CRU replaced the fan in my ASUS ROG laptop. I use it for day-trading and it drives 3 monitors plus the laptop monitor. The laptop is awesome with 64GB Ram and 4TB SSD. I mention this only because this laptop runs 24/7 with heavy graphics and processing demand. This requires all the cooling it can get. After glowing reviews from the Marietta City Neighborhood Group on Facebook, I gave Damien a call to see if he thought my teen's phone could be repaired. Upon arrival, Damien looked over the iPhone and gave me some options on replacement glass. I went with the middle option which cost $125. He warned the facial recognition portion may no longer work and he could not repair that portion. I was quoted a reasonable same day timeframe even though Damien mentioned they "were a bit backed up". I went down the street to get a pedicure to waste some time. When I returned the iPhone was ready. I purchased a new case for my teens phone for $20 and it came with a complimentary screen protector, which Damien applied before I left. My teen was thrilled to have her iPhone repaired so quickly (and more thrilled she isn't having to buy herself a new phone). She was able to test the facial recognition and to our surprise it still works! In most reviews I say 'can't wait to go back' and that doesn't apply here. I purchased a refurbished iPad Pro from Amazon. I love the tablet except that the battery only lasted for 1 hour. I took my tablet to Computers R Us to which they ordered the battery and replaced it lickety split when it arrived. As a professional musician, I use my tablet to play soundtracks but at my next gig, the audio jack did not work. Question: Did I do something to my tablet that caused it not to work? Answer: Not conclusive. Question: Did something happen during the repair process that caused the problem: Answer: Not conclusive. What IS conclusive, is that they promptly took my iPad Pro and repaired it at no charge...lickety split! I asked them to bill me for a bench fee to share in the cost of the additional repair. They refused. I mentioned that I myself am a small business owner and that I understand the costs associated with return repairs and nicely insisted that I pay something. They nicely refused. I want to not give this hack shop any stars but can't in order to leave a review. I took my son phone to this place a couple years to be fixed. I paid whatever the price was and left with the phone fixed. My son phone was damaged not even a week later and was told no warranty. Not pleased at all. Unaware that my daughter took her computer to be fixed by them. Left with it fixed. However the same issues happened where the screen isn't cracked but it glitches and the screen is funky. My daughter didn't know the computer. So now after being repaired by this place was told anything that you place on top of the computer or inside and attempt to close could have done this. Funny thing is I have the exact laptop and actually do close items inside as I move it from location to location as well as place objects even hot coffee on top while carrying and nothing has happened to mine. So after two separate items were allegedly fixed at this location and had the same issues. I want to say the techs that work here either don't know what they are doing or are putting products that are faulty. I wouldn't recommend this business at all. It is better to pay the extra dollars to her fixed at the name of the company that you purchased the product. I will be taking it to Apple for repair and if there is anything inside that isn't or wasn't applied correctly my lawyer will be sending this establishment a letter on intent. These guys may know their way around hardware but they ARE NOT very knowledgeable with OS X software. I took my laptop to them after the most recent OS X update (High Seirra) failed partway through installation, a problem many people seem to be having. The ONLY reason I took my computer to them was because my last Time Machine back up was one year old and I did not want to lose my recent data. I asked them to back up my data and either resume the High Seirra update or simply re-install it. I was hoping that because they had so many positive reviews they might even know how to resume the High Seirra upgrade and get my computer back to me in no time. I was wrong. Every few days I would call to check the status of my laptop and they would try to tell me that the RAM was failing. Ultimately they stated that the MOTHERBOARD was bad and that they could do nothing to fix my computer. They claimed they could not reinstall Sierra at all. They said I would need to sell the computer for parts and get a new one. Three weeks later I have my computer back. We went into Disk Utility ourselves and ran the old Time Machine back up from one year ago. We then upgraded from Seirra to High Seirra again and VIOLA! The computer is perfectly fine and we did it all by ourselves in less than an hour. I don't understand how this company has so many positive reviews and yet they can't do a simple data back-up and fresh re-install of OS X. (Remember, they claimed OS X would not reinstall at all on my computer! I should sell it for parts! The motherboard is completely bad.) And yet here I am, on said laptop three weeks later, after I ran a simple Time Machine back up and re-initiated the High Seirra upgrade myself which worked just fine the second time around. Now I'm out $100 dollars from this company (they were going to charge $200), three weeks usage of my laptop, and have to cancel a $900 order I placed for a new MacBook on eBay, because I believed these guys knew what they were talking about when I left my laptop with them. In the month before I had it repaired, I took hundreds of pictures, never once did my camera malfunction. They ended up replacing the camera, now my pictures are washed out, which they were not before. I'm pretty sure they used some cheap camera instead of buying the OEM replacement camera( if that's even possible). I had heard this shop mentioned on Facebook as "the place to go to" for phone and/or computer repair. I had a phone with a cracked camera lens and thought I would check them out. Called Damien for an appointment and was told just to drop in at my convenience. I dropped off the phone and asked for a guesstimate on repair time so I would know how long wander aimlessly. Justin told me 15-20 minutes. Not the 2-3 hours I had expected! I went to a nearby shopping center and came back in an hour to find that they had finished the repair and cleaned the phone. This place is a hidden gem in our Kennesaw community. My Galaxy S7 curve charging port went out and I was almost stuck until I googled Computers R us. I went to another fix it place a few days prior and they told me it was not fixable and that they would do more damage than good. I called and spoke with Damien and he said he had the part and could do it that day within a couple of hours. Minutes later I showed up to a well kept store with a lot of unique and interesting items to view. He said he will have it same day and he definitely did that.
