Ordered flowers for Mother's Day well in advance (11+ days out). On Mother's Day, they wrote saying their largest delivery van had broken down and the flowers would not be delivered that day. Eureka Florist offered a full refund, or a one-day-late delivery and partial refund. I opted for the latter. The flowers were delivered later in the day on Monday, however the partial refund is nowhere to be seen. The florist also has not replied to a single one of the multiple emails we have sent them. This is very poor service. It reminded me why I've always been a fan of Pocket of Posies and why I'll never use Eureka Florist ever again. I ended up filing a credit card chargeback for a partial refund. If you can't keep your promises, don't make them! read more

First, the Mother's Day flowers I ordered were never delivered. As of 10:30 I have still received no email or phone call (they said they did both). The audacity of asking for a tip on flowers never delivered is mind blowing. I hope the current owner sells as she's not fit to run a pop up. Updating my review, as after speaking with the company and the recipient of the flowers. It is obvious that whoever took the pictures did a subpar job, and review is solely based on that. It was definitely not good lighting after comparing pictures. I couldn't even tell that there were pink birds from these pictures which the company and the recipient mentioned. The pictures the recipient sent me look 10x better, at the end of they were ecstatic about the delivery and that's what matters. read more

Gwen is a floral artist! I just saw the most gorgeous bouquet delivered to my mother on her 80th birthday which was spectacular! There was also a ball of shells beautifully placed amongst the splendid arrangement and we wondered, was this hand made? The vase the flowers were place in was glass and a wonderful element that set off the colors in the flowers Wow! Gwen is a con-artist and a thief. They buy all their flowers from Safeway and then triple the price. They sell half dead flowers and do not pay their landlord or their employees. I rarely write reviews, but this shoppe went above & BEYOND! I'm so appreciative of the initiatives they took. I am from out of town & wanted to surprise my brother's mom with Mother's Day flowers. They called & offered to hand deliver the floral arrangement given the location was close by. We chose Eureka Florist after they did such a great job making a gift basket for us of local items for my friend in PA. The gift basket was waiting in our room. We were so impressed I brought my 50 year old wedding headpiece to them. Everyone was very friendly and Gwen readily took on restoring our keepsakes. Due to Covid, we have been unable to have our regular date nights out on the town. I have been the lucky recipient of several arrangements from this florist this year. They have all been beautiful and long lasting, looking exactly as presented on their website. The most recent was a Valentines arrangement and it was huge and beautiful, I think the name of it was "Eternal Flame". It was delivered on Valentine's Day and the delivery person was very professional and wore a mask. I love this florist. It looks like people from out of town who order flowers have the same issue.. I've ordered from them before but this time is inexcusable. I ordered the FTD Touch of Spring Bouquet for my Mom to be delivered this Friday for Mother's Day. My Mom just sent me a photo of the bouquet she received today, 2 days earlier. I called right away and explained my disappointment in not getting the bouquet I ordered or anything close to it! She said it had the same flowers and was of the same cost... Wrong! The one I ordered listed peach roses, peach gilly flower, orange spray roses, red Peruvian Lilies and Pink Asiatic Lilies. My Mom received a bouquet of 7 TULIPS and mostly green leaves and babys breath. If I'm ordering a specific bouquet online (because I live 5 hours away) I expect it to be the SAME BOUQUET or very similar! Not happy at all... She said she will send the correct one on Friday (the day I requested in the first place) but we will see how it turns out... They also sent an update email letting me know they would need to make some substitutions in the flowers of the arrangement I chose (there was also a memo on their website prior to purchasing that this was a possibility due to COVID-19) During my online purchase, I miswrote the note & I contacted them by phone, &left a rambling voicemail which they promptly returned. They made the adjustments, no problem. They sent me a photo of the actual arrangement when it was complete and another email after it was delivered. highly recommended. A girlfriend in Arcata lost her mother and we wanted to send Peace Lillies. No one in Arcata had any so I found Eureka Florist through a google search, and I'm so glad I did. I spoke with Gwen who was patient and kind through my mind changes and enclosure card word changes and my call the next day to make sure the order was going out (yes, I was being "that girl", sorry and thanks, Gwen). Placing the order over the phone was easy, payment was easy, and my favorite part is that they are able to email the receipt and an update of the delivery with a picture of the actual plant they delivered so I could see exactly what she'd be receiving... and it was lovely. Oh and I emailed a quick thanks and even got an email back to that. So, five stars, and if I ever need flowers or plants delivered in the area again, I'll be calling them. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered a sympathy flower bouquet online through their website. It appears they work with FTD. My friends baby died and I wanted to send some flowers. I picked a beautiful arrangement of light pink roses and Lillie's from the sympathy section and they sent 3 Orange Lillie's, few purple half dead roses and Chrysanthemums with brightly color ribbon/rainbow ribbon tied around the vase- see the attached photos. There is no ribbon on the order I placed. I understand that sometimes substitutions need to be made but at least make the arrangement close to the order and use the same quality of flowers. If you can't, call the customer and let them know you cannot do anything close to the ordered arrangement. Ribbons don't make up for crappy, sparse flowers and half dead roses. I am in disbelief that a florist would do something like this. Send a celebration bouquet to someone that just lost a baby. Is this a sick joke? When flowers are ordered out of a sympathy section and the card eludes to a tragic time, maybe take a moment before doing what you did. I am so embarrassed and angry by the arrangement that was sent for $75. Shame on you Eureka Florist. read more

I ordered a beautiful bouquet and had them sent to a friend at St. Joseph Hospital. Sadly, they were delivered to the wrong room--I don't blame anyone as it is hard to say if it was the volunteer who delivered it to the wrong room, or what happened. All I know is that I called Eureka Florist and they spent a LOT of time investigating and finally contacted me to let me know they were sending ANOTHER bouquet at no additional cost to me. The lady I spoke to, the co-owner, was incredibly friendly and very helpful. BTW these are new owners as of December 2019. I loved the previous owners also. especially when they did my flowers for our wedding. read more

If I could do 0 stars I would. This place is a joke. I went through flowersfromyou.com and this was the florist that did the arrangement. My grandfather passed away the night before last so i ordered flowers for my grandmother. What she got look NOTHING like what I ordered. I called to see if they could fix the problem or refund me. They said that they only get 30 dollars out of it so thats why there were hardly any flowers. The flowers that were in the arrangement weren't even the right colors!!! THEN they hung up on me....3 TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They put a huge celebration type bow, kind of looked like something for a baby shower. This is for a grieving wife who lost her husband of 65 years. I'm now experiencing the nightmare that each previous review is about. I ordered flowers for my Grandmother for her birthday through FTD. Unbeknownst to my Grandmother, the arrangement delivered resembled NOTHING close to what was ordered. I called FTD and they seemed very accommodating at first, saying I would be contacted the next day for a refund. Imagine my shock when my Grandma tells me that Mary Lou from Eureka florist called her and asked her if she liked her flowers and what flowers were in the arrangement!? I was absolutely appalled and embarrassed at how unprofessional Eureka Florist was, contacting the recipient of the bouquet!! They have my contact information, why not contact me and ask what my complaint was? They also told FTD they delivered EXACTLY what was ordered (a photo will be included of what was ordered and what was delivered). After 2 more rounds of phone calls, Eureka Florist told FTD that if I wanted a refund they were going to return to my Grandmothers and TAKE THE BOUQUET BACK!!! There are almost no words for this level of unprofessionalism and lack of common decency. I advised FTD that under no uncertain terms are they given permission to return to my Grandmothers or contact her again. FTD finally agreed and stated I should be expecting a refund in the next 3-5 days. Eureka Florist managed to turn something special and enjoyable, into an ugly, stressful mess! To say the least I am less than happy. I called to order flowers for my grandmothers birthday. I live in the Sacramento area so I had to place a phone in order with delivery. I was expecting the flowers to look like the photo that was shown online. The flowers she received were nothing like the ones online. I ordered the FTD blushing beauty bouquet. Not only were the flowers disappointing the customer service was awful! The owner is the one who took my order with lots of attitude, she also took my call when I called back to let her know I was disappointed with what the flowers looked like compared to the flowers shown online. I told her that I understand that the flowers might differ a little bit from the photo shown online but that there was way to much of a difference. She told me that she could only use the flowers they had in store and I understood but I told her the arrangement of the flowers were very poor and quite frankly ugly. It appeared that someone just placed flowers in a vase and didn't trim the stems or place the flowers nicely in the vase. She told me that she saw the flowers and felt that they were fine for what I paid and she just really made it clear that she did not care one but that I was unhappy. These flowers were $55.00 and I could have bought a bouquet from a grocery store that looked nicer than the ones she received and for probably less money. She not only treated me poorly, she proceeded to hang up before I could tell her everything I wanted her to hear. I was as polite as I could possibly be and she still was rude and disrespectful! I received a plant from my grandsons for my birthday last month and it was the ugliest plant I have ever seen. It looked liked it could have been a weed. I know they spent to much money on it and I didn't have the heart to tell them that they wasted their money. They would have been better off going to Safeway and getting a bouquet as it would have been 100% better. Also the so called bow and paper they wrapped the plant in was cheap looking.
