Came in to get a mystic spray tan before my man comes home from deployment and was so bummed to find out its down at this location! But not to fear! The VersaSpa is a fitting alternative that they offer at no extra cost obviously to replace their not working mystic tanner. Caitlyn and Megan warmly greeted me and Caitlyn walked me through all the positions for the VersaSpa because let me tell you, it's quite different than the Mystic. Very glad she was patient and knowledgable and demonstrated how to position myself in the VersaSpa. She also offered up an enhancer to lengthen the life of the spray tan that was comparable to the mystic tan enhancer and gave me the 15% off for checking in on Yelp which was great. The tanner was easy to use but hard to hear so definitely have someone walk you through it if it's your first time or you need a refresher. Just very happy with my experience here! If I could I would give this place 2.5 stars, but to remain positive I will go with 3. First off the service was good but not great. Staff was friendly, and did what was expected but didn't do anything special. The place was a mess due to the remodel, but will not fault them for that since it was my choice to visit them during the remodel. What I did not like was the level one bed. It was super low to the ground so I had to crawl in and out of it. Also, it was very claustrophobic. It was a new bed which was nice, but the top closes completely on you almost to the point of touching your chest. Making you feel like your in a small tube. Did not like this. Thus I am only giving 3 stars since it was an average experience. I will probably go back in a month to give them another chance, but as of now I will stick with the La Costa location. read more

This location is great! There has been 2 instances where something happened with my account; one where my "roll over" spray tans were not populating on my account and another where I was charged twice for an island bronze add in. The salon director noticed I was charged twice even though I was completely unaware and she rectified the situation with my roll over tans as well. Also i never have to wait long to use the Mystic. I'm in and out in like 20 minutes. A+ service all the way! They are also so sweet and nice to deal with! Come to this location if customer service is important to you. read more

First time at this location. Service was ok. The "extra" they ask for you to add on your spray tans didn't work, so I wouldn't do all that. The reason why I'm leaving a review is because I felt it wasn't very clean as the other locations. The machine I used was in poor condition and not maintained. When you get an service you should feel comfortable and enjoy it and let's just say I didn't even want to take my shoes off in the room. Management quickly resolved the issue and made an effort to make up for it, which says a lot to me. I will be back to try their services out again soon. Would have loved to write a review on how well their service was but they turned me away. When I walked in the front door, the first thing I heard was "Name?", no friendly welcome of any kind. It was my first time getting a spray tan and I told this to the young girl at the desk. When I asked a question about the difference between the services she became annoyed and made me feel very stupid. Once I decided on which service I wanted, she asked me for my ID. I had called ahead of time and told them that my purse was stolen and that I only had a picture and physical photo copy of both sides of my identification available. (Mind you my mother accompanied me and had an ID with the same last name and address as mine to verify who I was.) For this reason, I called the day before and was told that a copy of my ID would suffice but once I arrived i was told differently. She very rudely said that it was their "standard policy" and there was nothing she could do. Now I completely understand policies, and that's not where my problem is. The problem I have is the lack of customer service and the way I was spoken to. I chose to give them two stars because I cannot speak on the quality of their service, but the lack of it. I just want to start out by saying that I use to work at a tanning bed and I understand the basics of how a tanning salon operates. My friends and I went into ITAN today super excited and hopeful that we had found our new tanning place. The girls at the front desk were short, rude, and not helpful. It seemed like we were a bother to them for using THEIR business. We asked about the promotion online that states new customers could tan for 7 days for 7 dollars. They said because we didn't have local addresses we didn't qualify... We said, we live on base, we have local addresses we just kept our home state IDs. The dark haired girl working very rudely stated that because we didn't mention that when we walked in, we were already put in the system as "out of town" residents and she couldn't change it. Are you kidding?? You can easily edit someone's address in your system. We wanted to try out the different beds so we could decide if we want a membership here ???? Decision made. You just lost three potential customers and none of us will recommend your business. SOO disappointed. read more

Going to iTan not only cheered me up, but completely gave me a new groove! My 1st time there I took advantage of the Hydration station, custom tanning bed, and spray tan! I felt like a new woman... My skin was so soft afterwards! My second time there, I brought a friend. She said that it was a perfect day and that she's glad she went. I'm on a monthly payment plan, at the end of April I switched banks and went out of town in May, I didn't tan one single time in May, which I was fine with because I hadn't paid for the month. I came in today, May 28, (my freakin birthday) and Emily charged my card for the full month of May and told me I will be charged again the full amount June 1st for the month of June. I was like NOooo please refund me and I'll just wait til June to pay for that month and skip may all together. Apparently the employees do not have the ability to refund a card. (bullshit?) Whatever, there was no manager available and the only thing I could do was wait for her to notify corporate but they probably wouldn't do anything. Here's the deal, I understand store policies and all that but this girl wasn't supportive or even nice she was condescending and made me feel retarded. Why wouldn't she have said something like 'hey you're $65.00 payment is only going to be good for 4 days," Maybe if she would have acted like she was genuinely concerned and would actually try to help or figure out the situation I wouldn't have changed my review.. but no. Since I've paid for my 'month' I guess I'm going tanning every single day for the next 3 days but after that I won't be back. I've canceled my membership. Before I review, might I add that this was my first time at iTan. I've never tanned at a salon before, only at the beach and at home so this was a new experience for me completely. As I walked in I was greeted by two friendly young ladies. I let them know it was my first time and asked for their suggestions as far as services and products. Both women answered all my questions and gave extra helpful information. One of the girls gave me detailed information on many products I could use to start off and gradually ease into.. Neither of the ladies pushed me to buy a package or any of their products to a point of discomfort! They were actually very helpful and open minded about whatever I decided. This Salon was a good size, not awkwardly quiet (there was soothing music playing in the background), very neat and clean! The staff was welcoming and helpful until I walked out the door. I had a good experience for my first time so I did end up purchasing a monthly unlimited. Although I don't have anywhere to compare this place to, I think the price was pretty good for the services I'm free to use included in my package. I'm looking forward to tanning at iTan very frequently and I'll review as I go... I recommend this place for anyone who wants a relaxing comfortable tanning experience! Oh! Almost forgot... While I was discussing lotions with one of the ladies working there, a man walked in who already seemed very disgruntled..The woman at the counter asked for his check-in information and due to an error she wasn't able to locate him. The man got very upset and started flailing his arms and yelling at the woman threatening to report and cancel his account at iTan due to his name not being found in the system. The woman remained calm cool and collected through this mans temper tantrum :) She politely explained that the system is very busy and specific and that perhaps he might've been under a different name or address, once the man thought for a second, he realized how dumb and crazy he looked..he had given her the wrong address to look up and had blamed her for the confusion.. I tan here a couple days a week. I use to go everyday but my hectic schedule only allows me to fit in two sessions a week. It's probably better for my skin that way. I always shoot for the level 5. I feel like it really keeps my tan golden brown. I feel they are a little too pricey but what are ya gunna do? The staff is always helpful and friendly and the salon is clean for the most part.
