My order had not even been started despite them already having the printed order. I had also called about 30 minutes before ordering to verify the ingredients and mentioned I would be coming after a vet appointment across the street. I had my pet with me and still needed to stop at the pharmacy, take her home, and get to class, so I ended up standing outside while keeping my car running with the AC for her while they made an order that was already supposed to be ready. The staff were not rude, but that does not change the poor service. If you provide customers with a pickup time, especially when they arrive after that time, the order should at least be in progress. I hope there is better attention to online orders and more accurate communication about pickup times going forward. As a first time customer, this was an impression I can't forget. I'm not sure if I would come back.

Having consumed 100% authentic acai in Brazil I've had issues with some acai places in the past, where the acai is watered down with (most commonly) apple juice, something that is easily detectable when you've sampled enough acai bowls. Everbowl's acai tasted pure, not thinned out, and was fresh, cold, and quite good, made even better by the usual array of toppings (berries, bananas, and granola). My enjoyment of acai bowls seems directly correlated to how close I am to a beach when consuming. Carlsbad is a beach town. I rest my case.
