Emily helped me today. She was pleasant and efficient. I left a pair of pants that are my favorite & need new elastic in the waist. I know the job will be done well. Due to staff shortage, though, it will be at least 2 weeks before I see them again I can wait. Husband & I have been coming here for years to have jeans and shorts hemmed, elastic replaced and more. We highly recommend this tailor. They do exceptional work. You get what you pay for! I also bought earrings for $12 fo a friend. The granddaughter makes them. These bees are perfect for my friend who raises bees and sells their honey. read more

This is the ONLY place that I will take special occasion dresses for their alterations. They are detail oriented, have a timely turn around, and are fair in their pricing. If you have a dress with any sequins, beading, or detailed stitching, Georgette's is definitely where you want your alterations done. When you spend good money on a dress, you don't want to go cheaply with your alterations. Proper tailoring is a must! read more

I had a short turnaround hem for the dress I got for my son's wedding. the dress consists of 3 layers of fabric. it turned out perfectly.

I have had a number of items altered here and have always been 110% pleased. She is now only doing formal wear, so those items I will still take those there, but I have to find "second best" for my business and casual clothing. read more

Very good! Would recommend. Georgette was very nice and accommodating. The team they had the tailoring done very quickly.

I've been to Georgette's for a bride's maid dress, my daughter's flower girl dresses and my wedding gown. I had an incredible experience and the workmanship was phenomenal. My wedding gown initially had long sleeves and mid-way thru the tailoring process, I asked for the sleeves to be taken off. Typically, taking sleeves off a dress wouldn't be difficult, however, my gown had exquisite beading which required all adjustments to be addressed manually. Not only did she ensure my dress fit like a glove, she relocated parts of the beading from the long sleeves to the newly altered halter. In addition, she tailored my 2 daughter's flower girl dresses with a turn around of 48 hours. I'd highly recommend Georgette's for fit and craftsmanship! read more

I have been going here for about 4 years now and Margaret is the best...EXTREMELY reasonable prices. Anything from a wedding dress to pants hemmed, even embroidery. We have had a number of dresses and pants tailored here and the quality of alterations Margaret did done were truly fantastic. Incredibly professional. I highly recommend Georgette's Custom Tailoring to anyone who needs alterations done on any type of clothing. I had even took in a jacket we were given in Iraq and she was able to alter it to my current size and you cannot tell it was ever altered at all. Heads up the shop is on Mondays. :) read more

Georgette's Custom Tailoring - Front door entrance - Sewing & Alterations Near Me

This shop was recommended to me when I had a time-sensitive fashion emergency; I ordered a gorgeous dress from an online boutique that I frequently purchase from, but the sizing neglected to mention that the dress was SUPER long! Being vertically-challenged (5'4-1/2"), I desperately needed about 4" hemmed in order to not be falling all over the place while on vacation. I called in a panic 2 days before needing it done (which I HATE doing; I'm a planner and don't like to wait until the last minute for anything!), and she was able to get me in for a fitting and the dress beautifully hemmed within 24 hours (I'm sure she also felt more than a bit sorry for me since I was frantically begging for help lol) read more

Georgette's Custom Tailoring - Perfection! - Sewing & Alterations Near Me

I rarely need to visit a tailor, however, I was starting my new position and realized the button down shirts I was going to wear had buttons ripped off from the washing/drying machine. Being overly busy, Georgettes mentioned the time to take between 3-5 days. It was a Friday and and I needed them for first day of work on Monday. Georgette's went the extra mile and the young girl took the time to have them prepared for me on Sunday. I truly appreciated it and promised to write a great review! Also, they did a fantastic job getting all the shirt's buttons sewed on :) read more

Pricing is fair. They're very accommodating if you need something done short notice. I had a dress that needed a few alterations and I needed it back in 4 days. They said it'd take about a week to a week and a half, but when I told them when I needed it by, they said it'd be no problem. It was ready on time and fit beautifully! I plan on going here for anything I need in the future. read more

I have been going to see Margaret at Georgette's Custom Tailoring for at least 15 years. She has always done a wonderful job and gotten everything done on time and quickly. She has altered many suits and hemmed many pairs of pants for me. There is no other place I would go for alterations! read more

Very professional, accommodating, and knowledgable. She has done tons of seeing for my business and always delivers exactly what we describe. Her ability to alter clothes as well for both male and females from dresses to suits is spot on. Highly recommend. read more

Georgette's Custom Tailoring - Curtains for one of my photo booths - Sewing & Alterations Near Me

There are only three reviews on yelp so I figured I'll try this place out. I am new to the Florida area. My family and I just relocated here from Chicago. I stopped at Georgette's to tailor a suit. I will preface this review as such.. I knew that the pants were really big and that it would be an expensive job. I have no desire to ever wear this suit again. It is for a wedding that I am standing up in. I attempted to tell the owner that I never plan on wearing this suit again and that I just need something to tide me over for the night of the wedding. She seamed as if she didn't want to help me. The owners negative demeanor and tone was appalling. She said shes been in business long enough to know when to walk away and no matter what I said she knew I'd complain because the pants would never fit right. I told her again I didn't care and she flat out told me no, its not worth the time. First off, money is not an issue for me. I need to get this suit fixed to last me one night only. It is ugly and will be given to goodwill after the wedding. Second, I wear suits 5-6 days a week. I have a closet full of 15-20 suits at any given time. I purchase on average 4-5 suits a year. Being that I am new to the area, I figured great; this place is close! I can bring suits that I purchase and that fit me properly to get tailored. NOPE. I can assure you that I will NOT be taking anything to place. read more

I actually had a bad experience with Georgette's Custom Tailoring. I paid her $100 to make a dress for me, and gave her the dress pattern to use and material. Never once did she pin the pattern on me. After several visits to her shop, the dress never fit, plus the hem was uneven. When I asked her why she did not pin the pattern on me, all I got was excuses, and rude behavior! It ended with her finally giving me my $100 back, rather than have me contact the Better Business Bureau. read more

In Tarpon Springs for a quick golf vacation over the holidays... needed a pair of my son's golf pants hemmed on the fly. The women at Georgette's were super friendly, the price was very reasonable, and the work was fantastic! The pants are purple (yes, purple) and they chose a matching thread and the hem was perfect. Thank you ladies! read more

I haven't had any clothes tailored here, but I called the store for some general tailoring advice; she was very helpful over the phone and gave me excellent advice on how to shop for a bridesmaid dress and what alterations I would most likely need for my size and measurements. Very knowledgeble and helpful, especially since I wasn't paying her. read more

Came across this place thanks to Yelp and it's users! They did a wonderful job on my dress. Very friendly, helpful people working here. Seems to be family owned? Beautiful and clean inside! I've never seen such a nice tailoring place, large dressing rooms, custom cute decor... Well done. This will be my go to now! read more

Great and professional work. Was done on time a little quicker than normal for my hurried deadline. Will return!

I have come back a couple of times now. That says a lot in itself. I was greeted with kindness and professionalism. I had a couple of patches to be done on my leather vest and she did nice clean work. She even advised me when she seen an issue with placement (like pockets) and how it might be a good idea. I've got another project on a jacket and she will be the first place I go to. She does great work and she should be proud of what she delivers. read more

I brought a time sensitive garment to this location after reading some great reviews! I called ahead with my issue, and then brought it in. I explained the situation and what needed to be done. The woman didn't really listen to me, didn't have the garment tried on, took my measurements and money and ushered me out the door. I was to pick up the dress two weeks later. Around 5 pm the day before I was to pick it up, she left me a message saying she was running behind and to come in late. This was the first correspondence I'd had from her. My husband picked it up and I tried it in late the next night Nothing I had asked for was done, the garment fit horribly and I could clearly see I hadn't been listened to in the first place. I knew I was asking for a lot but if she had been unable to do it, she could have told me either on the phone or in person. Clearly my measurements were also not taken into account as the dress is three inches from fitting from the ribs down, and three inches too big at the bust. I now have a bridesmaids dress that doesn't fit and a wedding in three weeks. read more

I took a jacket with a broken zipper to Georgette's, and rather than trying to sell me a new zipper, she fixed the broken one and did not charge me anything! It was very kind and honest of her, and I will definitely bring her jobs in the future. read more

I brought in a dress to get hemmed. Turned out perfect. Fantastic work!Highly recommend!!!!

Margaret is amazing! I picked up my wedding gown from cicis bridal 3 days before my wedding and it was over 3 inches too big, it hung loose on me. It was unwearable. Bridal shop said they couldn't do anything so I brought it to Georgette's tailoring at the recommendation of my mother and Margaret brought the dress in 3 inches perfectly and in time for my wedding. She saved my wedding dress! Prices are also very reasonable here. Bridal shop alterations are way overpriced. I can't say enough good things about Georgette's! read more

Excellent service and work. So sweet and accommodating when I was in a pinch. Highly recommend

I needed to have the sleeves of a leather jacket taken in a couple of inches, it took us a few tries but Georgette worked her magic and did the job better than anyone else could have done. Was it perfect? No, it still has some flaws but leather is supposed to have charachter and leather is difficult to work with anyway and I would have no problem taking anything back to Georgette to work on. She's fair, her prices are reasonable, and she's talented. What more can you ask for? You can't go wrong with her. read more
