If I'm being honest, my request was full on stanning, but I just really wanted Luka to know that I thought their work was beautiful and hoped we could work together. I would go back Pretty standard shop. Prices are pretty much the norm, jewelry can be a little pricey depending on what you're looking for. The guys in the shop were super cool, very friendly and personable. Sandroni was the one that did my tragus piercing. He was very knowledgeable, definitely knew what he was doing. Explained all of the dos and don't, as well as the whole process of the piercing. I have to say, out of all of my piercings, this one did not hurt and wasn't even red or swollen right after and even throughout the healing process. He did a great job! Evolved was such a great experience! I got two piercings on a Tuesday because they had a 2 for 1 special. I got an industrial and a cartilage piercing. I'm in love with my industrial. It's by far my favorite piercing. They were very clean and professional. Dave was my piercer. I went with my cousin who also got two piercings (parallel rooks which came out sooo even). I came in for a double nipple piercing. I have multiple tattoos, so I thought that the piercing would be no issue but boy was I not expecting that adrenaline rush. I literally passed out from it. My piercing artist was great and I think I played off passing out pretty well. When it came time to pay, I could barely stand, and because of that I didn't have time to leave a tip for my artist, but next time I'm in for a tattoo or piercing I'll try to get him one. Great artwork, great location and if I wanna buy high quality and expensive metal, this is where I'll go. But honestly the pretentious vibe at the front desk literally runs me out the door most days. Either there's this skepticism about what I'm there to buy or there's this snobbery when I'm told what the prices are. I literally had to ask if I was allowed to buy a certain piercing because they said it wouldn't look good on me! Also I mean you've got a 250$ nose ring next to a 40$ nose ring and they just seemed convinced I can't afford the more expensive one. I decided to surprise my 15 yr old daughter with getting her septum pierced for her birthday, and decided to share the experience with her by getting my nostril pierced. She was extremely excited. We made an appointment and headed in the next day. We were greeted by a very nice, helpful, informative and patient receptionist. Holly was our piercer and I couldn't have asked for a better person! My daughter was super excited and anxious. Holly explained everything she was doing, and as she was getting ready to pierce my daughter, Holly's voice got super calming like something off of bedtime stories! Lol She pierced my daughter, then my daughter said "is it in?" After Holly got everything done, Holly noticed that my daughter was losing color in her face. Holly jumped into action and got her water, cold rag and laid her back for a few minutes. My daughter had worked herself up and when she realized she was fine, she felt faint. After a few minutes she was fine, and then it was my turn. Again Holly explained everything to me, every step of the way. With that same calming voice pierced my nostril. Afterwards Holly also explained how to care and clean our piercings. We are both really happy with our new piercings. I have quite a few tattoos - I have been going to Evolved to get tattooed for quite some time now and have worked with quite a few artists between 2016-2022. To name a few, Joe Stevens, Joe Langley, Biz, Mg, Mike, and Darius. The one done by Joe Stevens had a bruised blowout - this is due to going too deep with the needle (I was told this by my new artist who has taken a look at all of the ones I received at Evolved). Absolutely awful experience with him - had to reschedule because he had a "family emergency" but tried to walk-in and SAW HIM IN THE SHOP. Joe Langley is rude, difficult to work with, and just an all-around unpleasant individual. The other artists dislike him just as much as I do. Biz did my very first tattoo and it was an awful experience from start to finish. Horrible/uneven lines, blown out, and uninspired. Mg was very difficult to communicate with, doubled the price on a whim, and did not respond to emails. Mike was also difficult to communicate with and I ended up asking a different shop to do the tattoo I had originally scheduled with him since he was not responding to any emails I sent. NOW... Darius... Evolved has one redeeming quality and it is Darius. This man has so much talent and charisma. He is amazing to work with and if I was to ever return to Evolved it would be to work with him specifically. read more

Walk-in experience on their piercing Tuesdays: There were quite a bit of people waiting in the lobby area but we got help at the front desk really ask and the girl who helped us was very knowledgeable and helpful. (She had pink hair, hopefully management know who I'm am referring to :) They quoted the wait at 30 min to an hour but we got in right at the 30 min mark. Both my boyfriend and I got our septum pierced and we got to be together in the same room with Holly. Holly was FANTASTIC! Between past tattoos and piercings I have had, she was the most calming presence and she really knows how to find that "sweet spot" for the septum piercing, the pain went away super fast! She even tested flipping my ring and I didn't even feel it, very impressed. Evolved is very clean, professional, and knowledgeable. Holly was obviously passionate about what she does and you don't always find that. Will definitely be going back for any other future piercings and recommend to anyone! read more

Unfortunately my picks where all out of stock. I just didn't love it, I reached out to Evolved using Yelp! Evolved told me to come back. I made an appointment for Monday and met Sosa (@Sosapiercer). I showed him my piercing and said 'I can fix'. Sosa swapped the hardware around and changed the backings as well. Sosa's spirit was so kind and patient. I knew I was going to leave happy the moment I met him. Every staff member had a mask and was friendly during each of my visits. The cultural art displayed made me feel as if I was in a museum. The experience at evolved was great. The lady at the front desk made me feel very comfortable bc I was getting my nose pierced and was a little nervous! The piercing went well, but after paying I noticed a giant swastika tattooed on the arm of the guy that did my piercing. As a Jewish woman, this made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I'm not sure if he was trying to reclaim the idea of a swastika as being peaceful, but in any way, it is NOT okay. The fact that he works at A tattoo shop and hadn't covered that up, or didn't wear a long sleeve shirt is extremely concerning. I would not recommend going to evolved for any sort of body art, as there's no way the other workers/managers haven't seen this tattoo, and allow him to work in a service industry that involves piercings and tattoos with a symbol of antisemitism on his arm. Just an update to the comment from the shop owner: a symbol that has been taken and reclaimed by Nazis in order to create a genocide against my family and my people, especially when over a Star of David, can easily be taken for antisemitism. I respect your opinions, but after talking to tons of Jewish students on campus and in the area about this, we all agree that this can come off terribly. I think what you all as an organization need to understand is the prominent connotation that comes with a swastika, which is antisemitism. Having someone piercing your body while wearing a symbol with that kind of connotation can be extremely scary, especially coming from a background where people like my family have been oppressed/tortured/killed in the name of that symbol. I just encourage you to look at this from the perspective of your customers, and especially the Jewish population that goes to Evolved. read more

No empathy in the conversation and put me on hold for 8 minutes to come back and tell me that they just weren't sure if they were going to make me pay again. Figured I'd finally write a review since we're all stuck inside. Been here for piercing and tattoos multiple times, I've made friends with many of the High St. employees even! I literally come here every Tuesday. Every time I've been here for service, they properly clean and sanitise equipment, and are precise with placement. They also will not pierce you if they know your anatomy cannot support a piercing (ie they won't just take your money if they know a piercing would likely reject, such as navel, etc). Evolved only uses high-grade, implant materials, all internally threaded (vs non implant "Surgical Steel," which is not supposed to be left in the body, and vs externally threaded, which irritates piercings). Sosa did my septum so well, I didn't feel any pain, perfectly on the sweet spot. Healed wonderfully. Holly (my regular) has done all of my others, she has done them so precisely and is wonderful to chat with. She has done second lobes, rook, daith, and navel on me. Soon we'll be doing some more! Jill and Hannah are so wonderful to talk to, I look forward to seeing them whenever I come in. Dave is also great and helped reassure me while my septum was healing. Syd did my first tattoo; her linework is impeccable, also a joy to talk to. She diligently answered my whole slew of questions and concerns, and made sure I was doing okay during healing. Went in today as a walk in for a nostril piercing around 1:30 and they got me checked in. There's so so so many choices and many different price ranges, hoops and studs. Whatever you preferred. Also while you're checking in they also ask you your pronouns which I feel like makes it feel like even more of a safe space to come in and get something done especially if it's your first time. I had nick as my piercer and they were great!! I get very nervous when it comes to needles and poking things and since it was my first time getting a piercing it was very relaxing to be talked through the whole process. Especially since i had my eyes closed because I was nervous. It was so quick and it did hurt but honestly I could do it again. A pinch and then boom.
