When asking friends for a place to get a piercing, every single person said Evolved. After my experience today, I can see why!! I scheduled an appointment to get my flat pierced instead of doing a walk-in. I'm so glad I did because they were very busy! I probably would have been waiting for a while had it not been for the appointment. I was greeted upon arrival and was asked to fill out a form before selecting jewelry. The person assisting me asked for my preferred pronouns, which I thought was nice! She then showed me the gem options and was extremely helpful! She discussed the shape of my ear, size of gem, price, and other important details to take into consideration. After choosing a piece, I waited until an artist was available. It couldn't have been longer than 10 minutes before being brought into a room. I met the artist and then talked about the placement of the gem. Because my ear shape is a little odd, he marked a couple of points so that I could choose the one I liked best. The actual piercing lasts seconds and feels like a strong pinch. Easy peasy. Afterwards, he told me about aftercare and took photos for his portfolio. He did awesome and I'm so pleased with my experience!! I purchased the saline spray, checked out, and was on my way home! Evolved has been a Columbus staple for tattoos and piercings and they now have multiple locations across the campus area. I got my original nostril piercing there almost a decade ago and more recently got some new jewelry that I'm super excited about. More importantly today I got a new tattoo and a free birthday piercing! Which was a fun surprise! So I have always opted to get my tattoos in Yellow Springs at the Red Dragon but this particular time I was was looking for a more detailed design and did not want to drag my friends and family along for the ride. Because Evolved has such a good reputation, I felt comfortable choosing them with this decision. It was very easy to complete the forms online and sign up for an appointment online for a $50 fee that comes off of my total. The only issue I had was that my appointment wasn't saved for whatever reason and Paul didn't have any of the info I had submitted. I had confirmation emails and correspondence from both Bryan and someone named Jillian so it's a little strange that Paul didn't get any of my pictures or information but I was grateful he was there and still able to do the tattoo but I had to wait for him to draw up the design which delayed about 35-40 minutes to start. Having said that he was fast and I was still out in faster than I thought I would be and even got a tragus piercing. All in all I would recommend Evolved for jewelry, piercings, and tattoos for the finished product alone! The staff seems very friendly too! read more

Thinking back, I've been getting piercings (and two tattoos) at evolved for the last 15 years. Yes, that makes me feel ancient. Service here is usually amazing. There have been times, years and years ago, where I wasn't pleased with my experience but those employees are no longer there and I've great experiences since then. I decided to stop by for the buy one get one free Thursday, I used to have my nose double pierced and randomly decided I missed it and wanted it done again. Even though there were several people in the lobby, I was greeted and helped right away. My jewelry options were explained and I got my paperwork squared away in no time. I barely had a wait at all before I was taken back, and the whole experience was quick and relatively painless. I got to approve the placement, and the piercings were done quickly with no fuss. Aftercare was explained before I paid, and really I was probably only in the building 30 minutes tops. So now I have a blingy nose and a pleasant experience to type up. I've been recommending Evolved for years now and will most definitely continue to do so. read more

This place is a joke, a big rip off with half decent artists, I loved this place because it was special and I got my first tattoo there, it seemed off at first that the shading didn't look right, I emailed them a month after September of 2020, they told me that was normal and just wait, we'll I've waited over a year. I would give this negative stars if I could. So my experience started about a year ago. When I made a multiple appointments with am artist named Stacy. She was going to do a chest piece to cover some scars on my chest. As a transgender person this was one the most important days I have waited for. Stacy also promised a FREE cover up on my back. The might before my chest tattoo she messaged me up long story short called me Hyper masculine and said she couldn't work with me so canceled my appts. This was via Instagram. Suppose to be done before 9/19/2020 as I was getting married. She apologized and told me someone from different shop may be better to work with. Roll out a couple of months. I contacted Andy the owner of Evolved. After a few months of communication and his word that this would be done He had me come in to the shop and meet Brett had photos taken. When I mention setting an end date after almost a year of this. Andy then tells me I was promised nothing and he canceled. So I told him I would be writing this review and posting the pics of the emails and messages. I have never been treated so poorly. I will be taking legal actions for what they have done. read more

The women working the sign-in were incredibly kind and patient. The artist I was signed up to be tattooed by felt that he couldn't do my custom art justice, so he gave me to an artist that specialized in fine line. After my Gorgeous tattoo was finished, my 7 year old daughter came in for her first ear lobe piercing. These wonderful humans treated her with the most tender and loving care. They did both ears at the same time to minimize trauma and she didn't even tear up. The girl that checked my daughter in made sure to check in her after and ask to see them. Simply amazing experience at Evolved. My 8 year old had their ears pierced at another facility and two months out had never healed and was having what seemed to be allergic reactions to all the "nickel-free, hypoallergenic" earrings we tried. I took them to Evolved to purchase titanium earrings and have them placed. The staff at Evolved from the check-in person to the piercer made my child feel so comfortable, included them in every step of the process, and graciously stuck with them when my child was crying and having a super hard time having the earrings placed because their ears were so irritated. Multiple staff checked up on my child and made them feel special and cared for through the whole process. And two weeks out, my child's ears are almost completely healed and I am soooooo thankful for Evolved, their amazing titanium jewelry selection, their expertise, and most of all their professional caring staff. Just like the other location, they were very professional and helpful. Went in to replace some jewelry and get my left conch pierced. Wound up getting TWO piercings done by Jessica.
