I'm a little nervous to write a review because I don't understand what the issue is? I worked in a hospital for 5+ years and know when something is clean and when it isn't, and this place seems pretty clean. If it wasn't, I def wouldn't have let them put any metal in my face. It was quick, to the point, and pretty friendly. (I also can't stand when someone has that attitude of like "you don't have any visible tattoos or piercings, so let me treat you like an idiot" but I didn't experience that either. A very well known tattoo artist lost my business with that attitude and I'm not cool with it.) I will likely return, even though it is completely out of my way, but I kind of like the idea of not running into people that I know. Piercers are weird and will powertrip you into getting stuff done under their preference. I had called in to verify if they carry *golden* jewelry for ear lobes, and hostess said yes, should be no problem. When I come in an hour later with a friend and they ask me what I want, to my surprise I got denied: A piercer called CJ cuts me off and states "well YOU'RE saying we pierce with gold jewelry, *I* didn't say that, and that'd be more" I tell him "ok, that's what's the host had said and there's no way for me to know. But can it be done, even if it's more?" To which he states he only pierces with silver jewelry, for a reason he refused to provide. My friend and I stared at each other and left after he gave us the creeps. Thank you CJ! read more

absolutely terrible costumer service, my friend and I walk in and she's inquiring about an ear lobe piercing. CJ Martin and one other employee greeted us at the door. My friend was wanting to get her seconds and thirds and he mentioned how his jewelry was too big to do both at a time. Understandable however his attitude when speaking to us was very rude. We felt as costumers that we were not welcomed in the space. My friend asked then if they could pierced in gold and he said they cannot that they only offer silver. However my friend called earlier that day asking if they were able to on the phone they said they could, however when she asked if they did while inside the store, CJ said "No you said we could I said we could only pierce with silver." which again was very rude he could have said that respectfully and it would have been fine. CJ Martin is a genuinely appalling person I would be upset if I ever had to have another experience with him. Do better. read more

If you want a tattoo here, do not get it from Marc Toops. My friends and I got a matching tattoo this weekend and I let Marc know exactly what we wanted a week before. The revealed sketch was different from what I sent. When asked to redraw some details, he rolled his eyes and sighed heavily every single time. He was visibly and audibly annoyed about having to draw what we wanted. It came to a point where we didn't feel comfortable enough to critique it any more because he was so ticked off about it. A tattoo artist should want to work with you to create your tattoo just how you want it, and you will not find that with this artist. We were very uncomfortable, that he made us feel bad that the tattoo had to be slightly redrawn. Ultimately, 2/4 of our tattoos had missing blanks and weren't complete in spots. Absolutely terrible and disgraceful. Unprofessional. I show up to get a piercing. First a small skinny dude is annoyed I came in and he had to work. There were 6-8 people "hanging out" in front of the shop. After they have their laughs, I brought inside by a hideous female? Who also can't be bothered with me. I was very excited to come in for one of those $22 piercings. Actually, I wanted to get two: a belly button piercing, and a second nose piercing. I called to ask if I needed an appointment or can I show up. I was kind of bummed because I was informed that I was unable to get my nose piercing due to our mask mandate and they weren't allowed to do it. That's OK, I figured I would just come back another day. So they had me fill out some forms on a computer which included basically some consent forms and some forms that outlined what to do when I got there. I showed up and there were several people outside smoking cigarettes. I walked up but I didn't say anything because I wasn't sure if they were customers or workers. The sign on the door said to call before I came in. Before I could do so, one of the men asked me if I had come for service. I replied that I had. He instructed me to again fill out the same forms I told him I already filled out so I got back in my car to redo them. I'm not sure how he knew I didn't complete them if he never walked back into the building. I got in my car and left. I honestly didn't even go into the building or give them my service. So, my review is literally just for that limited interaction. I can't comment on the piercings or the tattoos, however, they should really work on their initial presentation because it was very offputting. read more

I went on May 15th to get a nose piercing. It was my first time. When we walked in someone came to greet us then said we needed a whole bunch of papers to prove who we were which was no problem my mom and I went back to the house to grab the things he said we needed and then left back out it takes a while to drive there it was a Monday so they closed at 5 we came back at 4 then there was another dude that said we had to come another time because the piercer was busy doing other piercings but my mom clarified we were already there at 3 so he went back and asked the piercer if he could still do mines and he said yes the piercing was quick and clean i don't know his name but he was really nice he had snake bites and double septums we definitely will be back to get some more read more

i've been to multiple 22 caliber locations but this one is by far my favorite ! kind staff and always has an amazing vibe. i came in on the 26 to discuss using a gift card from last year and Coty was able to fit me in for the next day. he heard exactly what i was asking for and i couldn't be more impressed and thrilled with my new tattoo. 10/10 recommend going to see Coty ! read more

Trash place. Union is a horrible "artist". The owner is a little sawed off sob. Me and my lady friend went and got tattoos and the looked like garbage when they healed. Horrible line work. I've debated writing a review for about a month now. My tattoo experience was decent. The woman who ran the front desk kept on asking when we'd be done, which was pretty annoying but I got over it. I paid for two tattoo and spent $300. I have a whole sleeve, so I knew how to take care of my ink, but i still listened to the artist. Both tattooos swelled for two weeks and had so much plasma drainage i had to dab it off every 30mins. I used aquaphor, as recommended and big mistake. My tattoos seeped ink. I used it once and tossed it. Went straight back to tattoo goo and thought the ink would heal fine. Until it turned a dark green. I have blowout lines along my wrist, all the color changed and just looks horrible. I saved my first tattoo, but the secone one... I don't even trust them to do a coverup on it. And it still peels and hurts three months later. The conversation is great and other tattoos look promising. But never has my colored tattoos looked like a blob till now. read more

Hello, I am reviewing based on a septum piercing i had done on Friday 10.16.2020 at the Canal Winchester location. I informed the woman who pierced me that i had a septum piercing before and wanted to put it back i the same place, she assured me that she would do that. However, this is not what happened. She actually did not go far enough into my nose and pierced the underside of the tip of my nose, not even in the septum. It was very uncomfortable and when she finished she said it had gone through scar tissue which is why it was so hard to get through (not true). The piercing was so low that it rested on top of my lip and would hit my mouth every time i spoke, ate, or drank. I ended up going to Evolved tattoo and piercing (where i originally had it pierced) and they confirmed my suspicions of it being too low and the ring being too big for my face. They had to remove the piercing. read more

I had an appointment for noon. Artist didn't even show up to the shop until 1230- no apology or anything. I had gotten a sitter so this is valuable time for me. I had one medium tattoo done and one small. I was there until 6 pm! While I don't by any means want to suggest that I want the artist to rush, these were not my first tattoos and I was there significantly longer than average. Again, while I'm paying for a sitter. Here's the kicker, I now have to go to a DIFFERENT artist at a DIFFERENT shop to FIX the tattoo I got done 3 weeks ago. The lines are spotty and the artist was too heavy handed and caused a tattoo blowout! Now I have to go somewhere else to get the blowout covered by someone that knows what they are doing. I was really hoping to make this artist my new go to guy, but now I'll never go back to the shop, and I suggest you don't either! Pay a little more for quality work!! read more

Hmm... where to start? The hours online say they open at noon (12pm,) at 12:55pm the sign still was not on. My daughter and I decided to go on in since so many people were going in and out, maybe they forgot to turn the "open" sign on. We walked in to find out about a piercing she wanted today for her birthday. They guy was too busy playing pool, and said they do piercings but the piercer was not in. I asked when they would he in and he had no clue, couldn't tell me a thing. Instead of trying to take our information make an appointment for us or find out when someone would be in, he just shrugged. I told him we would just take our business else where. I went in to get a septum piercing, they do walk ins and the wait was about 15 minutes which isn't bad at all. It was my first time getting a facial piercing, and the atmosphere was very comfortable. Their employees were informative and helpful, told me everything i needed to know. I thought the price was completely fair and I love what I got. Well where to begin. This place is trash:/ my friend got her nipples pierced last week and hmmm to say they suck is an understatement. First of all the dude was too lazy to even find the correctly sized jewlery, so he used jewlery that was way too small for her nipples. Then instead of sitting up in the chair and the piercer sitting in front of her he had her lay down on the chair and he stood over top of her to pierce them. Thats so gross to begin with, literally breathing on her. Another thing is, the dude was way too rough, he didn't use a clamp so she was in a lot of pain. she kept squeezing him and pushing him because it hurt so bad and he said "you better stop otherwise im gonna stab your boob". Therefore 0/10 do not recommend. And if they pierce like this i would hate to see their tattoos. read more

The absolute worse Tattoo experience at a professional shop because of Kevin Adkins. Beware and use at own risk. After his cancellation of my week long appointment, I was ignored and when i aquired about rescheduling, i just got the run around for over a Month. When i informed him of wanting to go to a differant artist, he threw a temper tantrum of that of a 5 year old, and cussed me up one side and down the other,and publicly post his bussiness on this shop on his facebook page. Not sure if it was the 500 dollar gift card i received for Christmas that lead to me being ignored because the shop got paid Allready, or what. Beware on gift cards for that matter as well. I have several piercings from the store in Hillard but I refuse to step foot in the parsons location because my friend got her nose pieced and the dude did it crooked and yanked on it and she started bleeding super bad. I also got a tattoo from the one in Hillard and I will never let them tattoo me again. I've had to have my tattoo touched up 3 times and now possibly a 4th. The tattoo is a year old and looks like it's 30+ years old. Shawn was supposed to do my tattoo and never showed up for my appointment and said "I can have someone else do my tattoo" never will I go here again. Recently got my ear pierced (third holes) and turns out the girl was extremely new and shouldn't be piercing on her own because she pierced my ear side to side and now I have two earrings right next to each other and have to have them close up and done again. Waste of my time and money. WILL NEVER BE BACK. Sure they're cheap but you might as well get a good quality tattoo by going somewhere else like Body Language or Luxury tattoo. I went in for a circle tattoo. The guy was a manager with a great portfolio. He was clearly talented when I stood up the line work was terribly uneven due to thickness & more of an oval. It also smelled like someone was smoking in the shop (I was the only customer there.) at the end he barely cleaned off my tattoo. A tattoo artist was napping on his bed in the back. Mostly what bothered me was that this talented man didn't care enough about my simple tattoo to put the effort in & get the lines right. I walked in to the Hilliard Rome location for their Friday the thirteenth tattoo sale. I came in at noon to try and beat the crowd. Right away the guy told me that they weren't doing doing the sale at that location (not posted anywhere on their website.) ok fine, so I asked him if maybe anybody had any time that day. He was rude, dismissive and acted like I was a total moron for asking. He didn't suggest a time for me to come back or a different day, nothing. This was going to be my first tattoo and I felt I didn't belong there as soon as he opened his mouth. I get your artists were booked, I even can understand the mix up about the sale, but treating me like an idiot who's bothering you is unacceptable. I went in and got my tragus pierced. less than I week later it swelled over the bar (that's extra long) and when I went in for them to check it because it worried me, they said its "normal".. so I continued to clean it regularly until the pain became unbearable. I had a friend help me take it out, come to find out that they had given me a staph infection. not a dirty environment, but not as clean as possible, which I wish I noticed before this occurred. read more

Not one to post reviews but I had to after my great experience. Went to get my nipples re-pierced here today, I had never been here before but had a friend recommended and I will definitely be returning. I didn't catch the lady's name who helped me but she was AWESOME!!! She was a bad ass covered in tats and had her tongue split (If you're reading this awesome girl thank you again I will find you and come back for my next piercing!!!). I had a lot of scar tissue built up from where I had them pierced before, especially in my right one. She was super gentle and did her best to make me feel comfortable because that shit HUUUUUURRRTTTT (not her fault at all like I said she was very gentle, there was just sooooo much scar tissue that she pretty much had to push it out in order to get anything through). She felt so bad for how much pain I was in that she only made me pay for one nipple (right?! I know!!!). She genuinely did not have to do that and I was so appreciative of how sweet she was and that she did that for me. I highly recommend her and am certainly kicking myself for not catching her name. read more

It was the 22 on the corner of Hilliard Rome and Roberts. Mitch was there, touching up the tattoos. The man who sent me away said they don't sell jewelry yet, the had just ordered it. I was told I could get jewelry at Meijer's and that any place in the mall would change my piercing. Which I guess is fine, had they told me that from the start. Instead of being angry that I did not contact a second store and handle the mismanagement, you should be talking to your staff and apologizing to me. By saying that my experience wasn't that bad, you're implying that my time is not important to you and that you needn't do your job in order to get a good review. I stated in my first review that I needed to get a sitter in order to come, which means I spent not only time but money to come to your establishment. Perhaps apologizing and offering to make things right would make other readers respect your company and make them interested in chancing the same. If you are the owner, which you implied, you are responsible for your employees (good or bad). Maybe you could ask them why they turned away a paying customer without showing them ANY jewelry after making them wait. Taking ownership is part of being responsible. And customer service is what is required to get a good rating. read more
