So sad that my favorite esthetician Mina has left! She was what really pushed this place over to a five star place, but I'll leave it like this until (hopefully not!) I have a bad experience. I honestly don't think you'll find a cheaper place to get a wax/threading in the Houston area. Possibly not anywhere actually. $20 for full legs (wax), $5 for eyebrow wax, $2 for upper lip wax. They have a secondary location nearby as well in case one is especially busy or your favorite esthetician likes to go between one and the other. Parking is usually available right in front. The business is located in a strip mall in Harwin w/ some grocery shops, other shops selling trinkets, and a terrible Indian restaurant called Neeta's. Once you enter there's a small waiting area w/ couches. To the right is the desk where you pay afterwards. Straight ahead behind the makeshift partial wall is where facial treatments (eyebrow threading, wax, etc.) are done. There's a regular wax, and a chocolate wax option. They recommend chocolate wax for the face and other sensitive areas since it's apparently easier on the skin. If you want to do leg wax or further body wax, they take you further in the back into small private rooms. If you want they'll give you a skirt to change into (although they call it a gown.) Normally I just wear a dress to make it easier on everyone. Inside the private rooms (which are rather small) there is a small table where they set the wax (which they keep warm in a coffee pot haha) and directly ahead is the bed where you lay to get a wax. The bed has a roll of paper at the top which they pull down to replace with each new person so it's clean. Mina was very particular and would check that you were happy with the look and had great attention to detail. Unfortunately that wasn't quite true of the other estheticians I encountered so I stuck with Mina mostly. But as long as you're willing to double check the work and say 'hey can you get this spot it's been missed' there won't be many issues. I go ~1x per month for eyebrow threading ($5), lip threading ($2), underarm waxing ($5), and full leg waxing ($20). Even with a 30% tip, I still leave for under $50 per month. My eyebrows look amazing every time, and all the staff are skilled... there isn't anyone I would not want to do my services. The staff are also very friendly and ask about my job & family. I brought my sister with me once, years ago, and they still ask me about her! I don't get bikini waking done here, because they do not have the right kind of wax that is gentle enough for that area. This is my go-to place for eyebrow threading. I'd say they provide great service at prices this low. They are quick and very good at what they do. I have also done facial one time. My focus was to get rid of my blackheads from my nose. It costs me about $30 and the lady did an excellent job! Off course, unlike the regular spa/salons, their facial room is not fancy, no music being played, massage was limited to my shoulders and no water/drinks being offered. Although, they don't really greet their customers, they do give a welcoming smile. For eyebrow threading, this is my place. Even for facial, I'd visit here for regular trips and occasionally when I want to get pampered I'd go to one of the regular medium/high end places. I have been going to this place for about 2 years now for threading due to the cheap prices, but you get what you pay for. It's ALWAYS hit or miss. I have to say that I can only remember a handful of times, maybe 30%, that I was truly happy with how my eyebrows turned out. There is one lady who is always sought out for but she is not always there, the rest of the staff are mediocre. After visiting the salon with my mom yesterday, this woman ruined both of our eyebrows. She over-threaded the ends which are difficult to grow back. She also completely removed my left arch which has always been a perfect arch. You would think they would hire people who know the basics of eyebrows, you don't remove someone's arch and ends. Unfortunately, both my mom and my eyebrows are COMPLETELY uneven. I was so upset and I vow to never return. They even raised the price to $5, my mom and I still tipped her 20% despite being so frustrated. Visit this place with caution. read more

The salon is located in the same plaza as Himalayas, and it's next to a sign that says tattoos. I got my eyebrows and upper lip threaded. My eyebrow and upper lip were not puffy and red afterwards, like they typically are after threading. I was in and out of this place under 10 minutes! Overall, I was very happy with the end result. This place deserves no star! I came here with my husband to get my nails done, they told me they don't do nails. Then, we decided to get both of us a massage, they refused to serve him because they claimed they don't serve men! What kind of shit is that? So, I finally got my massage by Nanu, it was the worst massage I've ever received and she put oil all over my hair...... I was charged $30 when their card said 30 minute massage is $24.99. I confronted them about it, I was told they increased the price but the new cards didn't come yet. The first time I came here it was because my mom said to try it. She told me to ask for Supriya, who to my luck, wasn't there. So I sat in the second chair on the left. God knows how she's working there, she messed up my eyebrows soooo badly! Then per standard salon behavior acted like it was my fault and I had walked in with bad eyebrows already. Eventually I got Supriya and she's the only one i'll go to. A few weeks ago, my sister came to visit and really wanted to get her brows done, same bad luck, got stuck in that dreadful chair and man were her eyebrows ruined. Final straw in what pushed me to write this review was I went in yesterday and a girl was getting her upper lip threaded. I heard her yell at the girl saying she wasn't pulling the hair from the root but instead breaking the hair. The girl was pissed but of course your lady just played dumb and couldn't hold a conversation and blamed the girls upper lip for it. WHAT?? This review is for eyebrow threading...I haven't had any other service here. However, I've been there multiple times, and it is absolutely the best quality for the price that I've found. They've done a great job and only charge $4 (bring cash, credit card minimum is $10). The ladies are always nice, and the service is fast. I had to wait once, but it was for less than 10 minutes. No problem. It's in a somewhat shady area, but it's so close to the highway that it's never felt unsafe to me. It's out of my way to go, but I will continue to travel here for quality on a budget. read more

Location is a little bit shady but there is always a security person outside plus it's next to the freeway. Threading is cheap ($4) for good quality. Ask for Amina or the owner . They are good. It depends on who is going to give your service. I mainly go for facial, and if my luck is bad and I get somebody who is learning or someone who is uninterested, then it's a bad experience. Few of them are really good at it, but they need to give more massage for the amount I pay for facial. I only get my eyebrows threaded here, they are okay but I don't have much eyebrows. It depends on who you get to do them. My sister has very thick and long eyebrow hairs and when she when in with me the lady that originally did them really messed them up. The was another lady that fixed them.
