The servers and service here is lovely! They're so patient and friendly! This was my first time here and was seated right away for dinner on a weekday. There was a HAPPY HOUR FOOD menu and we took advantage of that and ordered the Momo's (dumplings) and the ribs, and both were delicious!! We got the butter chicken with rice and it was creamy and delicious !! The restaurant has plenty of open space and restrooms were pretty clean. The hard part was parking as street parking isn't so easy around here and there's no lot. Storefront parking could also be difficult during busy hours as it is a busy street. I'd definitely come back for the food and service!!

4.5 stars They cook with olive oil & canola. Nice place, got there in time for happy hour (3-6) and got a cocktail & mocktail, veggie momos & chicken momos. Both delish. We had chicken sekuwa which was amazing & chicken chow mein also yummy. I like the Nepalese style of chow mein, good amount of veggies (broccoli, carrot, a few green peppers) & spices & small well cooked pieces of chicken. Too full for dessert but we will be back. Service was very good.

This restaurant is quite spacious once you enter. We received complimentary lentil soup! The steamed momos were alright. If you dip them in the sauce they really tasted better. The chicken chow mein was a bit different from Chinese style but I did thoroughly enjoy it......really full of color. The chicken tikka masala wasn't bad. They use chicken breast. I prefer thighs but perhaps the breast is more traditional. The pharsi chana is reminded me of a vegetarian curry but was pleasantly surprised by the taste. The garlic naan was good. Service was fine. It's interesting how Nepali / Indian food can differ from restaurants. This place is worth revisiting.

Cute space, delicious food, and friendly service. If that wasn't enough, they also have a great happy hour with both food and drink specials! We liked everything we tried.

This is my go to place for a good meal and great service. I took my mom for lunch and the food is really good as usual and the place is always clean. We tried the lemon ginger tea and it was really good! We love the garlic naan. Yummy. Thank you Everest kitchen for keeping good quality and delicious food!

While searching Yelp for a new restaurant to try out, my wife discovered Everest Kitchen on Solano. One of our other favorite Himalayan/Nepalese restaurants is also located on Solano, so we were eager to see if Everest would be comparable. Upon walking in, the establishment is quite modern, spacious, and has capacity for quite a few tables. The handful of times that we've been here however, we've yet to see it at max capacity. They also have a bar for additional seating options. One of our favorite things here so far is the Garlic Naan. Everest does an amazing job of making naan that is light, fluffy, and crispy. Do NOT make the mistake of coming to Everest and not ordering the garlic naan! On a flip note, we were not as big of a fan of the wheat naan. Other favorites include: Butter Chicken (Creamy Curry): A moist, delicious chicken thigh simmered in a creamy onion and tomato-based sauce. Served with a side of rice. Salon Tikka Masala (Creamy Curry) Service here is extremely friendly and very consistent. They'll always make sure to stop by your table to check on your meal and if they need to clear any plates. And they'll help you box up any leftovers you may have at the end as well. Parking is available for free at the street level. It gets pretty busy on Solano, so I recommend the side streets if you can't find parking directly on Solano itself.

We got the veg samosa to go. It was almost 9$ for two samosas. While the samosas looked fresh and homemade, they lacked flavor. The inside was mainly mashed. The sauces (mint and tamarind) also severely lacked flavor. Even salt would have been nice. For the mint it felt like I was just adding water to my samosa. The samosas are 2-3$ more expensive than nearby stores so I suggest you get them there. We got these to go but the store was very beautiful in the inside and the staff was kind.

Quite empty when we walked in but the treat we were about to get was amazing! Service was very friendly yet not in your face, I like that Started with Samosa Chaat which had a great mix of flavours and textures. For three people this was a great starter. We got garlic naans for our two curries and their flavour and texture was banging, perfect mix of form vs buckling under the curry sauces, regardless of your choice of hands or cutlery, a solid pick And that's not even the curries! The saag paneer was made with a wonderful thickness, and also was not overloaded with cheese so a great balance. The Goat curry was CRAZY. The only downside for me was that it was not as thick as I would have liked, closer to consistency of water. We got spicy level for both of these and I can take spice. Only the goat curry has a noticeable spice level, both very manageable. I WILL be back, super solid and more on the menu to try!

Came here for happy hour and it did not disappoint! I favor a vegan diet and they had numerous options. The staff were friendly, professional, attentive. The place is clean and modern. I enjoyed the music ( contemporary jazz cover band music) the food was delicious and offered my preferred medium heat. I would highly recommend this place if you like Napoli/Indian food. This would be a cute place for date night.

Great food, amazing service! GREAT FOOD QUALITY. Me and my friends really enjoy the vibes that this restaurant has to offer and obviously the food. My favorite dish here is the chili chicken momo, definitely a 10/10 in my book.

Parking on Solano is challenging especially @ lunch. New location, spacious, light & airy, attractive bar ! Very good selection of thali / lunch specials served on a metal tray, every compartment full plus naan & papadam on top ! Also choice of white or brown rice ! Server was helpful & attentive, flexible in creating thali inclusive lunch selections that were not on the menu ! Many vegan selections, always a plus for me ! Delicious steamed veggie dumplings came w/ yummy dipping sauce ! Tasty & filling !

One of my favorite Nepali spots in the bay area for overall quality, price, and service! It's very reliable and has a great variety of classic Nepali dishes. One of those spots that you can keep going back to. I love the soup on their jhol momo, the garlic naan has the perfect bite, and it's so nice to get flavors that remind me of my parents' home cooked meals. Great for going in person or ordering via delivery as well.

    Joseph T.

Everest now has Happy Hour and in my opinion, one of the best around! 3p-6p, 7 days a week and they have a wonderful menu to order small plates. The cocktails were great! We ordered an Nepal Old Fashioned and Farallon which was a gin drink. All the plates were absolutely delicious and my ultimate fav was the Pani Puri. A shell filled with spicy potatoes and chickpeas sits atop of a shot glass of spicy water. Pour the water into the shell, enjoy all the flavors and repeat. There's outdoor and indoor table service available. The crew here is wonderful and friendly. We've never experienced bad service here. Being this place is on Solano, it's a perfect place to people watch! Try the Happy Hour!! I know we'll be back for more!

We were seated immediately and didn't need to look at the menu too long before we ordered. We decided on pani puri and veggie samosas for apps and tikka masala and butter chicken, rice and garlic naan. I ordered a vegan mango lassi and him a regular mango lassi. The pani puri was ok. I like the crispy, but I wasn't too fond of the filling to be chilled. It also had a slight sweetness to it and it wasn't my favorite. I've had it before, but I don't remember it being chilled on the inside, but what I do like about it what is that? It has a crispy shell when you bite into it. The veggie samosas were my favorites. The butter chicken was kind of bland as well as the tikka masala. It did not stop me from finishing my garlic naan with our dishes but I found myself wishing it was more flavorful. My vegan mango lassi had a taste that I wasn't too fond of and didn't finish it. At the end of the meal, it was more than $100 and that was sticker shock for me. I don't think I'm returning, but the service is friendly.

A really family-friendly spot, you'll usually see folks enjoying a casual meal together, giving the…read morewhole place a relaxed, welcoming vibe. The food is consistently on point. The chicken tikka masala is a classic and definitely worth getting; it's flavorful and reliably good every time. But what really surprised me was the shrimp curry. I went in expecting the shrimp to be a bit overcooked or limited in quantity, but that wasn't the case at all. The shrimp were actually cooked really well and there was a generous amount in the dish, making it feel like a great value. One thing to keep in mind, rice doesn't automatically come with the curries, so you'll have to order it separately if you want it. That said, we usually skip the rice and go for naan instead, specifically the potato naan and garlic naan. Between the two, you get a really nice contrast in texture. The potato naan is thicker, soft, and fluffy on the inside, almost like a comforting, filled bread, while the garlic naan is thinner with a slightly crispy edge. Make sure not to sleep on the free chai tea, it's easy to miss if you're not looking for it. Off to the right of the cashier desk, there's a little self-serve station with cups, sugar packets, stir sticks, and a large container filled with hot chai. You can pour as much as you want, whenever you want, which is a nice touch and a great way to round out the meal. One thing to note about the atmosphere: there are occasional slow periods where the place can get really quiet, and you might even find yourself as the only table there. It can feel a little awkward in those moments, but it just depends on the time of day. When it's busy, though, it has a much more lively, energetic feel. Overall, it's a solid, low-key spot with good food, a family-friendly environment, and a few nice little perks that make it stand out.

The Tenali Kura (paneer) claimed to be a 2/5 spice level, and I assure you it was NOT. I have been trying to follow an acid reflux diet, which is supposed to be minimal/no spices. I figured 2/5 would be okay- maybe some warmth, but surely on the mild side. I was wrong. After 2 bites, I felt like my lips were starting to puff up and my mouth was salivating more to deal with the spice. I felt so confused, I had to ask the owner "Is this a 2/5 Indian spicy? Or regular?" and she laughed. She said "If it were up to me, I would say it's 4/5 spicy. My husband said it was a 2/5 so that's what he put on the menu." Honestly my mouth was so numb, I can't even comment on the flavor of the food. I would love a new menu based on the wife's judgement of spice level. On a different day, I had the butter chicken and rice, and it was excellent. I would consider going back but not for the tenali kura. The staff were all friendly and great, and there's a cute mural on the wall. The outdoor area seems like it'd be a great on a hot sunny day too.

I love the lentil soup that came on the side. The table shared sev puri and the batata puri and both were really good. I think I liked the batata puri better. Its texture is similar to a hummus but with a lot more flavor. The cashier and the people at the pick up counter were all friendly. Patient especially with that many people waiting and asking if it's their dish or not. This was a new way to enjoy Indian food and I would come back to try more of the menu.
