I had my rook done at Evolved by Sosa several years ago. When I felt the slightest pinch, I knew that when my daughter was ready to get her ears pierced, I wanted Sosa to do it. Like last tine, the earrings and needles were sterilized, he skin was sanitized with hospital grade Chlorhexidine. He marks where the earrings would go and in a snap it was over. This is a nice, clean space, and has easy street parking. I arrived when they opened at noon, and took advantage of their advertised free birthday piercing. So what would have been $60 was $30, plus $10 for the bottle of wound wash. Andrea at the counter was nice and helped us all (2 people ahead of me) timely. I got my septum pierced and they all were so amazing! From picking out my jewelry to inserting. My piercer was Sosa and they gave me so much information before and after. I was low key freaking out due to pain and bleeding, they assured me that it will only be a moment and guided me through the breathing exercises a couple of times. Nothing against the artists. I walked in and asked for a tattoo. I expected there to be a wait. The guy that I asked came out a few minutes later and explained it would be an hour and a half. I said that is no problem. I offered to give my number for a call or text if they were ready before or after... so no ones time was wasted. He instead responded in an extremely negative tone "we don't call anyone." I will not take my business to place where I do not connect with the person who is putting something on me for life. I'm not one to review but I think it when it comes to putting a hole in your body, you should know what you're getting yourself into. I came in on my birthday because I had been referred to Evolved by several friends. After further research I found out they do the piercings free if you go on your birthday, you only have to pay for the jewelry itself. Knowing that I made sure to schedule it that day. When I got there I was greeted politely by the receptionist (who is lovely). I then went to talk to another person who showed me my options. However, it seemed scammy because after multiple times asking how much the stud would be I was never given a straight answer. I get into the piercing room after a short wait and the piercer was a little short with me at first but warmed up quickly after recognizing me from my workplace. I asked him how much it would cost and he also couldn't tell me. It wasn't until I got to the register that I was told an actual price which was way more than I had expected to pay that day. All in all, the experience wasn't horrible, the piercing looks great and is healing just fine. But I don't think I will go back for my next one. read more

I have gotten many piercings at Evolved but my favorites were recently by Nick Wolak. Nick pierced my septum and frenulum and replaced my stud with a hoop. He made everything so easy and comfortable. I never give level of pain reviews because pain tolerance is different for each individual. Mine was very tolerable. Nick is very thorough explaining what he is doing and why. As always, aftercare instructions are provided. The shop is amazing and super clean and all sterilization procedures are followed. Nick and his staff helped me pick out the perfect jewelry. All the staff are super helpful and friendly. A perfect piercing by Nick and I will definitely be returning. I also have many piercings by Jared. He is professional, kind, and thorough. I recommend him highly. I am handicapped and he is always helpful and understanding, as is all of the staff. I would never go anywhere else for a piercing. read more

Just got a tattoo from Anna today. It looks amazing. You'll have to come in for a consult before hand and then pay a $50 deposit. So if you're traveling to Columbus for a tattoo make sure you know that you'll have to travel twice. Everyone at the shop is very friendly and professional. Anna made sure everything was clean and sanitary during the whole process. I love how my tattoo turned out. I also got some jewelry for my nose rings while I was there. I got my first helix piercing here by Sosa; he was absolutely amazing! I was sort of leaning toward getting the piercing on my right side and just forcing myself to sleep on my left, but then he explained how the piercing could be bent onto an angle if I accidentally end up sleeping on it - I'm super glad he said that, because I had no idea! I just figured it would be kind of uncomfortable. Another thing that was super professional and smart was as he marked the placement for where it would be, he stopped and had me put on my sunglasses to see if they would hit the new piercing. I was lowkey blown away, because again, I never would've thought of that. The piercing sits in the perfect spot! My sunglasses, which I wore all day, never bothered me once. Major props to Sosa and the whole Evolved gang! The shop was gorgeous, clean, and everyone was extremely knowledgeable about anything I asked. The best part of all? Thanks to Sosa, it didn't even really hurt. The piercing itself didn't hurt, and there was just a slight ache afterwards. Even now, about twelve hours later, I'm not really feeling anything at all. I've bumped it a few times, which made it ache a bit, but overall I don't even notice it. (But it's early... let's hope it stays this way. ) ANYWAY, in all, total 11/10. Would recommend. They rock. Came in on a whim for a free birthday piercing! I knew I was looking for a piercing similar to a rook I already have, but didn't want both ears to look identical. The front desk was very helpful with informing me of the different options for piercing on the ear, and also sizing/looks of the choices of hoops. I selected a daith piercing, and had a very short wait. Mike brought me back to a very clean room, and informed me of the process, step by step. Mike made me feel very comfortable and well-informed! It's been awhile but I'm just about to go get my tattoo redone. I was under 18 at the time and only one person there could tattoo minors. He seemed high on something, but I was with my mom and we both unfortunately ignored it. My tattoo has a huge awkward space in between the words. About a week later I noticed one of the E's looked like a literal scar and had no ink. I went back and he said 'oh haha I mustve forgotten to dip it into the ink.' He went back into my fresh scarred tattoo with more ink. Now everything is awkwardly placed and discolored. It's also slightly raised.... After that I told myself to not go back for tattoos. A few years later I finally went back ,this time for a piercing. I already had doubles but the second hole had already closed. I mentioned this many times..... The girl literally repierced my already open first holes. It was probably a communication error but as a professional piercer I feel like you should be able to tell the difference between open and closed holes. I noticed they were too close multiple times and asked them to be moved but they still overlapped. I went back later that day after I tried squeezing both earrings in to show what I meant. They let me keep the initial $50 teeny tiny earrings as an apology. Everyone was super nice but every time I go in,something goes wrong. Edit: I don't think the person who did my first tattoo still works there. read more

Let me just say that what they do for the Pelotonia crowd is outstanding. I have never in my life thought of getting a tattoo, unless it was something that means the world to me, and Pelotonia is one of those things. Last August I signed up and received a free "Arrow" tattoo while at the kick-off event. Fast forward to this spring and I'm starting to get an "itch" for a second one (a road bike since it's my passion for health and cancer research). I reached out via email and explained what I was considering, told them what and where, and sent them a few "idea" images but ultimately wanted something unique/specific. I was set up with an artist (Mikolaj) and within 24 hours, through email, I was given a sketch of what I was looking for.
