Ever Evolving Exotics is always my go to reptile shop, Ive been coming here ever since i picked up my python 2 years ago. The staff is super friendly and helpful, never rushing me when I have questions. The feeder rats i usually pick up from here always look super healthy & well fed so my snake gets to eat like a champ! I've also grabbed all my lighting and terrarium supplies here, the owner was super helpful in going over the details of the arcadia lumenize lighting. The store is clean, well-organized, and they pack everything carefully for the trip home. Five stars all the way! read more

I have been going to EEE for nearly three years now and I think it was high time I gave it a review. First and foremost, EEE has always been clean. To some it may sound like a "duh" when it comes to a business. Frankly when it comes to pet stores almost every reptile/pet store I go to always smells or is dirty , or the enclosures are dirty or the pets are not taken proper care of or just over all has a really unpleasant and lazy feel to them. This was the first pet store I ever stepped into that was just ... clean ! All the animals have their own proper enclosure, they are always cleaned regularly, they are always fed properly and I never see an animal in a sickly state. If you can take anything to heart of this review, cleanliness and animal care should be too priority in a pet store . The staff are great , all are helpful and knowledgeable. They are always smiling and wanting to help . Lee the owner is frankly a bad influence. When I stepped into his shop for the first time, all the things he had to say about dart frogs just pulled me in and never let go... now because of him , im pretty deep into the dart frog hobby and have my own collection and am always trying to get more. Lee is a fantastic owner and has so much knowledge that it makes you wish you could just sit with him for a few hours asking questions. Trust me I've tried . The biggest thing I love about Lee and his shop is that he rather not sell to people if he feels they can't take care of an animal. That wins major points with me. I really do not like seeing pet stores that sell pets to just anyone that walks in without a second thought . Lee seems to care and names sure that customers are knowledgeable on the animal they are interested in and at least have a basic setup before selling an animal to anyone . EEE is one of those local businesses that everyone should support . Standards and quality can be seen and felt at the store. I couldn't recommend Ever Evolving Exotics more if I tried . My son has been saving for a year to buy his first snake. We have stopped by a few times over the past year for him to look and ask questions. Everyone has always been so patient with my 10 year old. Yesterday he purchased his new corn snake. I feel confident that he will be so responsible because the staff has always answered his questions. I am a mom to one very happy boy. The only issue is that he wants to know what to do with the enclosure when his snake out grows it. His solution was to fill it with another baby snake! Oh boy!!! I'm a huge fan of EEE, altho I'm pretty sure everyone is lol. I go there for their tarantulas and enclosures. They have very reasonable prices, they also carry feeder bugs, isopods, springtails, all sorts of reptiles, wood and tanks, lots of stuff! Even a little supply section. For a small store it's laid out well and has a ton to offer. The two guys that own and run the shop are knowledgeable, friendly, never rush a customer. They take time to listen to customers, help them find things they may be looking for, such as a particular type of tarantula, if they don't have it they do try to locate one for you. I'm moving across country so I apologize in advance that I'm going to have to take them with me. I know everyone will miss them but how am I supposed to keep adding T's and beautiful enclosures to my collection?! I'm sure you understand. I've had only one exchange that I didn't agree with, as someone who spends a lot every time I visit, I go there first before ordering a T off the internet, even if their price is higher (not often) however, I had hoped for a better outcome with an issue I had. I had an incident where I couldn't find the sling in it's enclosure even after waiting a few days. Searched the enclosure and never found it. Took everything back in and the best they could do is give me half off a replacement T. So basically I spent $65 dollars for no T and $25 for a replacement T. If I were a first time customer I understand they need to be cautious however, I purchase several T's and supplies every time I'm there. So that kinda hurt a little. I felt like I was in trouble for some reason. It was awkward and unfortunate. I debated adding this to my review but finally I decided to add it. I wanted to share this story as a lesson to people, always have them check each container so you know 100% there's a T in there. (They don't mind checking at all!) That way there's no awkward situation for either party. This doesn't change my rating of the guys, they're top notch and THE place to go if you're in Southern Arizona. Even my Phoenix friends come down to shop at EEE. Good people, good stuff. Check them out! Support lovely owned small businesses who treat their animals wonderfully, are passionate about their care. I've stopped by several times now, with the intentions of creating a bio active vivarium to house some plants and eventually dart frogs. Lee has personally taken time to walk me through each step, taught me how to make backgrounds and substrates, and used his own enclosures as examples. He could've upsold me, or avoided teaching me how to do things on my own and sold his own expertise , but he elected to teach me instead, something I really appreciated and will benefit my enclosure in the long term. I bought all my supplies here, cheaper or similarly priced to buying them online, and with the benefit of being able to see all the animals the shop has. This shop is impeccably clean, well organized, and all the animals are thoughtfully well cared for. I can't recommend any pet store the way I'd recommend EEE. I've had only enjoyable interactions with every employee here. read more

Place is small but super clean. Enclosures are mostly bioactive and really nice looking, natural and clean. It's smaller than other places in town, but the people are attentive and nice. Cheapest price on feeders that I've found around here and the pinkies are really stuffed and fat looking, worlds away from the ones being sold at Petco. Cork flats are $11/lbs, supers are $6/100 and pinkies $1 each read more

I had a bad experience and won't go back. I bought a crested gecko on the suggestion of the salesman. I was looking for a very low-maintenance reptile for my son. Although the initial interaction was positive, I started to get the sense I was being upsold or that perhaps I was being sold an animal that required more care than I could provide. The total was significantly more than I had been told on the phone and nearly twice as much as the sticker on the tank said. I started to get a bad feeling about it. I was parked immediately outside the store. I put the gecko in the passenger seat in the shade and tended to my son for 5 to 10 minutes. It was 85 degrees out and the car doors were open. My car was visible from the store. At this point, I decided that this animal required more care than we could provide and that I didn't have confidence that the salesman's view of low maintenance matched mine. I took the gecko back into the store. A saleswoman was there. She said that the 5 to 10 minutes the animal had spent in the shade in the car with the doors open at a temperature of 85 degrees had endangered the animal's health and they could not take it back. This seemed to me like total bullshit. First she said it had been in the sun and I said no, it had not. Then she went on about credit card fees. I told her I would personally bribe her $10 in cash to refund it to me. She accepted that and I was refunded but not without a lecture about how nice she was being to me. Anyway, lesson learned. I was clearly fresh meat to these salespeople. I think this place is for highly knowledgeable reptile enthusiasts who know exactly what they need and exactly what a fair price is. I was neither and I felt taken advantage of. Glad I walked out of there only $10 poorer. read more

EEE is an amazing reptile shop!! This store has everything you need to keep your exotic pets happy and healthy. Unlike typical reptile shops, there's not a foul stench hitting you once you walk in the door! The animals are well kept and healthy. Each enclosure has something unique about them. The owner creates frogs' habitats like ripping a chunk of the Amazon into a terrarium (literally a living terrarium) The staff is also very knowledgeable. This is the best reptile store in town! I've been going here for almost a year now because I love it so much. His prices are 1/3 what they are at the bigger stores and fresher. He makes sure the animals are sourced from reliable places and makes sure they go with what they need even if he takes a loss. We commissioned him to build out 2 bearded dragon tanks and he KILLED it. He was VERY fair with what he charged us. We would do it every time. Lee knows what all the animals need, and won't send them with people with less than what the animal needs. You're not making a mistake at all if you go here. So today I finally made it over to Ever Evolving Exotics in Tucson, AZ. Wish I had found this place sooner, but happy that I know now and met the owner Lee. Not your typical reptile shop. This place is clean, bright and organized. every enclosure built by the owner and team and every snake, lizard, turtle, etc. healthy and happy. Honestly, it did not even smell like a reptile shop or pet shop as some of the others around town have. Amazing and the guy/Lee knows his stuff and is incredibly helpful to every customer even when the shop was crazy busy and people standing calmly in line to pay or get help. A guy wanted to buy a baby fire gecko but it had crawled into a crevice in a rock in the viv and was hissing loudly. Lee refused to take it out because he did not want to stress him and instead told the guy to come back another day. Amazing. I was able to buy just the right size of rat pups for Jara and also purchased a real log hide (getting rid of the manufactured one I had) and a fogger that is now keeping Jara's viv at a nice balance of 55-65 humidity. Yea again. Will be giving Ever Evolving Exotics my business from now on, even if I do have to drive across town. read more

Finally! A shop that's clean and where the welfare of the animals is a priority. Even though I made it clear that I was just visiting and not buying anything, Lee, the owner, sat and talked reptiles with me for twenty minutes or so. This place is clean, and the animals have decent enclosures. Lee and his staff were super helpful and friendly, and discussed the importance of making sure every new owner understands how to care for his/her new pet, as well as good customer service, wherein it's better to not make a sale than to sell someone an animal that they're not prepared to care for.
