I don't know how purchasing jewelry from this store is. My review is just about getting rings sized/repaired. I stopped in based on the reviews. I have a ring that had a 3.0+mm wide and 2.3mm depth band. It needed to be sized down almost a full size. I took it in and was guaranteed they could do it no issue... They told me the band would get thicker because they would be bringing the thicker sides in. I left it with them for a week, as I don't live in Columbus . I was so happy to get it back and didn't really notice until about half an hour later: my ring hurt to wear. I took it off and looked at it and I was devastated. You could feel where they cut the shank, it was wavy, the was no uniformity to the edges, and it was oblong. I called and they apologized profusely. Asked me to take it to the store in Cleveland and they would let that store know we were coming. They did not. The store in Cleveland had no idea I was coming. Turns out, I paid the store in Columbus for the honor of someone ruining my ring. It lost nearly half a mm in depth and thickness. The store in Cleveland did the best they could. They would have had to order shanks and tried to color match the rose gold but it could have ended worse than before. Turns out the Columbus store didn't even resize it correctly and left it a quarter of a size too big. So unless you want your jewelry ruined, take it anywhere else. We were going to purchase an engagement ring from this company, but I'll take my business to alibaba before here. The store manager did refund my 125 resizing fee, or the fee I paid them to take gold out of my ring and leave me with something I couldn't wear. He told me it was weird that it ended up thinner than before because "taking a ring in shouldnt do that". My ring was 2.5mm wide and 1.9mm depth before the Cleveland. Actually fixed it. My question is this: where is the material they took out of my ring and why was I not compensated for that when they trashed my ring? My ring will never be the same. Go anywhere else. read more

Went in to this jeweler to look for ideas for an engagement ring, and we were greeted by their very friendly staff, who immediately offered us a beverage (mimosas included, too)! We were helped by Enrique, who was very knowledgable and patient while I tried on many rings. As soon as I showed him an inspiration picture, he was able to pick out a perfect ring that fit all of our criteria. I highly recommend this store. It was time to upgrade my .3 carat wedding ring for something more substantial. Mary has over 30 years of experience in the gem business and she expertly educated us on choosing the best gem for our budget. Once a diamond passes the one carat weight the price jumps substantially. She chose a .9 carat diamond for me and I get all kinds of compliments on how beautiful it is. Some people even think it's two carats! She also arranged to have my .3 carat diamond made into a solitaire necklace. GO HERE FIRST IF YOU HAVE A RING STUCK ON YOUR FINGER! I am not going to get into exactly how I got my wedding ring stuck on my middle finger, but there was no way to get it off. I called Diamond's Direct (where I bought it from) and asked if there was any way that they could get it off and if they could save the ring for a minimal price. They told me to bring it in and that they would definitely try to help me out. Immediately upon arrival, the jeweler used a special tool to painlessly cut the wedding ring off in a place where it could be mended. I then worked closely with Ellen to ensure that it was resized appropriately, and she did not end up charging me any money for the repair. I got my valued ring back on my finger within three days at no cost, after I was scared of losing both my finger and investment of the ring a few days earlier. I recently bought a ring from Ellen at Diamonds Direct on Polaris, and I would like to share a little bit about the experience my fiancé and I had to help the next person who wants to buy a wedding ring but may not know where to start. Don't worry. I got you. My Fiancé and I went into this process with very little knowledge about engagements rings. Because of this we were nervous going into it because I did not want to deal with pushy salespeople or deal with upselling. Good news, at Diamonds Direct this could not be farther from the truth. Overall, this was an amazing experience from start to finish. The first time my Fiancé and I went into the store it was, low key, overwhelming. We did our research online, but there are levels to this. :-) We sat down, drank a glass of wine, and started talking with Ellen. Right out of the gate this experience felt very VIP'ish'. Strong start, right? Ellen was patient, answered every question that we had (and we had a lot). We got the feeling very quickly that this process is going to be very different than we anticipated, in a good way. Once she finished explaining the process and identified what we wanted, we started looking at the rings. Ellen asked thoughtful questions and showed us specific things that we would ask for, AND things that she thought we would like. If I were reading this, I would be concerned if this is the moment where she starts bringing out more expensive rings and try to upsell us. Not the case. This is the part where we learned more about various type of rings and manufacturers, and the purpose behind why different rings are made the way they are. This is perfect because we want to know that we are making a smart decision and the right one. She is good at reading people. There were plenty of times where I wanted to speak with my fiancé, and she would immediately ask us if we wanted to chat alone for a moment to talk through our choices. At one point I asked her to "get out of my head". :-) In the end, it took 2 different visits and a lot of soul searching to make our final decision about which ring to go with. We went into this knowing very little about wedding rings. We walked out with the most amazing ring, and the confidence that there is no other ring in the world that we want, no other place to buy it, and no other person we would want to guide us through the process. We meet with Aimee as we had an appointment. She was very personable & showed us numerous rings that she thought I'd be interested in. The one that caught my eye was one by the same designer that I had on hold at another jeweler. While the ring at Diamonds Direct was far less, the compared quality (color) was also less than the other so we ultimately made the decision to purchase elsewhere. The repairs came out to me under $150 and did an amazing job. My necklace looks brand new. When buying diamonds or "bling bling", highly recommend this establishment. I did not get acknowledged. I did not get any help. Your loss is someone else's gain. As I browsed by myself, I over heard many sales people try their best pitch at other couples and they were just saying things as if they knew what they were talking about but had no true value in the clients wants. We started with the Diamond Cellar to order another one but we got three different prices for the same ring??? The prices were not even close to one another varying in the hundreds of dollars. She was able to order the ring for me that day and for hundreds less than the lowest price we were quoted earlier from the Diamond Cellar. My husband had been talking about buying me diamond earrings for awhile. I just so happened to hear on the radio an add for five years same as cash. I get excited and think I wonder if he'll go for it too. So I make him a really nice dinner just to help my situation when he comes home from work. I bring up how we have been discussing buying some earrings and the ad overheard on the radio and to my surprise he thinks it's a great idea. We go there first thing on Sunday and it's super secure you have to wait to be let in by a buzzer. We are greeted immediately and we are asked if we are looking for anything specific. We are led to the earring section and shown different sizes of diamonds. The two of us settle on the exact same pair and are rather excited. Once we are told what the price is, my hubby says well if you give it to us for this amount it's a deal and what do you know. They do! They then ask if we'd prefer the push backs or screw backs. We opt for the more secure screw backs and they tell me to give them one day to make them and I happily agree to do it for the security.
