First time here and I was impressed with all the protein shake options - flavors, milk options, and protein powder options (dairy free/vegan)! I ordered the antioxidant berry shake with coconut milk and it was delicious. The woman that took my order was friendly, and it was nice to hang inside with some music and comfy seating. read more

Stopped in on a hot day after taking our dog in for vaccinations at Petco. Though we planned to sit outside, with him they enthusiastically welcomed us and said they love dogs. They even have a paws of fame picture wall. The staff is so friendly and helpful and genuinely kind. We got the orange dream and added strawberries which tasted just like a strawberry Julius. Came by this Monkee business just after working out. I was craving a berry refreshing recovery drink. After discussing my personal preferences, with the super nice staffer, I ended up opting for the Antioxidant Berry drink. This was our first visit to Fresh Monkee and we had a great experience. I am very happy to have a healthy shake available in La Costa. I had Antioxidant Berry with creatine and it was deliciously tart. My wife had Blueberry Pie. Family friendly, this place will be great for a quick grab and go or a nice place to relax after a workout at 24 Hour. The staff is pleasant, inviting and respectful. Excellent guidance to make an informed choice. The Monkee Balls were dynamite. We will be back in just a few days for sure. read more

Ambiance is at level 100% - I love the cozy earth-tone , woodsy interior with a cute lounge area to hang! The staff are good people and the service is impeccable. The kind ladies in the front gave us "monkee balls" to sample. Creamy peanut butter covered in chocolate? Why not!? Delicious! Smoothies - freshly made with whole fruit, top tier health foods and low sugar options/sugar alternatives. I had the banana split with shredded unsweetened coconut sprinkled on top - Perfection! But they also offer sweeter options (Nutella, chocolate chips, etc) for those with a little bit of a sweeter tooth. There's truly something for everyone here. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!! What I love the most are the nutrition facts sheets they have for their smoothies by the front counter. I wish this location were closer to home, but that won't stop me from visiting. I'll surely be back but would LOVE to see a new location in North or South OC. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! SOS GORDON RAMSAY!! This was the most overpriced, disgusting joke of a "protein shake" that I have ever tried. They don't put the prices on the screen because they know that not one sane person is paying that much money for a singular, small, powdery abomination. When I got my drink, I immediately threw it out because it was literally inedible. Spend your money elsewhere!! the ambiance was great to lure you into spending a ridiculous amount of money on damn powder. The servers were also very nice because you're paying their weekly check with how much you're spending on a tiny shake. The 5 star reviews are from crazy soccer moms who have nothing better to do than spend 10 dollars on a damn small drink. read more

It just happened again with today's order and when I call to inform them I'm met with a message stating I cannot leave a message because voice mail box is full. Also, a few months back I got a raspberry bar to bring home to eat. I took one bite and someone's long, disgusting hair was baked into it. I'm obviously at my breaking point with this place. I love the owner of this establishment, I just think some of the newer employees are incompetent.

Delicious shakes, friendly staff and fun vibes. This is a for sure 'go-to' for a healthy meal on the go! My favorite is the Cinnamon Toast Crunch (I like to throw in some spinach to feel extra healthy), followed by the Crave which includes macro-greens as a supplement. Super friendly and informative staff and a great value! read more

Everbowl is - I guess - a small chain selling acai bowls and smoothies. I have a 5-star favorite acai bowl place but it's all the way in Kauai. When I'm in Carlsbad? Everbowl not just suffices but fully satisfies. Having consumed 100% authentic acai in Brazil I've had issues with some acai places in the past, where the acai is watered down with (most commonly) apple juice, something that is easily detectable when you've sampled enough acai bowls. Everbowl's acai tasted pure, not thinned out, and was fresh, cold, and quite good, made even better by the usual array of toppings (berries, bananas, and granola). My enjoyment of acai bowls seems directly correlated to how close I am to a beach when consuming. Carlsbad is a beach town. I rest my case.
