Oakley : an often misunderstood brand with a passionate following…read more This store is great to see 'all things Oakley' and to buy them Now, a lot of people think Oakley makes just sunglasses. Although they do make some of the best and most cutting edge, they make a lot more. And everything else they make has the same level of engineering, design and quality in it that the sunglasses do. A Great example of this is the watches (and I do own 7 of them). People look at them and say " wow, so expensive, just because it says Oakley'. Well, expensive (which is relative when it comes to watches) do to engineering and design and constructions. Sapphire crystal faces that are scratch proof, swiss made, jewel like movement and 32,000 adjustments a second (A rolex uses 24,000 movements). They are over engineered and have very unique styling. They will last you a lifetime and you will rarely see another one like it. Leaps and bounds ahead of the likes of Citizen, and on par (if not better) than Tag... So now that this review is starting to seem like a review of Oakley, and not this store, I will switch over a little. This store has everything. Only about 20% of what is in there are sunglasses, but they have it all, including spare parts, spare lenses, etc for your current glasses. They have clothes, luggage, accessories, bags and more. Go in and check it out. Backpacks for school. Yes, may be $85... but I have had one for 12 years now. no Jansport can claim that. The staff is friendly and very helpful. they explain everything if you dont understand it. I even went in with two sets of glasses one day (Jawbones, which have a pivoting frame to change lenses), and they took them apart, cleaned them, made sure they were working fine, all at no cost. Much more than just sunglasses, Oakley as a whole offers unique styling, as you are now seeing on everyone from pro golfers to Olympic athletes. Go check them out. For golf shoes, for suitcases, for bathing suits and more. You will be pleasantly surprised when you walk in the store, at the staff, at the selection, and at the overall quality of everything they design, engineer and sell.

Being environmentally conscious I figured that would be better than printing one. Well I never got my receipt but I am getting about 5 spam emails a week from Oakley now. There is literally no way to unsubscribe. You can't do it online. You can't do it via email. They say you can do it by phone but the spam emails don't stop coming. This has been going on for 2 months now. I've reported them to spam@uce.gov but no luck so far. Do not give these guys your email address. There's no way to get them to leave you alone if you do. @Oakley, if you want this review to go away, just remove me from your spam list. I beg you. That's all you have to do.

They're friendly, the place is clean and they were quick with results. Highly recommend this place for eye exams. This review is for the Chestnut hill location Appalling…read moremoney grabbing scheme We came in to get our glasses upgraded to a new prescription , 2 for my daughter and 3 for me . We started out with my daughter's prescription and the frames we already have . They had our insurance information (VSP signature) All we needed was basic lenses for her school -1.00 polycarbonates R &L , nothing fancy put into new frames we just bought abroad. The optometrist wrote a whole bunch of things on his pad which amounted to a over 500$ - and it would take 14+ days at least because it's VSP . Now mind you this is not my first time getting glasses and we always bought frames had exam and had our glasses made for under 100-200$ with our insurance. This time we did not even need frames or exam !! I asked about what savings are there with VSP and he answered that it's like a coupon , they give discounts for add ons But the price of over 500$ without frames or exam for basic lenses for simple myopia sounded ludicrous. Description as follows Frame - Patient Frame Lens R/L- Any Single Vision (Lab Choice) - 80$ each Crizal ROCK with UV (AR Coating D) 205$ Custom Measurements & Edge SV 60$ Grooved 50$ SV scratch & warranty service 33$ And I was told this is the basic stuff , first off Crizal Rock is not basic and with my insurance should have been about 50$ if covered at all The coating is already scratch resistant so $33 was just double charge for same thing on top of 200$ they should not have offered to begin with Now I needed to have 4 more frames done so that would be 2400$ And mind you This was the basic stuff according to them . There was nothing cheaper I called VSP and realize that this EYESPOT are scamming by price gouging and adding totally uncalled for and unnecessary add ons . VSP savings on one prescription ended up being too small and out of pocket cost was close to 300$ for just one simple pair of glasses -1.00 both eyes ! I was outraged I called morning of next day , I said I want to cancel order ASAP , The secretary said that they needed to speak with their optometrist and they will call back They didn't , 2 hours later I called again asking for refund and my frames back , again I was told the same BS to which I replied I will come in person , only then did a manager magically appeared and told the secretary to tell me that it's too late to cancel as they charged the VSP ! I called VSP they said they received nothing and they called the store just to be told it's the store policy that they do not cancel orders even ones placed less than 20 hours prior I made a formal complaint with VSP that I want to go elsewhere and to put stop payment on the claim , which they agreed to Later In the store the manager gave us hassle that they won't refund the FSA for the remaining sum, to which we said we already called FSA to put a stop payment on this "purchase" They refunded FSA only at that point And they had trouble finding the frames we left with them just 20 hours prior, then another BS story about them getting charged by VSP if we are refunded . Followed by a weird sales pitch that they care so much about us they will give us discount at next visit The place is for sad suckers , because it's chestnut hill they know they will get away with anything and seeing how arrogant they are it seems they do It's not the last complaint I ll be filing to get people aware of the scam ***Update 9/11 - manager named Will offered to discuss my "grievances" on the phone , said he wants to understand my frustrations. Make it worth while I responded that I want nothing to do with this business and I spoke to VSP and that I can now go elsewhere to get my glasses. To which he responded that he will write here that my entire description to what occurred is "totally false!" This despite having ( 2 witnesses ) a record of calls , conversations , and documents. And the mere fact that he is even contacting me is evidence that there is something wrong with this entire situation . He mentioned that if I post about this business further I will be liable as I am " threatening the business" which imo deserves even more exposure after this unexpected conversation. There's something extremely wrong when a business privately texts your number instead of simply responding to a review UPDATE # 3 - 9/21 : Clearly "manager" has difficulty with reading comprehension , I never claimed out of pocket cost was 500$. I called VSP because the proposed price seemed outrageous and the OUT OF P COST WAS A PERCENTAGE OF THIS PREPOSTEROUS COST ! The entire response of the "manager" again is a complete lie .THEY REFUSED TO REFUND OUR HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNT UNTILL WE CAME TO THE STORE AND TOLD THEM WE WILL CONTEST THE CHARGE ! STAY AWAY FROM THIS SOREYE! THE ONE STAR REVIEWS ARE SPOT ON . Lastly we went elsewhere & got glasses for 50$ out of pocket cost , that's less than 1/5 the price of this SCAM central

I had an outdated prescription and was hoping to get a quick and easy appointment to get some new contacts and a pair of glasses. I love Warby Parker glasses, and I found out they can also order contacts for you (both shipped free to your house) and they do quick and dirty eye exams, which was fine for my purposes. When I arrived, they asked if I had insurance, double-checked my coverage before providing any services, and had me in the back all within a few minutes. Is this a fancy and thorough exam? No. If you want or need a full exam with dilation, go to an ophthalmologist. In general, I would recommend that as well, so this rating is not going off how thorough the exam is -- it's just not going to be thorough if you go somewhere like Warby Parker. That said, they explained everything relatively thoroughly, and turns out my prescription was the same (cool). The optometrist answered my questions, checked in at each point during the exam to ask if I had follow-ups, and explained everything as we went along. I got some free contacts and then went back to the front to look at eyeglass frames. The woman who helped me look at frames was friendly and helpful. She led me directly to what I initially wanted (knew exactly where the frames were), and had a great suggestion when the frames I was interested in didn't have the pattern I liked in the width I wanted. It took a few minutes to wait for someone to come over to check how the frames would need to be adjusted for my face, but they arrived to my house PERFECT. I was thrilled. At checkout I did need to state I had insurance again, but that's fine, this was a different person. She ran a few things through for me to figure out how to get the best price on the glasses and contacts. Everything arrived in the mail within a week. Am I regularly going to get eye exams here? No. Does it get the job done? Yes. They go quickly, but they also aren't doing that much. I didn't feel rushed, just that they were efficient. The people working in the store were all friendly, and were all helping people throughout the time I was in there. Maybe their staff has turned over since the terrible reviews last year, but I'd give this store a chance again in the future for sure, 100% for new frames since it's the closest location to me. Thanks WP!

I expected the company to stand behind the quality of its product, especially considering the glasses weren't even a year old. The manager told me I was two months too late for them to do anything about it. What was even more disappointing was the customer service. Before could even respond or ask what options I had, the manager turned his attention to another customer and completely disregarded me. Warby Parker may sell relatively inexpensive glasses, but in my experience, the lower price comes with poor quality and even worse customer service. Glasses advertised as scratch-resistant should last longer than eight months, and regardless of warranty policies, a customer deserves to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. Very disappointing experience. I will be taking my business elsewhere.
