I don't think this was malicious, I think it was just the near universal incompetence of mechanics that I've run into in Reno, but the extra $2000 we paid these guys for it was far more than enough. I wouldn't trust them to work on a bicycle where I could easily inspect the work myself. I've done nearly all my own work since the last incident here and guess what, I haven't had any parts not directly related to a problem fail yet.

My first thought was I better order tires on Monday before the tariffs go into effect because that could add another couple hundred to my purchase. I went to see Sergio the manager at the Auto Clinic. He was upfront about my requests and what I could expect along with a quote. I asked about the tariffs and I was right, they received an email the prices were about to change! I locked in my estimate with a deposit and said " please order my tires". My tires came the next day and I was excited. They had my car on the rack and wouldn't be able to finish until the next day which was fine by me. I was happy they were able to do my wheel alignment because sometimes sports cars are too low to the ground and you have to take it to the dealer for double the price! They did not try to sell me any extras many other tire places are like that. They did inform me about an issue but said "I wouldn't worry about it, if it was my car". This is not your daily driver and you don't seem to put many miles on your car. My overall experience was fantastic and I would highly recommend them to anyone reading my review.

When they couldn't find a code or cause, his advice was to just keep driving the car until it happened multiple times. When I asked about my safety, he flippantly told me "just don't drive it on the freeway." Telling a customer to keep driving a vehicle that randomly dies is highly irresponsible and unsafe.
