and left it on my back porch. well, danni to the rescue! i really miss a warm, wool rug under my feet in the winter, so i decided to stop being silly and send him an email. danni answered all the questions i had about cleaning wool rugs (meaning that he's also quite patient); dropped by one morning to pick up what i thought was a hopeless case; then brought it back to me 2 days later...as good as new. They did so much damage to our house in their visit to "clean"our furniture. I don't think they are good buisness people or cleaners. Their response to the damage they caused to our home was very poor. Danni tried to underplay its importance and Marri admited it was unacceptable but then back tracked. The bottom line, they didn't offer to pay for the damage to our fabric or our walls. They also left a huge mess which took two hours to clean. The floors and walls were very dirty. read more

I was not able to request an estimate through the online form, but when I called I was able to schedule an appointment for the next morning. Dan called ahead, was prompt and is a very pleasant guy. He got right to work and was done cleaning our vintage sofa within an hour, and for about $50 less than I was quoted by another shop. I was happy to patronize a Hyde Park neighbor, and after meeting Dan and seeing his work, I'd recommend him to anyone. We have used Danni a half dozen times now and he is our hero! We used him many times to restore the carpets after our elderly cat's many accidents, and they look (and smell) good as new. Most recently, our sick child had a middle of the night accident in his bed and all of our cleanings failed to get rid of the odor. Danni came immediately and cleaned it -- he told me that sometimes second cleanings are needed to really get rid of "organic matter" as he delicately put it. He came back again for no extra charge. I had a very positive experience with this company. Dan cleaned our rugs, carpet and living room furniture. We have two cats which definitely posed a challenge in terms of cleaning the carpets and rugs. However, Dan did a very thorough job staying as long as needed until the carpets rinsed cleaned with no remaining cat hair present.
