Stopped here on Sunday morning after picking up my dog from PetSmart a few doors down. It was really nice to be able to walk into the store with my little dog and order our smoothies along with waiting outside in the nice seating area. We ordered an açai energy smoothie along with the hookshot. The smoothies were delicious and filled us up for many hours that day. We also found out this location is family run and had such a pleasant experience when we stopped in with the owner providing amazing service. I typically love the juice stop. I normally get the Golazo and it is normally a great drink to enjoy on a hot day unfortunately today I got my drink. And as I'm sipping it I feel this small hair like thing in my mouth only to realize it's a small piece of plastic and I've been ingesting a bunch of plastic from this smoothie shop for who knows how long. It was just okay. They didn't have the exact flavors I wanted, but I found something to try. There was only one person working, luckily I came when it was not busy, but a few people showed after me. The smoothie I ordered was okay, strawberry and banana. But nothing to rave about. It's in a shopping area near a Barnes & Noble, Stater Bros grocery store, Dick's Sporting Goods and down the street from Target. There were no inside tables or chairs, just outside. Tried this place for the first time. I was craving a juice so I chose Hello Sunshine. It tasted healthy mainly because of the spinach and kale in the ingredients but it was like my body was craving it. The girl who made it for me was nice and when I asked her how long the place had been in business she said "at least a couple of years" ... then I come to the Yelp page and see lots of reviews from a decade plus years ago. We drove all the way to this place from Camp Pendleton for a shake. We ordered an Ollie shake. In the description it says "Milk of Choice, Nonfat Vanilla Yogurt, Peanut or Almond Butter, Chocolate, with or without Banana" So I proceeded to order almond milk for milk of choice, almond butter, and the bananas. She up charged me for the almond butter and almond milk because that's not 'how it comes'. Maybe I'm confused, but when it says milk of choice that doesn't mean regular milk and up charge for any other milk usually? When the choice is peanut butter or almond butter why would there be an up charge for almond butter if it says 'or'? We are very disappointed with our visit. Had to run some errands this morning, so I decided to drop in at the Juice Stop in Encinitas. I got there when it opened and one customer was ahead of me. There was one woman managing the store. She took orders, made the drinks and delivered them to the pick up counter. Considering she was working all alone, she did pretty well fulfilling customer orders. I ordered a 16 oz Tumeric Glow veggie juice and a 16 oz Freestyle smoothie. The Tumeric Glow juice had a deep, rich orange color. The taste was slightly sweet with an earthy, lightly spiced flavor. It had a mixture of apple, carrot, orange and kale juices with a dash of tumeric. It was nice to enjoy a healthy drink that tastes good as well. I also ordered a Power Play smoothie for a friend and tried a couple of sips and decided that I would order it on my future visit to Juice Stop. It was sweet and refreshing. Just the type of drink you'd want to order on a hot, summer day. The drink consisted of watermelon juice, blended with raspberries, strawberries, nonfat vanilla yogurt and pineapple sherbet. It's a mouth watering combination and will definitely put you in a tropical mood. I've been on a mission lately to find a good smoothie spot. I was in the area and decided to check this place out. There was only one lady working and she was pretty sweet. Mainly focused on making the orders so if you had questions about the menu may be hard the get a response. As for the smoothie, it was pretty good a little too sweet for me... so next time I would probably ask to not have the passion fruit juice in it as I think that's what made it too sweet for me. Otherwise nice consistency it held its thickness for awhile and didn't turn to juice right away which I liked. So I probably will be back to try some other options out. read more

I am a month away from having had a hip surgery. I pull the walker out of the car and make my way to the front door and they have closed seven minutes early. I am sure that they would rather go home than make three smoothies right before closing. But I am now going to make sure that I let everybody know that this place sucks. And I can't tell you how frustrating it is to be handicapped and to have businesses not work with you. I am so frustrated. I like this little juice bar for the location. Usually, I'm tired about a half hour after following my wife around the Encinitas Town Center while she shops, so I need a nice little does of Vitamin C. Juice Stop doesn't have the bells and whistles of some other smoothie shops in terms decor, but my dad always taught me that what's under the hood is what matters most. They do some pretty fresh juices. I always walk away with a little pick me up, and it's been really flavorful every time. Only note I have is that the V8 option is more beet-based unlike the vegetable that comes in a bottle I'm used to. The texture of the açaí blend is just off and disappointing . The toppings were scarce and the price was high for what you get. I recommend you keep looking for açaí , take a look at northside shack for how an authentic should be made. This is yet another juice shop claiming to understand the art of açaí . My wife has developed an addiction to the Juice Stop, so that means that I've had quite a bit of this place recently. Walking in, it's your standard juice/smoothie place. There's a counter with a bunch of blenders behind some glass and different menus on the wall. The friendly worker person takes your order and you wait while things whir loudly. They've always gotten us our orders pretty quick and they haven't messed anything up (though I don't think I'd know if they did?). I'm a fan of the Palmas and the Anari smoothies. They're tasty and flavorful. I do wish they had a calorie content on the smoothies though. Sometimes those things are deceptively caloric. My wife has gotten some of the acai bowls and been very happy with them. read more

Important! I would like the managers to please see this review, unacceptable service. I would like to say that I've started to become a regular, and I also have worked in the service industry so I understand that mistakes happen and I try to be as understanding as possible, however the treatment I had today at juice stop Encinitas was upsetting. The older woman working there today (November 17) was nice at first, I ordered my usual drink and it tasted completely different, and I usually let things slide if it's a small mistake but it honestly was a completely different drink I paid money for, so I asked nicely if she could make a new one and wanted to check if it was the correct drink, and her attitude and tone of voice was immediately irritated and she told me in a completely disregarding way "you're gonna have to buy a new one I can't do anything about it" so I was still trying to be kind as I was the only one I'm the conversation speaking nicely, and I said that it was fine and I bought another one. I end up paying $20 dollars in total just to get a drink correct, and the second time she made it she seemed to be irritated, and to top it off she made it Incorrect again and I truly don't know if she just didn't want to try or did it out of carelessness, but how can an employee treat a regular with not only attitude but getting their drink wrong twice. Honestly, money at the end of the day does not matter but it's the principle of customer service and carelessness that is an issue. I don't want her to get in trouble, but I do hope management makes some changes with how they treat customers. Apparently when I called to speak to the manager she answered and claimed to be the manager. If she is the manager, then someone else please see this review. read more

The lady that works here every day is so sweet and patient even when there is a long line and she is the only one working. No matter how busy you will always get great smoothies or juices! There is no indoor seating but there is some outside. Most people just take it to go. It's always very clean as well no matter how busy it gets which can be a hard feat! I discovered the location in Carlsbad going for lunch at my new job location across the street- I love this place , the staff and the owner are incredible and will be very forthcoming for any extra requests, and they use real fruit (a large selection to pick from), and actually use unsweetened almond milk which makes a world of a difference so the menu items made with that choice: they are actually not so crazy sweet and unhealthy like at many other juice bars! Menu looked good; person behind counter was not helpful or friendly. Love V8's so tried their rendition. Tasted mostly like beets, and was "eh" tasting but paid nearly six bucks so figured I'd drink anyway, and it was only slightly cool, close to room temperature.
