My father was recently the victim of spear phishing and his computer was compromised and a malicious 3rd party gained access to his PC and his bank. Ron was compassionate, sympathetic, and professional. He talked in plain English with me about the nature of the types of viruses and trojans that compromised my father's PC. He set up an Admin account for me and a User sign in for my father to prevent unwanted software from being installed and made further security suggestions. Ron even offered to print out a detailed receipt for my father to give to his bank to certify a professional cleaned the PC. I wouldn't hesitate to use Everything Computers again. Today, I wanted a routine checkup/full scan on my 15+ year old computer and was I again treated extremely well by Ron. I recently bought a refurbished laptop and had great customer service, while shopping. I was promised that if anything went wrong, the owner would fix it and support me. I went back a few days later and spent another 100 dollars to have my dad's computer fixed. I also have given these guys business, in the past. I dropped my laptop off, and told Ryan what the issues were. This was at 10:30 a.m. on a quiet day. He said it could take until the following day to fix. Someone would contact me. The issues I had were not grand...some stuff with flash not working and movies buffering. By 4:30, I called back and spoke with Mike, who sold the unit to me. He put me on hold and maybe conferred with Ryan. Got back on the phone and said he would fix it. Called an hour later and said everything was good to go. I picked it up, brought it home and nothing was different. Same issues. I left a message and never heard back. Had to call AGAIN. Was told that Mike would call me back so he could remotely fix things. That was two days ago. I just called and was told by Ryan that they are extremely busy and I would have to bring the computer in again. At this point, I have lost trust in this business. I don't get call backs, I already left the computer, and I am not treated like an important consumer. I spent 500 dollars with them, in the past two months and I am done. Will contact Hal's computers and have him fix the issues. I would not purchase anything from this place. Unreliable. Also, when I was initially shopping for this laptop, I was shown another one, which wouldn't turn on or work. Maybe that should have been a sign. read more

I brought my computer in for a simple problem immediately after leaving our local Best Buy where I was told they would not speak to me without an appointment and that I could schedule an appointment for that afternoon. Wow, these guys are the epitome of customer service. I explained my problem and that I really did not want to invest alot in this laptop. They were straight, efficient and followed up with us every step of the way. Really? It took you 3 months to figure out how you were going to whip up a story? What- 10 words a day? Did Larry, Curly and Moe help you? You are right on one point, that those customers that have expectations should know what to expect from you and thankfully, I have let them know now. So good of you to admit you didn't have any of your rental terms pre-printed on an agreement at the time I rented from you and you were making it up as you went. It's great that you now have an actual rental contract so that you can't bait and switch someone when they have a problem and you want to mess them over. If in fact, "over the years we have had multiple customers rent a laptop and then bring it back early claiming an issue to try and get out of paying the amount due" then why wouldn't you have the good sense to get an actual rental agreement years ago instead of just hustling people as you went? If anything, I'm glad I forced you to provided some transparency for those people that rent from you in the future and don't read my review first. Your assertion that I spent lots of time connected to my home network and browsed using your PC when I own two Macs, is laughable. Anyone who owns a Mac knows that it is a straight up lie that any Mac user would willingly and voluntarily spend any amount of time browsing the web on a PC when there are two Apple computers available in a home. Let's break it down further using some logic and let the intelligent readers decide for themselves. I am currently a law student and law students only get one shot to get a grade for a class- the final exam. That means that law students such as myself forgo spending all of Thanksgiving day with their families, much less cooking it, and instead dine and dash to hit the books. They forgo early Christmas shopping. They forgo spending time with their kids over Thanksgiving break in order to study. They forgo all of the things regular folks do for that one, all-important, sink or swim critical moment when they take those exams. Everything that is noncritical gets put to the side until after exams and the ONLY focus is EXAMS. It is such a stressful time that if a law student ate coal for breakfast they could **** diamonds for dinner. There is no time to waste renting an unusable PC at a stupid crummy little computer shop and driving all the way back out to make a return the following day on a whim and after taking an exam where the PC did not work. It doesn't take much grey matter to understand that. I have spent over $100,000 to attend law school, and sacrificed for three years while a wife and mother, which will ultimately be put to good use when I get to fight the good fight against jack holes such as yourself. So, what does this all mean Ron? It means that I would have never ever in a million years thought twice to pay the extra $15 to get out of your store, be on my way and get on with my law school exam life if $25 was what was actually said when I called after my exam and your PC wouldn't connect, and you weren't the hustlers that you are. Nor would I have come home and spent the time and energy during my final exams if it weren't true. "Illogical" really is a great namesake for you. You had no such "non-refundable policy" sign on your wall nor on your receipt and if that was true, you would have sent me packing and stuck me for the whole amount without batting an eye. I'm sure you have added a sign since you read this review, and your new, no-refund "too bad, so sad" policy gives people even more reason not to patronize your business. The people reading this will be able to comprehend that a 10 day rental for $95 rounds up to $10 a day. I'm also glad you can admit what a craptastic business owner you are to charge someone who couldn't get your PC to work before an exam and for the very reason they rented it. It was asshatish, yet not entirely unreasonable for your liar guy to tell me it would be $10 if he could get your PC to connect to your server at Everything Computers after I couldn't connect to the schools server, but thanks for telling the whole world you charged me $25. That leaves no doubt in anyone's mind as to your asshatishness that you actually charged me anything without even discussing the extra you padded on for my trouble once I got there. Maybe I should have asked the law school admin if I could take the final exam at Everything Computers since your PC's connect just fine there. You thought you saw me coming and going and didn't realize that I would let the rest of the unsuspecting world know how you roll. Thankfully, it doesn't take me 3 months to form simple sentences. If you want to post another story, I will be done with law school in 3 months and I'll have the time to respond to your 3 month masterpiece then as well. Really torn in that the two times I've dropped off sick PC CPUs here they haven't made anything worse -- which is a big deal in this segment. But at the same time I think their service could be much, much better especially at the prices they charge. First the important thing to know is that I'm not a tech but I've been in hand-to- hand combat with funky software and hardware for decades. But sometimes you don't have the time to fix stuff. Hence the time a case had a power supply go bad a couple years ago, it was worth it to me to run it 5 min up the road to have these guys swap it out. So when a balky 6-7 year old drive finally stopped booting the other day same deal. It didn't seem like the drive was physically trashed but I knew replacing it was probably the cheapest and easiest solution. That's where we left it when we dropped it off along with the understanding they'd try to recover data files from the old drive. (I had a backup which probably not 100% up to date so I wanted anything I could get in case.) Initial updates on cloning efforts were not good and even with promise of further recovery efforts ahead, I wasn't real optimistic. Sure enough when I went to pick up the CPU I was told the data was gone and the drive trash. OK. But where was the old drive? Guy disappears to retrieve it -- clearly if I hadn't asked for it I would not have left with it. My 20% off Yelp coupon dropped the total down to $180 for a new 1TB drive, a Win reinstall, and a cleaning. OK but not great, especially considering "cleaning" is $15 for minutes of compressed air blasts. More troubling was the old drive issue. I should not have had to ask for it. Period. Sometimes you can bring drives back from the dead in new external cases -- which is exactly what I add done in the past with other "failed" drives. So I went to MicroCenter for a $20 external case, popped the old drive, plugged it in and hoped for the best. Sure enough, files were there, readable, and as far as I could discern, not corrupted. Hmmm. Even though I went back by the store afterward to find out what recovery they had attempted, I am still not real clear what happened. I used no recovery tools and yet the data files were there -- maybe the drive was no longer Windows bootable in a bad sector, but that is why we re-installed Windows on a new drive. The data files were elsewhere. So I'm left with a really weird review -- if you are short on time, understand pooters pretty well, have a coupon, and live nearby, give these guys a go. Otherwise, I can't really suggest them as a solution. But the truth is -- in East Cobb, they are not hurting for biz among the more money than sense crowd. read more

I had my desktop computer refurbished by Everything Computers. After a week I noticed the system locking up every day. So I took my system into their shop. Within 20 minutes, Ron not only isolated my problem (a legacy issue involving a wireless card from my original Dell purchase 8 years ago), he also answered many other questions I had in impeccable insight. That 20-30 minutes was the best computer-related service I have ever had. If I could give a rating of 10...I would. My advice if you are reading this....make sure you get to know these guys. We hadn't been able to get one of our computers connected to the Internet so we brought it in today. The employee there walked us through the process to remove a block that we were unaware of. If you buy anything from my O.R. Scrub wearing friends be ABSOLUTELY certain that you have done your homework. I bought an admittedly cheap laptop from them. I explained to the salesman that I only needed it to run Excel. He had the perfect machine for me! The only problem was that the os on the laptop was Vista. You see Microsoft is only selling 365 now, and Vista will not support 366. This of course made the machine useless to me. When I returned it they charged me a 15% "restock fee". They got my tablet working but told me they would load with windows 10. It didn't have 8.8. I had to load the rest. Also, my notebook freezes about every day, especially the blue screen that shuts down your computer for "Internal errors." I have lost a lot of work and time with these malfunctions. read more
