I was very disappointed with this location. The place immediately smelled like sewage as soon as I walked in and looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months. I should have just left because the frozen fruit with fruit flies everywhere was very unappealing. One of my favorite açaí places! They have great "bases" and the fact that you can add additional toppings, free of charge might I add, makes all the difference. Whenever I have an açaí craving, Everbowl is definitely one of my top choices. The only reason I would give it a 4 out of 5 stars is the cost and the lack of calorie count. $9 For an açaí bowl seems a little steep, but I have to say that the free-of-charge additional toppings make up for it. On the other hand, the lack of calorie or specific nutrition facts make my wonder how much "natural" or artificial sugar I am consuming. As açaí is typically a "healthy" food, I don't want to ruin it by adding 10g or more of sugar on top to make a smoothie. Other than that, great place and I would highly recommend! read more

Fantastic location with a decent amount of parking, you can swing by here before a trip to Lazy Acres to treat yourself for doing some healthy grocery shopping. As with the other Everbowl locations, the staff here is wonderful. The customizations you can make to your bowl are what makes them stand out, along with the availability of tons of toppings, superfoods, and bases to work into your favorite bowl. Just wow. Best Acai bowl I've ever had! The chia pudding was perfect. I wish I ordered double chia! The granola, fresh fruit, and matcha went perfectly together too! I also like how they have grapes as a topping! It would be perfect if they had mangoes! All of the fruit was cut in tiny pieces which made it much more appetizing! Not happy with Everbowl 2.0. I've been coming here the past year about once every few weeks. I often craved it. It was my favorite acai bowl place in the area because you could customize the bases and heap on a variety of toppings. Nothing was pre-blended, never too sweet or had any added sugar. I loved the "chewy" bowl. Now after the recent changes, the bases come pre-packaged that are not customizable. The acai is now overly sweet, almost sorbet like. Taste like sugar has been added. They've also cut down on the number of toppings and have and raised the prices on the bowls. I totally understand they are probably trying to cut down on overhead/costs, but now they have changed what has made them previously stand out in the crowd. I would happily pay a few dollars more per bowl to maintain their original quality product. Bring back the original Everbowl! read more

Everbowl 2.0=. My family and I have gone to Everbowl every Saturday morning since they opened here in Encinitas and have LOVED it. We came in today and instead of the usual unsweetened custom açaí bowls, they have changed into a sorbet store. They give you less product, charge you $3 more, and have taken away a lot of fruits. You can not customize what goes into the bowls and the base is so sweet. We used to love Everbowl for it's healthy, custom bowls but now we won't be returning. Really good açaí! My bowl was very nicely made. I really enjoyed the almond butter being put along the sides of the bowl rather the top so that I could enjoy it with the açaí as I continued eating. Really fresh fruit and good options for toppings. Only small issue was that I had some tiny ice chunks/unblended açaí at the bottom when I was almost done, but overall very good quality! read more

Sad to say I won't be back unless they go back to the way they were. I loved being able to customize the base and toppings. They had a great variety of suggested bowls as well. Everything was so fresh and clean tasting. I didn't mind waiting a few minutes while they blended everything fresh. It wasn't cheap, but it was worth it. Now they only use pre-made bases which are absolutely awful. Either way too sweet or really bland. Sure, you can add different fruit as toppings, but that doesn't do any good if the base is terrible. Brian reached out to me immediately after my first review and with that kind of a response, how could I not come back in?! The young woman who helped me pick out my bowl today did a great job at making suggestions and was very friendly. For me that's always a huge plus. I got the colada bowl but opted out of the granola since it's made with canola oil and right now I am avoiding canola oil. I was pleased to learn that none of their ingredients have added sugar- not even the shaved coconut that was used on my bowl. Hooray for that! My bowl was very tasty, though admittedly, didn't taste much like a colada even though I topped it with pineapple and extra coconut. Next time I might skip the strawberries and opt for all pineapple. I'm looking forward to coming back to try the date and peanut butter bowl- but because this place doesn't have a restroom, I'll just be taking it to go. I did notice the lid to my bowl was recyclable but I'm not sure about the bowl itself. I didn't see the recycle icon on the bottom. It's definitely reusable though so that helps.
