Recently needed my ear piercing removed in a hurry to have an MRI. I'm not sure if they over charged because of my situation or if their fees are really that crazy. They charged me $60 to remove 3 upper ear piercing ($20 each) - took like 3 minutes. OVER PRICED!!!! Other shops in town only charge $5 per piece to swap out. The service is extremely helpful especially when you don't know how it all works or what type of piercing you wish to get. They have all types to choose from and will even help put it in for you. I've been to other shops and to be honest most of them are a dive. But not Body Jewel. It's an extremely clean and neatly ordered shop. read more

I've been to Body Jewel a few times and I agree with the previous reviewer who equated it to a mall kiosk. It's fine but doesn't feel super professional. Went in on a random Sunday getting a helix with my friend. Walked out bleeding and eventually infected, with multiple people & websites saying they shouldnt have put a hoop in for a helix. overall not a good experience and the workers were quite young. I've been to multiple piercing shops before and this one was honestly horrible. On Saturday evening I chose my nose stud through a selection in a case and after settling for a nose stud the piercer chose not to mention that the stud would completely stick out of both sides of my nose. The piercer was generally dismissive and explained that the post(bar) of the piercing was longer for the swelling. I have a relatively skinny nose so this extra long post causes the post stick out of my nostril as well as stick out of the top of my nose. After mentioning this issue after getting pierced, she said i can come back and get a smaller one after a month or two. I understand you have to get a stud that allows swelling, but this is an excessively long post that should of been considered by the piercer. I was not offered any refund for the jewelry or suggestions after kindly expressing my lack of satisfaction with the piercing and had to buy another hoop to replace it myself. Have to give 1 star for the highly concerning piercing practices I witnessed while buying a nose ring today. I would equate this place to a store version of a body jewelry kiosk that you'd find at a mall. Will I buy jewelry here? Sure. Would I ever consider getting pierced here? Absolutely not. Jewelry selection is expansive and has lots of price ranges. Be warned that they finger the jewelry with no gloves and don't sterilize it before selling though. Will be back for cheap jewelry. Would not recommend if you are wanting high-end or sterilized jewelry. During the 15 minutes I was in here buying jewelry (literally 15 minutes), the same 1 girl pierced 3 different people's nostrils. I know this because they kept the piercing room door open while doing the piercings and i was literally able to watch 3 people get pierced in 15 minutes. The first person was in and out of the piercing room within 3-5 minutes and when he walked out after being pierced (without a mask on, mind you) he had to ask the front desk girl for a tissue because he was booted from the room before his nose could even stop bleeding/running. At which point the front desk girl told him to hold on for a minute while she was assisting me with jewelry selection. There is NO WAY this place is following COVID or any other kind of safety/sanitization protocols if they are sending freshly pierced people to the front desk without a mask on and with a running, freshly pierced nose. There is also NO WAY that the piercer was able to sanitize the room, measure placement appropriately, and use proper piercing safety in between piercings with how quickly she was moving people through. As somebody with many professional piercings, I am highly concerned (understatement) about the piercings I witnessed today. I truly wish I was exaggerating. I am not. Stay away. So I went to body jewel for the first time and It is definitely my new fave! I got my tongue done by a lady with beautiful blue hair she was sooo nice and gentle she is awsome at what she does! And the lady at the desk was awaome to she chatted with me the whole time I was waiting for my turn I will be recommending them to others! The staff are very rude when it comes to the color of ones skin. Fortunately if your Caucasian you get a nice greeting and a wonderful experience. I came here to have a piercing reopened after several years of removing my ring. The girl at the front desk was very knowledgeable and super nice. I like the variety of rings/bars and the prices are reasonable. The reason for the 2-stars is that the girl who actually re-pierced by nose was so rude and literally came in the ring and shoved the needle in my nose without warning or anything. She didn't speak nor did she introduce herself. When she was done, I was yelling for fear life and she looked at me and walked out the room. I wanted to slap the sh*t out of her but was so traumatized that I looked in the mirror and walked out. I don't know the lady's name but she has short hair with glasses. She should NEVER be allowed to pierce real human beings or work around people because she's definitely not a 'people person'. I won't be returning and definitely won't be referring people I know to this place. the absolute WORST customer service I have ever had. We tried to schedule an appointment and called not once but twice! My daughter wanted her nose pierced. While in line we called for the 2nd time to be told again it was walk in only at that point! We stood in line for over an hour and got to the front of the line only to be told "sorry" they were no longer taking anyone else! This was an hour before they closed.. I will NOT GO BACK! I like body jewel due to how affordable it is and being able to walk in to get a piercing in a reasonable amount of time. i've been twice so far, and both times i saw they sterilized tools before and after each use, washed hand well before piercing, and overall friendly. I will say that due to a high volume of people wanting to get piercings all at once, it can be a little hard to get seen quickly. but that's to be expected. for an affordable walk-in piercing shop, i'd definitely recommend to someone wanting to get something done! read more

Brought in my 7-year-old to have her ears pierced today. Lots of jewelry options so my daughter picked out just what she wanted. The piercer took her time and made sure everyone was happy with the placement. She made my daughter feel comfortable, talking her through each step of the process. My daughter is proud of her bravery and loves her new pierced ears! Absolutely horrible. I went to get 4 SMALL pieces of jewelry today. one half inch barbell for my bridge, one nose stud, and two lip studs. They tried to charge me $156!!!!! I canceled the two lip studs, and the price dropped to $65... for TWO SMALL pieces of jewelry???? Ridiculous. To make matters worse, she sold me a gauge too big for my bridge piercing. When I went to bring it in and let them know, they tried telling me that there was nothing I could do about it, and that I had to pay for another item. I demanded that they give me the right jewelry, and they did. Then, finally.. I asked the woman at the desk to give me the same exact nose stud I had in my left side and she gave me something that was a different size AND color. They would not replace it. It's ridiculous. I will never go back to this place. The other thing, is that when they pierced my nose a few weeks ago, it was $90...!! Save your money, and your time. Go to a tattoo shop that does piercings. super friendly, but pierced through my septum CARTILAGE. didn't go all the way through the first time so she dug around for 5 minutes trying to push it through. septums are supposed to be easier than ear piercings and it was the worst pain out of 6 other body piercings and my tattoos. also had me pay and tip before i went back to the room, so there was no getting that back. read more

I have used body jewel for several piercing in the past few years, I went to this location because it's closer to home. My mother, sister and I have been in this place twice now to get piercings, the second only because we thought the first time was a fluke. But alas, the piercer was just as un-professional and rude as the first time we went in. She has refused services, given us dirty looks and sarcastic comments and is very judgmental. Keeping in mind, we have been very respectful and kind both times we've went in. I don't feel comfortable allowing someone as rude as she is to potential clients to pierce me or anyone at all. I will not be back. The only reason this place has not gotten 1 star from me was because the woman working at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Needless to say, I would recommend the body jewel in Tuttle mall or somewhere else to take care of your piercing needs. read more
