My experiences here have ranged from phenomenal to satisfactory. Since I've appreciated using this florist for more than 3 years, I'd say this is a great track record! An occasional satisfactory experience is a-okay since there are certainly busier times and bad days. Here it is simply the case that the phenomenal experiences more than make up for the satisfactory ones. I came to Blossoms after accidentally sending a RIDICULOUS Pride season bouquet ordered over the phone from eureka florist (don't. even. the whole situation was weird.) I like the gift shop at Blossoms... there's cool stuff to check out while you wait. They schedule classes for the community. I've occasionally been met by a lot of interest or kindness from a shop tender. It's a low key fun kind of place. When I came I was looking for a queer comfy business that does kick ass flowers for all sorts of things. Including my partner's incessant allergies. What I found was a florist. One that will happily put hypoallergenic flowers for delivery into my reusable container, super Mario coffee mug, a new mason jar or vase or creative container that they offer, or let me walk out with some flowers in my hands. They've been happy to accept whatever budget I've got at the moment. I'll be a "lifer" for as long as this business needs one. read more

Outstanding costumer service!!! The most diverse and beautiful flowers at affordable prices. I called to order flowers for my friend who was spending her birthday in a physical rehab facility. The owner was incredibly helpful with the design and we stayed within my budget. Then, not only did this darling whip up a beautiful bouquet in less than an hour, but she said she would deliver it personally. When she got to the hospital, she discovered my friend had been transferred to another facility (I had no idea)!!! Well she didn't stop there!! She went and found my friend at the other facility and delivered straight to the nurse!!! I was moved to tears!!! Who would do that?! Hands down the best and only florist I will use in Humboldt County!!! read more

The florist was super nice and understood everything I wanted for my junior prom last year. The corsage and boutonnière turned out really nice. The down part was that my wrist is pretty small so the cuff didn't fit nicely, but other than that I totally recommend this place! We were so impressed with Blossoms Florist and Denise! We just had a wedding for 200 people. She listened to what we wanted, she got excited about the project and she absolutely surpassed our expectations! She came to our event site - which was almost 2 hour drive and built the tree garland on site. Her creative eye, her positive attitude and her willingness to make my daughters flower wishes come true make Blossoms our go-to florist from now on! Great prices on top of it all! Fantastic. I was in a rush for an arrangement for a dear hospitalized friend and just stopped in. In less than 10 minutes I had a beautiful arrangement that had everyone in the hospital oohing and ahhing! Lots of cute gift items in the shop too and I saw that they offer classes. Unfortunately, the worst business I worked with during my wedding. I contacted the owner more than a month before my wedding. She took more than 20 days to get an estimate to me. After that, she almost never answered my questions again. I was forced to come in to the store with my husband to choose the flowers for our wedding. She almost kicked us out because she said she did not have time for us. I tried to contact her again to make small changes to my order and ask about more flowers. I never got an answer and I was forced to cancel my bridal bouquet as well. Four days before my wedding she sent me a very rude email, stating she did not want to have anything to do with me anymore and not to come into her shop again. My husband and I wanted some explanation, as we had half of the order paid. She was totally unprofessional, she was yelling at us and said that she had no time for us because our small order was not worth her time. She said she has brides that throw thousands and thousands of dollars at her and that she did us a favor to pick up our small order last minute. We were shocked because we were still customer and we deserved better treatment. You can't work with a business that never answer. So, don't go to this place unless you have a thousand dollars to throw on her and be careful if you change your mind or she is going to loose her patience. read more

She had lovely arrangements, but she was very hard to work with and seemed like she let the stress get the best of her because trying to do a wedding and wait a month for the florist is not an ideal situation. She also canceled the flower order three days before the wedding and requested that client not come into her shop again. She added unnecessary stress to the bride and to the wedding as a whole. I think if you are a florist and you specialize in these events, compassion and patients is key, she did not show that to us. Furthermore, talent is talent, but she is not personable or empathetic. Cocky in the business world, ESPECIALLY in weddings will not get you far. I'm sure other businesses are grateful though. read more

This place is SO great. I called right when they opened, and whoever answered the phone was so polite, professional, and accommodating. I needed flowers to be delivered to my mom that day and the flowers were delivered LITERALLY 20 minutes after I called the shop. I (and my mom) are SO happy with their service and the bouquet was beautiful. read more

Absolute worst customer service experience I've ever had. For my senior prom last year in 2017 I had placed an order for a boutonniere over the phone with Blossoms Florist. I had asked for white roses with magenta ribbon. When the day had arrived my mother went to go pick up the boutonnière for me and called me immediately after seeing that the boutonnière looked nothing like my dress or like I had described to her before. She had told me that the boutonnière had peach roses and burgundy ribbon. I asked my mother to go back inside, since she hadn't left the area yet knowing that there had to have been a mess up, and ask for the correct boutonnière. The owner or manager was in there and explained that they had run out of white roses and they close soon so there was no time to run and get more, and that the closet color ribbon they had to magenta was burgundy. First of all, poor planning. During prom season you should be prepared for these things. And if for any reason you need to alter someone's order, you should first call and confirm with the customer. The owner searched around and found a few mini roses that had fallen to the bottom of a bucket and that is what was used for the boutonnière and we just settled with a different color for the ribbon. She remade the boutonnière herself, but not before complaining about how making prom girls corsages and boutonnières was worse than tending for brides, and that she doesn't even feel like doing prom flowers anymore. We didn't even get a refund, we just got a new one made on the spot. This just created a lot of stress and anger to the beginning of what is supposed to be a very special night. Needless to say, I went to pocket of posies this prom season for flowers. read more
