Came by this Monkee business just after working out. I was craving a berry refreshing recovery drink. After discussing my personal preferences, with the super nice staffer, I ended up opting for the Antioxidant Berry drink. They aren't fooling around with the decor ~~ I love the whimsical, clean, and calming vibe here. Whoohoohoohoohoooo knew this place existed!!! I appreciate healthy & fresh ingredients! *thanks Lucas for making my drink even smoother by "super blending" it for me! It hit the spot!

This was our first visit to Fresh Monkee and we had a great experience. I am very happy to have a healthy shake available in La Costa. I had Antioxidant Berry with creatine and it was deliciously tart. My wife had Blueberry Pie. Family friendly, this place will be great for a quick grab and go or a nice place to relax after a workout at 24 Hour. The staff is pleasant, inviting and respectful. Ambiance is at level 100% - I love the cozy earth-tone , woodsy interior with a cute lounge area to hang! The staff are good people and the service is impeccable. The kind ladies in the front gave us "monkee balls" to sample. Creamy peanut butter covered in chocolate? Why not!? Delicious! Smoothies - freshly made with whole fruit, top tier health foods and low sugar options/sugar alternatives. I had the banana split with shredded unsweetened coconut sprinkled on top - Perfection! But they also offer sweeter options (Nutella, chocolate chips, etc) for those with a little bit of a sweeter tooth. There's truly something for everyone here. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!! What I love the most are the nutrition facts sheets they have for their smoothies by the front counter. I wish this location were closer to home, but that won't stop me from visiting. I'll surely be back but would LOVE to see a new location in North or South OC.

l was out for a week visit from the east coast, and managed to have a shake 5 of the 6 days!!! Tried a different one each day, and it was hard to pick my favorite, but definitely one with chocolate! l also loved the Monkee balls. The store is tastefully decorated, and they have just begun. She up charged me for the almond butter and almond milk because that's not 'how it comes'. Maybe I'm confused, but when it says milk of choice that doesn't mean regular milk and up charge for any other milk usually? When the choice is peanut butter or almond butter why would there be an up charge for almond butter if it says 'or'? We are very disappointed with our visit. Especially for the shakes already costing $12.

DO NOT GO HERE!! SOS GORDON RAMSAY!! This was the most overpriced, disgusting joke of a "protein shake" that I have ever tried. They don't put the prices on the screen because they know that not one sane person is paying that much money for a singular, small, powdery abomination. When I got my drink, I immediately threw it out because it was literally inedible. Spend your money elsewhere!! the ambiance was great to lure you into spending a ridiculous amount of money on damn powder. The servers were also very nice because you're paying their weekly check with how much you're spending on a tiny shake.
