Long post but worth it if you care anything about customer service. I'm not here to try to bash anyone, but simply explain why I won't come back even though Damon was super friendly when actually conversing with him and his work was great. This is the only reason they get 2 stars.
My friend and I came here in June of 2017 to get tattoos. My tattoo artist was Damon. A few months after my original tattoo, I contacted them about getting my touch up done before the year ended. They told me they'd tell Damon and he would reach out to me. He never did. Okay- I'm understanding. Things happen, life is crazy, lots of appointments, maybe the person on the phone forgot to tell him, no big deal.
A couple months pass, still no response. I call again. They assure me that they will write a message for Damon to reach out to me. Nothing again. Months pass. At this point I'm starting to get frustrated since he hasn't even texted me to tell me anything. A couple MORE months pass, and I send them a Facebook message. They tell me their number has changed, but don't even give me the new number. Their old one was still listed on google. I finally find their new number and call AGAIN, and they say the same "we'll give him the message and he'll call you!" To which I finally spoke up and explained that they had been saying this to me for MONTHS, and nobody was getting back to me. But, again, they assured me that they would.
FINALLY, after months and months of trying to get a response, I actually drove all the way from Pickerington to make the appointment in person because they didn't contact me.
When I finally met up with him, it was like late April of this year. Yes, this is really how long it took to just get an appointment set up. I explained to him that I would be going out of town for most of June and July, but I wanted to get my touch up done within the year. He told me it was fine to get it a little bit after the year ended (which I really appreciated!), and then he also told me to just reach out to him when I got back from my trip to make an appointment. I knew from the experience I had been dealing with them them that, it would never happen if I waited. I told him that I would like to make my appointment that day before I left so that it could be on the calendar for both of us. Also, he did tell me that he did get my messages when I was trying to get in contact with him. (He never responded to any of them. Slap in the face much?)
Well, here I am, sitting in my car waiting and waiting because he decided to change the time on me when I walked in. Our appointment was at 2. When I walked in he looked super surprised and it was obvious that he had not remembered I was coming or made a note of it since the time was wrong. (I confirmed the date and time 3 times with him when we made the appointment). He said he had to tattoo somebody first and then quickly looked at my tattoo and said "yeah that shouldn't take long". Okay. My boyfriend and I walked next door to get some ice cream, and 20 minutes later we walk back to sit in the car and Damon is taking his grand old time outside smoking a cigarette.
Basically, terrible customer service. The only reason I have been so persistent about having him touch it up is because he was the one that did it and obviously since it's a permanent thing, I want to make sure that it stays how it is and is done by the same person.
It's a shame too, because he did a good job on it and I was looking forward to giving him more business. He's such a nice guy when you actually talk to him and really does great work, but I just had to go in way too many circles and go above and beyond to even get so much as a call back, much less an appointment made. It's just not worth it.
To top it off, I got seen at 4:15. I waited this long for an appointment I made months in advance. Never again. read more
