I had such a great experience with this business! Highly recommend! I called same day needing a delivery to Fortuna, and they worked hard to make it happen, even rearranging their schedule. It was generous and kind of them. The flowers were gorgeous and hand delivered to my parents who were so happy and pleased. Thank you for above and beyond customer service!!! read more

Every year, I hunt for daisies for my best friend's heavenly birthday and bring them to her memorial site. I hadn't exactly had the money to pre-order anything, but I got paid yesterday. I walked to Safeway on my lunch break and realized I couldn't find any white daisies. So, I decided to look for floral shops that would be open when I got off at 5 p.m., specifically calling them to ask if they had any white daisies. After a few shops said they didn't have any, I reached Pocket of Posies. A woman there said they had both white and yellow daisies. I told her I would be by after I got off work at 5 p.m. to get the white daisies, and we said our goodbyes. Around 5:15 p.m., I arrived at the shop. A woman with a little girl welcomed me inside. When I mentioned I had called earlier about the white daisies, she pointed me toward a style with more green and white petals, and then toward some yellow daisies. There were only two white daisies left. My goal was to build a bouquet, even if I had to put it together myself, which I have done in the past. I asked what her price list was, if she could build a bouquet, or what the cost might be. She proceeded to point me toward already-made bouquets instead. I then asked if there were any with white daisies(there was not). All of a sudden, she said she could not sell to me because she was closing. The shop closes at 6 p.m., which I had confirmed over the phone. I was shocked and confused, as she had been helpful up until that point. I guess she felt attacked because I was visibly sad; I had called on my lunch break specifically to get white daisies and made the trip all the way across town, only to find they didn't have what I was promised. I would have bought a basic bouquet of white and yellow flowers if she hadn't jumped straight to claiming she was closing. After I explained how frustrating the situation was, she offered to sell me the two remaining white daisies. I told her I no longer wanted to spend my money at a place where I felt disrespected--and possibly targeted by prejudice, if I didn't know any better. I am a visibly brown woman, and I had my brown boyfriend by my side. We both left the shop. As we were pulling out, I watched a man ask if she was open, and she welcomed him inside. I could tell he was a buyer because he immediately started browsing the bouquets. I will never waste my time with that business ever again. Having already had an emotional week with the recent passing of my aunt and the tragic loss of a cousin, I just wanted to celebrate my deceased best friend's birthday by bringing her some beautiful flowers, even if they weren't her exact favorites. I don't know if it was prejudice, assuming I wasn't willing to spend the $50 cash I brought, or if she simply didn't like me asking questions. Maybe she was having a bad day. Either way, there is no excuse to treat me so poorly. I was angry at first about the horrible customer service interaction, but I decided to try another shop. I found Onee's Floral Designs. The owner was immediately warm and welcoming the second I walked through the door. When I explained that I wanted to create a bouquet, she helped me put together a beautiful one, even though she didn't have any daisies. I ended up giving her $10 more than she asked for. She asked me to leave a review, and I made sure to let her know that her customer service was exactly what I needed. I briefly explained my previous experience to her because it had made me so emotional. You never know if the client walking through your doors is experiencing grief or happiness. In this case, I felt a mix of both. The horrible treatment by that first woman almost ruined my day, but Onee completely shifted my mood and brought me to tears because I was so overwhelmed by everything this week has brought me. Working in customer service is a privilege, and those of us who are empathetic are the ones who truly represent the amazing businesses in this county. You can truly make a difference in someone's day by how they leave your business. I am grateful for you, Onee. Be kind. Do better. read more

Love this place. Friendly service and great selection offered at an affordable price.

Ordered late from them for Mothers Day. My fault. I wish she would have just told me she didn't have any flowers left rather than deliver a wilted and mostly dead bouquet to my Mom. Never again. read more

Pocket of Posies - Custom wildflower bouquet - Florists Near Me - Eureka, California

Overpriced and not worth it . I drove across town to the incredibly inconvenient location. So excited to order a custom lai for my daughter for a small woman owned business but not wanting to support big box stores. Owner assured me even tho the precise flowers I wanted would not work she would make it custom and beautiful. She had a huge selection of inventory to chose from . She did not . She strung $3 worth of carnations on a string as charged me TWICE what Costco sells their beautiful orchid lais for . She didn't even use the colors i requested. Baby girl was bitterly disappointed. Never ever passing up Costco again . read more

I was looking for forget-me-nots (in mid-August) and was told it was too late. A friend suggested I call Pocket of Posies. I did and spoke with Emily who was very kind and helpful. She said she would see if they could find any locally for me, and suggested I might want to stop by and see what they have. I did and I met Annie. She was able to find a local flower grower who had just enough forget-me-nots for me (and who very kindly and generously donated some as well). Annie also helped me to find flowers that went with the FMN. Then when I went to pick them up, I felt they were missing something so she found an additional flower to go with them. I'm thankful for her patience with me and her ideas! It's a lovely little place that I'm so glad we have here. I'll definitely go back! (Back story: a dear friend of mine had died and her husband had asked that I include forget me nots in the small flower arrangements I was putting together for the tables for the gathering we were organizing after her memorial service. I wanted him to have what he requested if I could make it happen.) read more

I got married this past weekend. I hired Pocket of Posies to do our flowers. I gave April some ideas of what I wanted. I live out of the area, so I was unable to meet with her and see some ideas she had for the centerpieces, bouquets and boutonnieres. April communicated clearly throughout the process. My arrangements were absolutely stunning and the price was so so reasonable. I could not be happier. If you have any thing from a large even or just want a bouquet from your home I highly recommend pocket of posies. read more

Ordered flowers for my mom here. I like to order from local places rather than online. The person who helped me out was super friendly and thoughtful. My mom loves the bouquet! The arrangement was unique and beautiful, a very artistic creation. My mom was happy to see how it evolved over her time in the hospital and it really brightened her days. Delivery fee seemed a little high for within a small town, but it is what it is. In the end, my mom was happy, so I'm a fan and I'd probably order from them again to support local business. read more

I have been ordering consistently from PoP for about 5 years. I reside in Los Angeles but my family and closest friends are in Eureka and I won't mention other florists in the area but I've tried several and never really been impressed. I am so glad I stumbled across PoP all that time ago because each and every time I call, Heather, the owner, is so easy to work with and always gets exactly what I'm half describing over the phone. Typically I will give her a budget and she designs around it. Time and time again I am sent photos from the receiving end of a beautiful bouquet. I truly cannot say enough nice things about this shop. Thank you to Pocket of Posies for always knocking my socks off with service, and brightening the day of my mom, aunt, best friends and sisters time after time. Eureka is lucky to have you read more

I understand there are shortages of flowers during COVID-19, but I am not impressed and genuinely disappointed at how lifeless these flowers are that were delivered to my mother for Mother's Day. Spending $90 for an almost-dying flower arrangement... definitely my first and last. Luckily, I bought an orchid from Costco. read more

I was so disappointed in the boutonniere and corsage that my son purchased through them. The roses were wilted with brown edges, the boutonniere wasn't put together well, so when we pinned it one of the two roses fell forward. There wasn't pin in the boutonniere, so we had to use a safety pin and both the corsage and boutonniere fell apart two hours after putting them on. The people were very nice, but the product was below par and still cost $48.00 read more

I want to give Pocket of Posies five stars so badly! Loved the customer service. Heather was very friendly & easy to talk to over the phone when I called to inquire about my elopement wedding flowers. I went in and saw the flowers and they were great. Well on my wedding day I sent my fiancé to pick up my bouquet and two boutonnières. The boutonnières were very nice. Unfortunately a lot of the roses and large dahlias in my bouquet were already saggy when I first saw it! The bouquet would've been so perfect had they been given adequate water! He said that when he picked them up the woman working said, "looks like these need more water" and proceeded to add water to the glass vase they were in. By the time I had to take them out of the water for my wedding photos they were realllly saggy and by the end of my ceremony the roses in my $150 bouquet was pretty much done for. It was disappointing. read more

So I found this little gem a few years ago along the side of US1 when you enter into Eureka. Thanksgiving day and to my surprise the most beautiful arrangements a girl could dream. I've been ordering arrangements ever since. Mother's Day, Birthdays, Christmas-you name it! It's now our annual Thanksgiving centerpiece must have. The arrangements aren't only beautiful and floral, but so creative.. pomegranates, pears, cabbage.. so many cool pieces, colors, and textures. I wish I had access to them for all my floral needs. If you are looking for holiday arrangements/wedding florist or just a beautiful bouquet for no special occasion this is by the far the best choice you could make! If you want to be beyond stressed on your wedding day then this is the place for you. Not only were my flowers not ready until a hour before my ceremony but my bridal bouquet was very wilted. I missed out on photo opportunities with my photographer because I had to set up my floral centerpieces the hour before in a hurry. When I told the owner I was very upset with my flowers and everything that happened and I'd contact her Monday she rolled her eyes and walked away. Very unprofessional and rude. read more
