I was simply trying to ask a few questions about their manicure and French tip services before booking. Unfortunately, the woman at the front desk was extremely rude and made me feel like my questions were an inconvenience. Before I was even finished, she hung up on me without asking if I had any other questions. I called back thinking the call had dropped and explained that I was still talking when it ended. She responded in a frustrated tone, "Yes ma'am, your appointment is booked." I understand that people can be busy, but there is absolutely no reason to treat a potential first-time customer this way. A simple "Is there anything else I can help you with?" would have taken a few seconds. Needless to say, I will be taking my business somewhere else. If this is how potential new customers are treated over the phone, I can only imagine what the in-person experience would be like. Very unfortunate, because I was genuinely interested in trying this salon.

I showed my nail tech an inspo pic and let her know that I wanted square round nails and she got to work as soon as she was free. When she was working on my nails, another customer came in asking to get her eyebrows waxed. My nail tech stopped mid service when she was working on my nails to wax her eyebrows. I am patient so again, I didn't mind waiting however I could tell that the tech felt rushed and stressed. I'm not sure if this is the norm here but the tech only trimmed my nails before applying the dip powder but did not clean up my cuticles or trim any hangnails. Also, when she was filing down the dip, she cut 3 of my fingers which stung. I understand that she had another customer waiting on her but I don't think it was appropriate for her to rush through my service.

The prices also went up by at least $10 a service overnight, once the name switched. Previously, I had a $100 gift card from NOA that they would not honor. Why not? I understand ownership changed, but to not honor past gift cards for longer doesn't bode well for established clients. Another time, back in May , I was told the wait would be over 45 minutes for a mani, even though that area appeared completely empty. Ok - so I walked back out and across the street to Blush Salon and got a lovely manicure right away. I don't expect I'll be returning to Genova any time soon.

Disappointing Spa Experience -- Milano Nails Spa on Eldridge Pkwy…read more I wanted to give an honest review of my experience at Milano Nails Spa. My manicure was decent overall. I felt like the technician had a great attitude, created good conversation, and had positive energy. The manicure itself was fine, although I do feel like the peeling/dead skin around my cuticles could have been buffed and cleaned up a little better. Also, she cured my polish with a hair underneath too... Unfortunately, I was much less satisfied with my pedicure. During the pedicure, the technician pinched my skin and, with the nipper, cut the skin around my right big toe. It was extremely painful, and I'm hoping it doesn't become irritated or infected. I understand that small accidents can happen, but this one was particularly uncomfortable. The polish was also a major issue. I sat there for around 10 minutes allowing the polish to dry, which I felt should have been enough time. However, almost immediately after leaving the salon, the polish on my big toe started lifting and peeling. By the time I noticed, about half of the polish was already off the toenail. For the price of the service, I expected the polish to last longer than a few minutes. The pedicure technician also seemed very focused on simply completing the service. There wasn't much personality or conversation, which isn't necessarily a dealbreaker, but combined with the other issues, it made the experience feel less enjoyable. Another major issue was the environment. There was another guest in the room who was on her phone for well over an hour and a half, speaking extremely loudly and discussing very personal/inappropriate topics. I was there specifically to relax and enjoy a spa experience, but it was difficult to do that with someone talking loudly the entire time. What bothered me most was that the manager came into the room multiple times, clearly saw what was happening, but never asked the guest to lower her voice or be considerate of the other customers. I was visibly aggravated throughout my service. When I checked out, I mentioned the situation to the manager. He apologized and said he was sorry about it, but then continued checking me out without really addressing the concern or offering any solution. I don't expect perfection, but when you're paying for a manicure and pedicure, you should be able to expect a clean, relaxing environment and a service that lasts longer than the time it takes to walk out the door. I would appreciate it if the salon would at least offer to redo the polish on my big toe. Hopefully management takes this feedback seriously and improves the overall customer experience. People come to a spa to relax, feel pampered, and enjoy themselves--not leave feeling frustrated.

I get in the pedicure chair and wait for a bit. My feet are soaking in the water for probably almost 10 min. So I'm sure it's good enough. Here's where it just goes down hill. My nail tech was nice at first but throughout the service, I could just tell the job was going to be bad. After my feet had been soaking, he noticed leftover polish and instead of using polish remover, he used the buffer so hard on my big toe, that it broke my skin the second toe and it bled. I literally told him to stop and he said "oh have you been bleeding?" Like hello? He goes over to the right leg was about to buffer again and I said "stop". I ask him to use something else.
