So, reading through the Evolve Spa reviews here on Yelp, it seems that the majority of them are from well seasoned spa veterans. Until yesterday, I was a total newbie to the whole spa / massage thing. I am a lifer in the construction biz and have a very physically demanding job, which can take its toll over many years of abusing your body. After a particularly tough few days, my back and shoulders were in agony, and being from the Grand Rapids area, my typical Chiropractic visit wasn't really an option. On nothing more than an iPhone inquiry, Siri told me that Evolve Spa was nearby our current job site. They very graciously allowed me to make an appointment after their normal hours. My appointment was with Alex Francis, and she immediately made me feel welcome and answered all of my newbie questions. I had no idea what to expect, but within minutes, I was on a cloud. Alex was wonderful, and I can't say enough about how great the massage was. My anxiety about this new experience disappeared quickly, and I loved every minute of it! I don't have any other basis for comparison since this was my very first and only massage, but I wouldn't want to take a chance anywhere else after this. This is the place to go for a Spa Party!!! It was my sister's 30th birthday and we wanted to have a pampering, fun day. There were 6 of us and we called around to the different spas in New Buffalo, and Evolve was the only place that seemed to meet what we wanted. Since we called a few weeks in advance we were able to have the whole spa to ourselves for a party, and they didn't charge us a fee for this or anything. They even brought in an extra nail girl for us since we all wanted mani/pedis. 4 of us also had massages, which were so AMAZING!! My mom had a body scrub that she said was so relaxing and refreshing. The birthday girl had a facial and loved that. We were able to bring in a couple bottles of wine and snacks, and they provided glasses and everything we needed. They were so accommodating without being all over us- we got to relax and have fun and it felt like we really special. The spa is really clean and relaxing, and we got a great deal on all our services. I think I want to come here for my birthday in a few months. read more

One of the best massages I've ever had and I've had a lot. I have tried a few of the therapists and they have all been good. My current therapist is Ruta I am a runner and she knows how to work out my sore spots. She definitely has some strong hands. Quads, IT, hamstrings, gluts... She is amazing. I do the buy 5 get one free package. I feel spoiled for sure. But seriously, how can you beat the deal. This place is in New Buffalo near my summer house. It comes out to 62.50 per massage in the package I buy. Massages elsewhere tend to go from $75-$125 per hour . And such a great massage. Therapists are well trained in techniques and in anatomy. They have a nice quiet area to wait in where you can have a nice tea or a bottle of water, easy parking and the most comfortable massage tables I will never go anywhere else. read more

I had a bachlorette party booked at Evolve Spa last weekend. The staff was incredibly professional and bent over backwards to accommodate our group of 9 girls. The massage and facials were fantastic. I felt physically better after the massage. The spa provided access to a kitchen and provided chilled champagne bucket and an area for us to set up our snacks. A shout out to Ruta, Ezmeralda, Yasmin, Alex, Andrew, and Heather, thank you for the wonderful relaxing massages and facials. Did I mention they let us have a private spa party for our group? This is the place to go for fantastic customer service, in a small town, with big city knowledge and a super hip atmosphere. I'm coming back this Fall for a couples massage with my boyfriend!!! I had the most amazing massage at Evolve Spa in New Buffalo. My husband and I went there for my birthday but we had different massage therapist. I am so proud to say that Alex Francis LMT is a master at her craft. It had been a while since I had a massage and I had no idea how many knots that I had in my back. She worked out every knot and made the whole experience a relaxing and wonderful experience. The music added to the ambiance as well as her attentive and empathetic nature. She ended the massage with my neck and face. It was so relaxing I did not want to move afterward. I wanted to soak in the experience to carry with me for a long time. I dont recommend this spa at all. A group of us scheduled appointments here and were told that this spa can accommodate us all, however when we arrived we realized that only two staff members will be doing all of our treatments. We ended up spending about 6 hours at the spa without any of the promised complimentary champagne or snacks. We were so disappointed because this place really seemed like a good get away spot. The owner told us we were going to be able to enjoy snacks and muffins (which they say they offer for their clients) but we spent the whole day without any of those. We were also very surprised that only two people were working that day when there were 6-8 of us. read more

I had the nicest experience at Evolve Spa in New Buffalo while on vacation last week. My family was in from out of town for a reunion, they were able to accommodate all of my sisters and me for the most wonderful massage and facial services. My 80 year old mother was in heaven and felt she was floating after her treatment and I will admit I went back for a second massage with Ruta that week, I am a runner and she knew exactly what to do to loosen my IT band and make me feel great. Be careful of this place! My girlfriends and I had booked a bunch of services here a few weeks in advance. We were going to drop a lot of money in this place on massages, facials and nails. The owner, Ruta, didn't let us know until a few hours before our services were to start that they did not have a nail person available. She made it sound like it had just happened, but I talked to some people in town and they almost never have someone to do nails. Ruta is just not a very good business woman, I guess. Apparently she gives a decent massage so maybe she should stick with that. read more

Evolve is a wonderful place with wonderful Therapists. They accommodated the whole family on a short time notice. Ruta gave one of the best massages I have ever received, and as a fellow therapist, I am picky. My mother-in-law had Andrew and she also stated it was one of the best massages she has ever received. He must have included some Reiki because she noticed some differences in her energy level. I would recommend Evolve Spa to everyone in New Buffalo or even if you are stopping through. read more

I went to Evolve SPA hoping t relieve neck and shoulder pain that I had been dealing with for 3 weeks. I was absolutely amazed when I left pain free. My clinical therapist Ruta Traska, took extra time to diagnose what was causing the pain and then worked painstakingly to massage it out. which to my amazement she did. as an active person, I have had many massages, and I must say, this one was the best. I must also note how clean and friendly the SPA is. I highly recommend the SPA and Ruta! read more

Evolve Spa should be more aware of informing their clients about treatments that are not available. We made appointments for a group of women and were told this spa does facials, massages, and other various treatments that we were interested in. However, almost last minute were notified that facials were not available or that they didn't have appointments for us. We ended up searching through town to find another spa who could do a few facials last minute. Not a relaxing experience. read more

Have had mediocre massages at other spas in New Buffalo, so decided to try this new place. Had a FANTASTIC 90 min deep tissue massage from Alex! She intuitively found and worked on all the super tight muscles in my back as well as finding some other ones in my legs that I didn't realize were tight. She clearly understands how all the muscles connect together and knew exactly what to do to get all the knots worked out. Feels great now! I will definitely be back. read more

This was an amazing experience. Unfortunately I cannot remember my masseuse name but all my girlfriends had the same reaction the their masseuse sink came only say go get one. I've had plenty of massages in my past and theyre Ok. This one was perfect. The atmosphere. Location. This spa is honestly as good as it gets! My Mom and I went in for a Mother/Daughter massage package & the treatment was honestly pure bliss. Both of the therapists were so kind and really knew what they were doing! I have not felt this relaxed in a long, long time. Can't say enough about my experience. Gave my sister the gift of a facial and massage for her birthday, and got the same for myself. In fact there were three of us. We were made to feel like we were the only clients they had. Our experience was all about time and care. Before we knew it those hours were behind us and we felt renewed.
