I was in a bind with a bridesmaid dress because I just kept losing weight. I had already gotten the dress hemmed, but desperately was in need of sewed in cups as well as a lift in the straps. I brought the dress in and Eugenia immediately knew what to do and told me it would be ready that same week. A big plus about this place is that she's open on Saturday. When I went to pick it up it was PERFECT! They even steamed it for me it was so sweet! Totally affordable too - under $50. Fantastic alterations for my bridesmaid dress! I made an appointment and walked into an open, spacious shop that was very clean and inviting. The owner was so pleasant and kind and we had a brief consultation prior to me putting on my bridesmaid dress. When I tried on the dress we knew it needed to be hemmed but I wanted to see what I would look like taken in and a little tighter in the waist. She pinned it for me so I could see what it would look like and I'm so glad she did because I didn't like it. She gave me her professional opinion which comes with many many years of experience to leave the dress as is and when I came back for my next fitting if I didn't like it we could change it. She was right, it was perfect as is. She is very flexible and will do anything to make sure the customer is happy! I came back for my fitting and the hem was beautiful but I needed it a bit shorter due to my shoe choice. She said no problem and had it turned around over a holiday weekend in 3 days. That is service! I have many more formal gowns that need altering and I will bring them here as the quality and service is amazing. She also does bridal gowns, pants, suits and more. Just give her a call. This is cash or check only. Parking is ample. Bring your shoes and undergarments with you if trying on a gown and have your hair either up or down as you would the day of as I think it's makes a difference. I wanted to be picky when selecting my tailor for my bridal gown and did not want to spend a fortune doing alterations where I bought my dress. After spending some time researching local shops, I ended up going to Eugenia's and I'm so happy I did! She was very kind, efficient, and all around easy to work with! Just be sure to call ahead to make an appointment since she does get booked. Also, just to avoid a lot of back and forth, be ready to bring a picture so that she knows exactly what you want, similar to going to a hair appointment. I made the mistake of not having a picture of me in my dress pinned the way I wanted it altered. After looking through my mother in law's phone and realizing the bustle was way higher than where I needed it to be, I called Eugenia in a panic because I thought she had already finished my dress a month later. Luckily, we were able to adjust and I came in for an emergency fitting. I even had some callouts on the straps as well so I'm happy we were able to set up another appointment. I also needed a beaded belt sewed on and it came in about 2 weeks before the wedding. Eugenia did a great job adding this on last minute as well. All in all, she is very willing to help and execute your vision of the perfect dress. She listened to all my requests and boy did she deliver! I was looking for a place to hem my capris and found this place. Walked in wasn't really greeted by the owner and he wasn't wearing a mask which isn't a big deal to me but you are supposed to have it on inside of any building in Florida. I showed him the capris I was trying to hem myself when my sewing machine messed up and I didn't have time to fix it yet and needed the capris fixed now. I dropped them off after he said they would be finished within 2 days. He didn't write down what I wanted or anything I said. A week later I haven't heard anything so I stopped by and he hadn't touched them. He said oh people keep walking in a I'll have them down tonight. I said ok I'll come back in 2 days. That was the next time I was available. He called me saying they were ready. I stopped by to pick up and he hemmed them the exact same way I said I don't want them done and then told me it would be another day. I arrived to pick up AGAIN and he was again very unfriendly. I have recently lost a lot of weight and need a good bit of clothes fixed but I will NOT give this guy anymore of my business. A simple 2 day fix for him to almost 2 weeks is crazy. I paid left and he followed me to my car window talking crap. Very unprofessional creepy man. read more

This was a great find. I needed a bridesmaid dress altered in a short timeframe, and she gave me confidence that it was an easy thing to get accomplished. At my fitting, Eugenia provided good guidance on re-stitching the bust of the dress, and this was a great catch. A side note is that I had to adjust the dress for 3 other bridesmaids the day of the wedding as their seamstresses did not catch this or make appropriate strong sticthing (it was a dress with a unique fit). Eugenia finished the dress on time, with perfection, and the price was reasonable. I was happy with her service and recommendations during my initial call, my initial fitting, scheduling a time for pick-up that worked for me, and the quality of her work. Eugenia shared with me that she has 20+ years of alternations experience and previously designed dresses early in her career with a designer.
