I wish I had read the reviews before coming. I was really excited to find a place that was open until 8:00PM that was also along my way home from work. I came in for a color change and was greeted warmly and told to pick my polish, the selection wasn't huge, I only saw one rack on the wall a couple of OPI Essie and a brand I'd never heard of, but I was able to find a color I liked. That's when everything went downhill. The lady doing my nails asked me if I want to keep the same shape, I did. Then she takes out the heavy grit nail file and starts sawing back and forth on my nails leaving ragged pieces from the pressure. She has me turn my hand 180 so she can do my thumb, which no place has ever asked me to do before. Then she repeats on my right hand only worse. Every nail on my right hand is filed at an angle. Every nail has at least a 20 degree slope. I point this out and she fixes it, still with the heavy grit file mind you, and the result is that the nails on my right hand are now noticeably shorter than my left. I wish I could say things got better. The actually polish application was uneven. She started painting over the ragged pieces of nail, then after already applying one coat takes out nail clippers to try and trim those slivers off. What? At one point I heard another tech walk by and ask her "Why are you taking so long on a color change?" in Chinese which I'm assuming they didn't think I'd understand. I don't know if she started rushing after than but the result was the 2nd coat of polish didn't even cover the whole nail (I didn't notice until it had dried when I got home). Also for the top coat, I've never seen someone be able to coat all 5 nails on one hand without every having to dip the brush back into the bottle. read more

Nice people, nice lady. However my nail job wasn't so nice. Indeed, it is just $12 for a simple manicure. I really don't do manicures because might as well paint my nails by myself right? However it is girls night out and didn't feel much like doing so. So why not I told myself. As far as everything else that comes within a manicure it was good, but the outcome was kind of crappy. Again, nice people, but it could've been better. She coated my nails over and over that's all I can say. Meh, I was in a hurry to tell her to fix it. Will I come here again? Nail shops are a dime a dozen in Houston and I'm sad to say that I live too far from my old nail place. I came here on a whim because I exhausted all of my other options and desperately needed to get a mani/pedi. For a Saturday, I didn't have to wait too long. Maybe 10 mins? They had four ladies working. Chinese, not Korean, to correct the other review. It was nice to walk into a non-Vietnamese nail salon and not have to hear the nail tech gossip about their customers. Although, I'm sure they were doing it here, I just couldn't understand what they were saying. I got a French shellac mani and a French pedicure. The lady doing my pedi (Anne) had a steady hand and my pedi turned out better than the nail tech working on my hands (Bonnie). Bonnie was nice and seemed pretty quiet. Didn't talk too much and that's OK since I kind of just wanted to relax. The whole process took about an hour (as it should) and they worked pretty quickly. I'm hoping the polish will last for a few weeks. Not the best nail job I've had done but 4 out of 5 times nail shops are a miss with me. Gave the place 3 stars because it could look nicer. There is some cheesy neon lights inside for top molding that probably needs to get removed. Also, the place could definitely use a good cleaning. I saw some trash that needed to be picked up. You can't beat a $25 mani/pedi! The quality of the work here is decent for what you pay. I usually get my toes painted and my fingers done with clear polish. I have had a french manicure here before too, and it's turned out okay - some of the ladies will use the strips while others freehand it. I usually have one person painting my fingers while another lady works on my toes. My favorite part is definitely the mini massage you get before they paint your nails. There's a classic selection of colors, but I wish they'd include trendier/edgier shades like greys or plums. They do take walk-ins and credit cards, which are both pluses. read more

The gentleman with a beard is my FAVORITE to go to. He is conversational but not prying, very gentle, he knows what he is doing and asks what you want before he does it. Should have read the reviews before. The lady owner is horrible! She was pushing my hand to stay in acetone too long. Messed up my nails. Didn't paint the right way. I left without paying and they let me because it was TRASH. I had to wait forever and had 3 different people worked on my nails because they couldn't manage their time. BEWARE !! THE ONNER LADY IS RUDE & LOUD Make sure to carry cash OWNER will SCREM at you like crazy even though the problem is with their machine and not with your card. Had my nail tech TRY AND remove my full set without soaking, no filing, never pulled out the tool they use to file down correctly, nothing. She took a fake acrilic nail and stuck it in between my real Nail and the fake nail to rip the fake Nail off of my real nail and ANYONE that has had fake nails knows this is not a pleasant feeling. It feels like somewhere is ripping your entire nail off. I told her to please stop And politely asked is there no other way we can do this?! She completely ignored me and proceeded to do this again and after she ripped the second one off I said STOP I can not do this any longer. WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING!!!!!! She was awful. I've been getting my nails done since I was 15 and NEVER have I EVER had anything even remotely like this happen to me. The location of Classic Nails corner of Sage and Richmond is minutes from my Uptown Galleria office on Post Oak .....I love that. The new and lattest remodeling and decor is beautiful and inviting and very clean. The ladies are very polite and enthusiastic to Accomadations. My manicure was precise and thorough....I have rough Manly hands but Nail Technician named Wendy, manicured my nails to perfection. I also got a pedicure using the new comfortable massaging chairs which was delightful. The price was reasonable and the service I received was the royal treatment. I didn't mind the quality of nails( not the best, not the worst) as much as the worst customer service I have ever experienced! Never in my entire life have I had to argue out loud in a public location let alone a nail salon! I am known for overtipping, so for me to only give 15% tip is an insult! I have been there a few times before this incident. I live in walking distance so I chose to walk there for the convenience factor, and they would accept my credit card even when a couple ladies recognized me prior. I was willing to leave my car keys and walk across the street to get my drivers license to prove who I was, I showed them evidence on my iPhone, ex. car insurance in my name, apple id in my name, with face recognition and they treated me like crap! I am so irate especially when I was spending $165 to be treated so poorly! I was sooo upset and on the verge of crying as how dare them treat me like I did not matter. $25.00 for a mani/pedi? YES. But you definitely get what you pay for.....this is one of the WORST pedicures I've every had period. It is unsanitary as well! None of the tools used came out of those plastic wrappers after they've been sterilized....when I asked her about it she took out a cotton swab, soaked it in alcohol and wiped down the clippers.....GROSS! Needless to say....I didn't get the complete mani/pedi.....I had to leave. So, if you are ok with mediocre (at best) and unsterilized tools than this place is for you. Worst experience ever. I came in with a friend bc she had her refills done here b4. The ladies seem very inexperienced. I came in for a mani and pedi and was semi satisfied. The color was pretty but the polish work was sloppy. They didnt have a big selection of polish colors to choose from and the quality of the polish did not look good. Don't come to this shop! Even on your most desperate day! I finally got sick and tired of how Tony and Cindy did me. Multiple times they have done horrible service and I continued to come because of the convenience and I swear I should have learned my lesson a long time ago. They always stop doing your service good once they have new customers coming in the shop. Meaning they are more interested in not losing a person walking in than the person that is in the middle of their service. I can never understand why some nail shops do that. TODAY CINDY DID MY MANICURE AND THE COLOR WSS OLD AND THICK WHICH I EXPLAINED ABOUT HALFWAY THROUGH AND SHE KEPT SAYING THAT IT WOULD GET BETTER AFTER SHE PUT THE TOP COAT ON. Well of course it didnt look better and I told her I wanted a new color and then they tell me I have to wait until they are done with the waiting ladies. They were not even done doing my nails yet. If I could give 0 stars I would! But they'll get this 1 star for the glass of wine. I went to this nail salon about a year ago and had an awful experience and never wanted to return. I saw that they were under new management and figured why not...the décor is much better. Looks nice inside but they only have 4 stations to get your nails done...with a lot of people! I waited over an hour...the sign read 50% off...then when I was about to pay...it wasn't. Such a rip off. My toenails were half painted. I noticed that we I got a pedicure, the lady rushed through, while the lady next to me received the SAME pedicure (because I asked) and she sat down before me and finished 10 mins after me. My nail tech didn't care, at all...which I don't understand, no massage, batting, removing dead skin...nothing. they don't touch up around your nails when they get polish on your finger...my acrylics were very weak.
