The receptionist who took my call was charming and informative when it came to booking my appointment and answering all my questions. Her excellent service definitely set the tone for what was going to be a 5-star experience. At this salon, you have the option of booking with a junior or senior stylist with a small price difference depending on the service you choose. I don't get my hair cut too often and am nit picky when I do so I decided to go with a senior stylist. I was booked with Alana and was quite blown away with her bubbly and down-to-earth personality. Not only did she make my haircut enjoyable with short and sweet anecdotes to keep the conversation going but she also gave me some of the most informative tips when it came to my hair. Some of the tips she gave me were looking to part my hair down the middle instead of the side and shampooing my hair twice to really deep clean my scalp. And let me tell you, all her tips were such game changers for me. Another thing that I appreciated was how she didn't try to push sales on me when it came down to talking about products. Not only that, when I mentioned some changes I'm looking to do for my hair later this year, Alana made the effort to let me know that she will make notes about that for a future visit. I didn't leave my appointment with huge transformation since I'm hoping to grow my hair out but I did leave with one of the best salon experiences I've had in a long while. Came in for a cut as a walk-in and had LAUREN as my hair stylist. Super sweet, friendly, and professional individual. I've had previous stylists consult my hair before and made me feel really bad about it, but Lauren sees potential and made me feel like I can get the balayage I want maybe sooner than I expected. On 7/3/20 I had a 4pm appt. with Amanda but the client before me wasn't done until 5pm. They charge based on the stylist's experience level and I went with the most affordable option which is $55. I had long thick wavy hair and wanted shoulder length layers. At first I loved my haircut, but I don't know how to achieve the blowout look at home. The cut wasn't that flattering with my natural hair texture. I'm a busy mommy and had mentioned I wanted a low maintenance wash-and-go type of cut, but I'm watching DIY blowout tutorials on YouTube. Meanwhile I've been wearing my hair in a bun and head wrap since My layers are too short and I can't do a low side ponytail since my layers fall out. However I got a lot of compliments on my blowout style while I had it. Amanda was very friendly and offered product recommendations for my dry hair which dried out after I box dyed it last month. (Bumble and bumble invisible oil and the Redken all soft mega shampoo and conditioner). Sadly, I received the worst haircut of my life at this salon. My first visit went very well (5 stars), but my 2nd visit with a different stylist was a disaster (zero stars). I came home with uneven lengths and tiny knots still in place from old ends not cut. Just awful. This stylist knew nothing about cutting curly hair. Had to search out my old pre-Covid stylist elsewhere to correct what this one couldn't manage. In any new salon, I suggest asking very specifically ahead of time how the stylist cuts curly hair. Wish I had done this. If she's not cutting from the root, walk out! You don't cut curly hair like a hedge. You know what I mean, curly-haired people. read more

I was looking for a place to get my haircut done locally because I like to maintain a short cut that compliments my round face. I was a regular here for a while because they had a great stylist who was gentle with my hair, delivered exactly what I described every time and went above and beyond with the finishing touches. She also went the extra mile by giving me a glass of water at the beginning of each session. She is no longer there, so I met with a different stylist who was not as good as her. She got the job done (I'm not too picky about having my hair done a particular way, as long as it gets the general shape and length right), but she used this comb and scraped my scalp what felt like 10+ times while cutting my hair. When I got home, my scalp was inflamed, red and in pain (I have sensitive skin, so this was a difficult to deal with - it lasted a few days). My experience taught me that it is "hit or miss" here. I hope that they find and retain their high-performing stylists, better train the newer stylists, and implement a better system of keeping potentially loyal customers. Maybe by the time you go there, they will have made improvements. read more

The best experience I've had in a Salon. First, I was running late for my appointment and they kindly and nicely accommodated me still. Front desk (wish I would've gotten her name) was really nice and welcoming despite my tardiness. My appointment was with Jonathan who has been recommended to me by various girls already.. When I met Jonathan he was very nice and friendly. He allowed me to explain what I wanted and showed him my inspiration photos which he really took into consideration and came up with the best idea that worked for me and my hair. He then took the time to explain what he would do, keeping in mind the health of my hair. Always reassuring that I was okay with it and understood the process. Throughout the whole time he kept me laughing and entertained. There wasn't a moment when I felt awkward or bored. The whole visit, he always made sure I was okay, offered drinks, gave me hair advice, and made sure all my questions or doubts were answered. It was honestly a very pleasant visit. When I saw the results, it was more than I had expected. He really took the image I had in mind and created something even better. I am very picky with my hair since I've been trying to care for it. And I'm so glad I found him. I truly look forward to coming back. I honestly had a better experience than when I went to the Alen M Femme Coiffure Salon which was a lot more expensive. This place advertised on their website that they were proficient in HotHeads extensions, but when I got there for my appointment it was just one thing after another. No one there had ever seen my HotHead crown piece before, let alone knew what to do with it. I will say that they tried to make some calls to find someone at another salon to help but in the end I was left without any service, and time wasted. They didn't even sell HotHeads products so I don't understand why they had any affiliation on their site. Big disappointment. read more

I was really on the fence of writing this review... I went there about 2 weeks ago and had an appointment with Liz. She did a pretty good job with the color (I would say 4 stars) but the cut turned out pretty bad. I didn't realize it at the salon (as the hair gets always styled and has product in it when you leave). But the next day I found a good size hole in one side. I'm not into ruining anyone's livelihood so I'll leave names out of this but I will say I would not recommend this salon. One reason: front desk unable to match stylist to customer appropriately when given exactly what customer says they need. When you ask for someone with experience and get the newest stylist due to needing to give her a client it won't usually end well. "They're all great" is not true here. Owner should train. They'll just keep getting one time first clients and not keeping any regulars. Front desk staff was rudest I've ever seen and I'm really low maintenance.. And then there was the fact that I got the worst color I ever have. The color was done twice because the stylist didn't understand that the root needed to be toned differently than the rest due to lighter root. She just added the same color again. It wasn't stubborn. The grey was covered. The result is hot orange roots. Cut was done in about 4 snips and although ok it was far from what I was asking for. I was hoping to find a stylist I would use regularly. Haven't had a haircut in a few years. My hair was basically long and dead from all the non-protected straightening I put it through or what my friend called "hay". Out of the blue one day, I decided to finally mow the lawn as well as time for a drastic change. It was my first time coming here. They accommodated me even though I didn't make an appointment. Sarah asked a lot of questions to make sure that I was comfortable as well as to understand what I really wanted. After the trim, she also gave me great advice on how to take care of my hair. Then, I scheduled my balayage with her as well. Again, she took great care of me, and took the time to perfect her craft. I'd kind of been dreading getting my hair cut- I was at that embarrassing stage where you KNOW you've waited too long to get a cut, but in I went. I can't tell you how much I love my hair. By sheer luck, I walked in a on a busy Friday to get my hair done and the only person available was the owner, David. Not only does this man know how to cut hair, but he did it with such finesse that I was just blown away with how beautiful it looked. Since David is the Master Stylist, he does charge $80 for a hair cut, dry, and style but it's SO WORTH IT! As for the other stylists, they are definitely a talented bunch as my sister was the one who referred me to this salon and her stylist did a fantastic job on her hair! I came in on Wednesday for a color consultation with Mandy and the Monday after I came in for my appointment to do a rose gold balayage and a haircut and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED it!!! I came in with virgin hair and I was really scared of how damaged my hair would be or how I couldn't pull off pink hair (I'm Asian) but omg I absolutely love my new hair I feel like a completely new person!!! Mandy was so patient with all of my questions and not to mention professional, she made sure everything went perfectly - the rose gold in my hair was a little too light at one point and she added a little more darkness to it which resulted in her having to stay after hours to completely finish the job and also to blow dry my hair, but she was so nice about it.
