Gary is very personable and down to earth and really helps ease any nerves you have about the experience. He's also the best tattoo artist I've had the pleasure of meeting. I've never had any issues with a tattoo healing here, as I've followed the instructions given to me for aftercare. Gary and Atattooed will solely have my tattoo business and you're doing it wrong if you go anywhere else for your tattoo work.

I wish I recorded this call because I remained friendly and polite and I was met with such RUDE customer service. This establishment is completely unprofessional. "Oh so you're the little girl that kept moving" I can ASSURE YOU that I did not even flinch. I have a tattoo and a nose piercing and I at most shed a tear during my nose piercing because it is a NATURAL REACTION. I didn't even shed a tear during this service. DON'T GO HERE! After years of being a customer I started hearing things they were saying to others behind my back. People I sent to their studio because I liked the work and people would come to back and tell me things I was shocked to hear these people say. Especially when I thought I was liked by the people. I can also confirm that Denise's "one and done" flash sheets are not in fact one and done. I have a tattoo from a Disney flash sheet, I was told I would be the only person getting; a year or so later I have seen talked to another person with the same tattoo and they were told the same thing. The floral designs are all copy paste. After seeing Denise's work everything seems to just be the same. A 1/2 arm sleeve Denise did for someone I know I have seen the exact same design as a hip cap sized up. No changes. Don't waste your money on people who will treat you like shit behind your back. Charge you for "designs" they aren't doing for YOU especially when there is another tattoo shop 3 doors down ran by a wonderful woman who isn't trying to be apart of the secret lives of Mormon wives season 3.

She's new and doing a great job. She handed me my paperwork (a very straightforward, standard form - allergies, have you eaten, DOB, etc) and immediately told us to help ourselves to free drinks and snacks. This was an immediate green flag, because having a high enough blood sugar is so important when getting a tattoo, but I've never been in or heard of another studio that has these for free. (1st tattoo for myself, but I've accompanied a lot of friends.) The seating area also has plenty of room and lots of books to keep yourself occupied. Tattoo books, magazines, even a coloring book. They have some art and apparel for sale as well. As for the tattoo, I got an apprentice tattoo from Taylor (@taysartz). I followed her and loved her art before she started accepting clients, so I was so excited when she open her books. We chatted on Instagram beforehand, and she is so so sweet and receptive to my beginner questions. I think her tattoos are soo good, and it's crazy to me that she's just a beginner. (I was her 13th tattoo!) I got a tattoo from her flash book and am so so happy with how it turned out - just like the design! The conversation flowed naturally and the silence in between was very comfortable. Since I got a tattoo on my hip, she even offered to put up a barrier for more privacy if I preferred. She checked in regularly to see if I wanted a break or a snack and if I had any feedback on the tattoo. I'm honestly ecstatic, the tattoo is so perfect and cute; Taylor really did such a great job In addition to the free snacks and drink, they give you an aftercare goodie bag with soap for after you remove the "second skin," ointment, a reusable ice pack, and a piece of candy. They thoroughly explain the aftercare process as well. I highly recommend this studio and Taylor; we had such a positive and comfortable experience. :)

We discovered the typical mall places cannot pierce cartilage so Bodystain was highly recommended. The shop was clean, staff was extremely friendly, professional, and answered all our questions regarding piercings and tattoos. My daughter said it was a pain free process that was fairly fast. The artist was friendly and made her feel quite comfortable. She was also given literature on aftercare instructions. I'm unfamiliar with the tattoos but I'd recommend Bodystain for piercings. If you're a parent or guardian of a minor, save yourself a trip and bring proper identification and a birth certificate of your child. They strictly follow the health code requirements which is a good thing. They also explain some of the risks of piercings. I'm thinking I'll be returning for myself, to get my first ever tattoo. I'm thinking a teeny weeny fork/knife chef tat, in some private area, because I'm cool like that. LOL

I booked 3 hours away from home to get a cover-up done by an artist I choose after researching for…read moremany months. Because, I wasn't able to come in for a consult due to the distance, when I booked I was told the artist would be in touch with me via phone to talk about the upcoming appt. I sent photos of existing tattoo as requested. I never received that phone call. Instead, I had to contact the artist multiple times through social media to inquire about ideas and options (it was going to be a difficult job), as I wasn't able to freely choose a design due to the complexity of the cover-up. The artist put me off for several weeks only after asking again, he said he would work on a sketch and send it to me the following day (4 days before the appt). This never happened. When I arrived, after a 3 hour trip the artist had no real idea what he planned to do and probably only looked at the photos I sent WEEKS before, like 5 min before my appt. So, as the clock was ticking on my 4 hour time slot , I had to frantically Google images to give him an idea of what I liked. He drew it directly onto my foot over the existing tattoo. As you can imagine, it was quite difficult to envision the finshed work over the the existing ink AND upside down. The pressure was on though, as we are already an hour into the 4. I asked for a realism style and while the tattoo is done well, it's not what I expected or what we discussed (to the extent that could be done via social media). Because, I had a tough time with the sides of my foot holding color, I expressed concern that may happen again. The artist offered a "free" touch-up after it healed. Again because I had trouble with my foot in the past, I wanted to be absolutely sure I was doing everything correctly. So, I sent several emails over the course of the first 2 weeks noticing some color had lifted from the sides (I felt due to no fault of the artist). The artist was vague, abrupt and eventually down right rude and nasty claiming I didn't follow care instructions with no evidence I hadn't (other than telling him I left it covered the very first night- he discouraged it and I never covered it again -only lightly with a handkerchief while in the 95° summer sun - which is ON the care sheet he sent home with me btw). He recanted his touch-up offer and told me I'd have to pay additional keeping in mind having to make another 6 hour round trip, and for a tattoo I was WAY overcharged for in the first place for the size and time invested. $568 to be exact...my foot isn't THAT big. He touted how he cut me some great deal - don't think so - and said that all my questions and request for a touch-up after healing was insulting and that I was basically asking too many questions and was annoyed with receiving so many emails regarding healing and care. He said I could email or call if I had any questions.... I did...only to be practically berated for doing so. It's true, I should have been more vocal up front about my issues and concerns througout the process and that's on me. But what ISN'T is the poor professionalism, customer service and fair pricing for a permanent thing that will be forever a part of me. All that to say, while he does do good work, I'd look elsewhere if you want to find someone who listens, is fair, who understands the healing process isn't always "perfect" (esp on difficult body parts), and is genuinely concerned about customer service and doesn't backpedal when he feels it suits him.
