Oh they are sneaky! Not Cool! IF I could give them 0 Stars I would! I was aware of many horrible reviews BUT I wanted to give them a chance. They failed! On February 21, 2022, around 10 am I took a test drive of an 2012 Nissan Quest. I took the vehicle to my mechanic and the report came back that this vehicle was NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. It had the following issues attached. I submitted my findings to Eureka Auto Wholesale and they seemed generally concerned. Though later that night I noticed the car was still on their website. Today, February 22, 2022, around 11 am my co-worker called Eureka Auto Wholesale and asked if the vehicle was available and if she could take it out for a test drive. They said YES! Unbelievable! This vehicle shouldn't be driven. It's not safe! This company has been made aware of the situation and they are not doing anything about it. I have reported them to the BBB. Here's the truth. All the negative stuff you think about a "bad used car dealership" are manifest in this business. A. The name itself is misleading and makes no sense. They don't deal in wholesale, and their prices are based on Kelley Blue Book values or higher. There is no deal here. B. When we bought a car from them, they told us they had performed a standard maintenance check on the vehicle and replaced all the fluids, and that everything checked out. Great. But when we took it to a mechanic after purchasing it, he showed us that all the fluids desperately needed replacing (including the oil, which was literally black). The car also needed $3000 worth of repairs (4 out of 6 engine mounts were completely cracked and detached, all four brake pads were dead, the tire sensors had been completely removed (?), the trunk didn't latch right because of an UNREPORTED accident, which also resulted in there being no spare tire or jack, etc.) In short, the car was a completely lemon. C. That said, the salesman was very nice and seemingly empathetic. The kind of person who, I suspect, has a hard time sleeping at night, knowing he's part of a truly terrible operation, but maybe can't get out? I don't know. I don't really want to know. Three days later I'm picking it up from the repair shop and I'm out an additional $1500. If you're thinking of purchasing a vehicle from here don't. They knowingly hosed my 18 year old daughter. She paid cash for a Jeep Liberty from them and couple weeks later the window stopped rolling up. She was told her 30 day warranty didn't cover that. Then the car had issues starting but hat seemed to resolve itself. I called and spoke to Brent who at the time was very reasonable and said he had no problem fixing the window. It's a couple weeks later and the vehicle is leaking fluid and smoking. I all obviously upset and if I'm being honest i probably wasn't very kind to tell Brent about this. I inquired if he was going to fix the issue or if i was going to need to pursue this legally and he advised she didn't purchase a warranty and there is no lemon law for used cars so he is doing nothing. I was also advised that there was nothin wrong with he vehicle because it passed smog. One smog is and emissions thing and 2 i am fully away of he shady ways to get a smog certificate. ***just and update. I bought a car here in September. It was a 2004 Subaru Forester XT and I absolutely loved it. The guy even dropped the price by $1000 so it would be in my budget. I thought it was fantastic! A week later my family and I drove down to Fort Bragg. Just past Leggett, I started hearing a knocking sound. I bunny-hopped it the rest of the way to Fort Bragg because it was the middle of the night. I got a hotel room for the night and the next day I took my car to the only tire place in town. Luckily they were open for a couple hours and were able to fit me in. Turned out the front drivers side tire was not bolted on all the way! It had been wobbling back and forth, hence the knocking sound, and it ended up wearing the tire down really bad. I had to get it replaced, but since the car is AWD I had to replace all four tires which ended up costing me $500. The mechanic said I also needed new struts, but that I did not need to replace them right away. When I returned to Eureka I went in to the office to see about getting reimbursed, and he refused because he didn't see why he should have to pay for all four tires when only one went bad. I tried repeatedly to explain that you have to replace all four tires with AWD and he refused to accept that. He also implied that I had loosened the bolts myself! The car was still under warranty at that point, not to mention my family's lives were risked. The mechanic informed me that if we had driven much further, the wheel would probably have fallen off, and anyone who has driven over Highway 101 knows how dangerous that would have been. Brent told me he was a mechanic and the car I bought did not need anything. I told him I heard a noise during the test drive. He did not say anything. He offered me an "out the door" price that I found out later did not include a 48 hour take back or other warranty. I asked for the Carfax, and instead, he showed me a dmv report which I found out later offered much less info than the Carfax. By the 3rd time I drove it I knew something was not right. North Bay Auto said the noise was caused by cupped tires due to leaking struts. Four tires and a front end alignment were needed. The motor mounts are also worn out. $950. plus tires, plus replacing the motor mounts were needed. Brent provided the struts but I'm stuck with installing them and all the rest. I just found out I need lower control arms too. They had a Kelly blue book price of $4,400. on the car. Later I found out the average selling price was $3,400. They put the highest possible selling price on it as if it was in mint condition which clearly it is not. They probably ripped me off for about $2500 that I need to put into the car. These people are predators that prey on trusting people; on those who don't know much about cars or much about buying used cars; or those that are in a hurry. Do not go to Eureka Auto Wholesale. I have to agree with other bad reviews! The follow-up for getting anything fixed, or even getting the DMV paperwork done, is seriously lacking! Most of the vehicles sold here come from Stockton area dealer auctions. Most have issues that major dealers don't want to spend time to repair. EAW will fix the most obvious problems, sell the vehicle with warranty, and then your expenses start to add up when their warranty doesn't cover problems that pre-existed the signed purchase. Best advice: Take the vehicle to a shop/dealer you trust, get the entire vehicle checked, then have EAW fix everything prior to your purchase. If they won't fix everything, and still provide a warranty, then you know NOT to purchase the vehicle. If you do purchase from EAW, keep pressure on them regarding repairs and DMV paperwork. Otherwise, your vehicle will be 3-6 months from purchase date and still need repairs and driving on temp registration papers. Good luck! read more

I bought a 02 Outback from them and 6 days later it needed a thermostat. They agreed to fix it under warranty but I had to pay $95 for towing it there. After taking it to my mechanic I noticed a lot more was wrong with it. It needed steering rod boots for both sides, had an oil leak, had an antifreeze leak, the window would creak and crack when I rolled it down, A/C didn't work, I had a fog light and license plate light out, 2 leaking tires, a left turn signal that only worked sometimes, my brakes were old, and my cruise control didn't work. He agreed to fix the tires and recharge the A/C so far (I'm still in the process of negotiating).
