Good rugs are a family investment. They deserve to be cleaned expertly by a quality firm. After some research I discovered Pridjian & Company. Gave them two of our best rugs for a cleaning - their first in probably eight years. Picked them up a week or so later. They were as good as new! A couple animal stains were removed - front AND back! And they had no cleaning solution smell. We couldn't be happier. More rugs going to them in the future. We have some larger rugs that will be cleaned by them now. They offer pickup and delivery service for a nominal charge, so don't need to strap them to the roof of my SUV! Kudos! read more

KA Pridjian has cleaned my antique Persian and Afghanistan carpets a couple of times over the past 15 years and I am always amazed by how beautiful they are when I lay them back down!! I like the owner, friendly and talkative enough. I was warned their prices are high but it was a family owned business so I persisted. I like my carpet. When they laid carpet I complained on site it was not straight. They fixed. I got carpet and a year later it comes up on the stairs. The previous carpet has been there over 15 here with no problem. Moving to Chicago's Beverly neighborhood six years ago and not knowing the resources here, our neighbors highly recommended Pridjians and we have not been disappointed! Recently when it came time to install new runners on two staircases and have several custom sized rugs made, we were confident that Pridjian could handle the job with ease and finess. I thought my handmade Turkish carpet was ruined when I discovered dye stains on my hardwood floors. It had been rolled up to protect it from our aged, incontinent cat. She had managed to get on it and urinate, possibly repeatedly and some of the dye had transferred. I don't know how long it had been sitting like that, but it reeked. I took it to K.A.Pridjian & Co. and hoped for the best. Tom P. showed me around, pointing out all the machines and explaining the multistage process to clean delicate carpets. He assured me they would take the utmost care guarding against color bleeding. Another problem was that one end had wool strands which were unraveling (possibly from the vacuum cleaner). They would be able to fix that as well. Just picked up my carpet and am happy to say the smell is gone and the beautiful, vibrant colors remain intact. It was also beautifully mended. We have a Chinese oriental carpet that was damaged by a leaking potted plant, with a large square in a corner disintegrated. Because it was passed down from family we hoped to be able to repair it sufficiently to be able to use it in our living room. We got a call from the folks at Pridjian to discuss options, so we drove to the store and met with Tom the owner and one of the ladies who lovingly restores carpets like ours. We didn't have any options for a totally complete repair, but what they were able to accomplish was pure artistry. By matching carpet remnants similar enough in color and texture the rug is whole again and proudly displaying it in our living room. My family and I have used KA Pridjian & Co for many years to clean our Persian rugs and fix them up when some threads may have come loose. The rugs always come back looking like they were brand new and the if there were any faults in the rug, they were fixed. As long as this place is around there is no other place I would ever send my carpets to get cleaned. Knowing this, my wife and I, just had a major project done in our basement and we decided we wanted half of it carpeted. The first place we thought to go to was KA Pridjian & Co (which is over an hour drive) just knowing the quality they did on cleaning our other rugs. Well from the start, Tom and the rest of the employees there were very courteous and helpful. They took hours (because of the questions my wife and I had, not them being slow) describing the benefits and cons of all the different type of carpets and trying to help pick out the best brand, type and color for our planned basement. After all this we set-up an appointment for Tom to come to our house and take measurements. When he got there he was very meticulous about getting all the details down for the carpet and how we wanted it to look. Tom then called us later that afternoon with a quote and it was very competitive to the 2 others we had gotten from local carpet stores, who also didn't seem as helpful or friendly. Well they came and installed the carpet yesterday and all my wife and I keep saying is how beautiful it looks and feels. The installation was quick and went without a hitch. I was looking for a rug company to clean a very old and fragile runner that's been in our family for 4 generations. It was very dirty and had several tears and worn areas. I decided to try Pridjian because they would clean my rug by hand without using anything other than a mild brush and lots of elbow grease. Tom, the owner was very knowledgeable - he knew about the history of my type of rug and made good suggestions on how to repair it. This project was a surprise gift to my husband for Christmas so I was really hoping for success. The finished product was AMAZING! We couldn't believe how beautiful that rug could be and the repair work was impeccable. The rugs look amazing and after I watched videos on the cleaning process I cannot complain about the price. What really struck us as great was the customer service. They picked-up and delivered our carpets, and checked with us a couple of times on some of the repair issues.
