Ariana was a pleasure to work with. She was happy and upbeat and willing to help she made great recommendations on my dress and told me honestly it didn't need a whole lot done. Shortened some straps, pulled it in a bit and then a bustle. (The bustle did break while dancing - but i was so warm that i was holding my dress up the whole night anyways) Lovely bride recommended coming here for their dresses and I'm glad i did! One thing i would say is i was caught off guard a bit when the machine i used to pay asked me to tip. I felt awkward and tipped and when i asked others if i was supposed to tip a tailor i was told no- that's what you pay for when you go in is for them to fix your dress - so that part felt a little weird but i had great service so maybe people do tip? All in all a great experience

We got married 7/28 and I have been waiting SO LONG for my pictures so I could post this review with photos! My experience with the ladies at Ette was nothing short of amazing. I honestly feel like words can't describe how wonderful I felt in my dress, the look on my face all night shows even more than I could express! I fell in love with my dress when I tried it on at BHLDN, and fell even more in love with it after it was tailored to fit me perfectly. I had the pleasure of working with Ariana throughout the entire process, and she was better than I could have ever imagined. I wasn't exactly sure what I needed done, except for taking out the armpit area a bit. But once the dress was on Ariana knew exactly what to do. From setting up appointments to adding on last minute veil ideas (fixing my mom's veil), they made everything super easy for me I'm so thankful for that. I have been yelling Ette and Ariana's name from the roof tops since having my dress fitted here and will continue to do so forever! Also, the space is super cute!!

This is a very professional, very skilled group of people. They made this dress fit like a glove. They were easy to communicate and I found the price to be very reasonable! Plus they took a video on how to put up the bustle and my sister-in-law was praising how clever that was. Most importantly, I came during COVID and they were very good about being safe. You walk in, and immediately have to take a temperature and hand sanitize. Everyone is wearing a mask and they are very strict on limiting people in the facilities. I felt very safe during my fittings.

I had the pleasure of working with Ariana on my wedding dress alterations. She was so kind and talented! I felt that I was in good hands from the start. She made great suggestions and was honest about what she thought would and wouldn't work. I found a lace applique, that I wanted to add to the back and she placed it perfectly. It looked like it was part of the original dress. She also made modifications, so the dress would fit me like a glove. I think a good tailor is expected to be able to do this. You just hear so many horror stories. Alterations can make or ruin a dress. I am so happy I decided to go with Ette for my gown!!!

It was both too much fabric, and weird pulling on the center seam. The dress fit perfectly afterward and they completed it within a week, earlier than the pickup date I had asked for. The main issue for me was the organization during pickup. I received a text saying my dress was ready, but when I arrived they brought out a completely different piece of clothing even after I clearly described my dress. Turns out they had mixed up the name tags between my dress and someone else's. I ended up going to the back with them and immediately spotted my dress myself. I pointed it out and they asked if I was sure it was mine, which was a little strange. Then they asked me to try it on. At first I thought they just wanted to confirm the alterations looked right, but it turned out they wanted to see if it fit me to determine whether it was actually my dress. Thankfully it fit like a glove. Even after that, they still seemed unsure so I showed Yelp messages I had previously sent with photos of the dress, along with my receipt and even how much I paid. I usually throw receipts away, so thank goodness I still had it. After confirming in multiple different ways, they finally let me take my dress home. Another woman was also there picking up clothing after receiving a text notification and they were struggling to locate her item too, so it didn't seem like an isolated issue. Overall, I think the tailoring work itself is solid, but the shop felt pretty disorganized. The guy working there did apologize before I left, which I appreciated, but the whole process of having to repeatedly prove the dress was mine was definitely frustrating.

My dress was a way too big in some places and snug in others but also had a lot of detailing that makes it difficult to hem or alter. I was very stressed about getting it altered. On my first appointment, Niki walked me through everything she was going to do step by step and explained in detail what it was going to look like and answered all of my 1 million questions on what she was going to cut, what she wasn't going to cut where she was going to buttons, etc. Throughout the process, she happily addressed all my concerns at every appointment. You can tell Niki takes great pride in her work and I love that. It fits me like a glove now and I'm thrilled with how it came out! The people at this shop are so warm and friendly and make you feel right at home. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who needs a dress altered. Mine felt like it was going to be impossible to get right because of the details and construction of the dress but Niki really came through. Just make sure you bring in your clothes with plenty of time to alter because Niki cares deeply about the quality of her work and she won't want to do a sloppy rush job on your garments! And really, isn't that exactly the kind of care you want from your tailor? 10/10 would recommend!

Sew & Glow did an excellent job with my wedding dress alterations--I would give 5 stars based on…read morethe work alone. However, my experience varied greatly depending on the staff member, and my final appointment brought my rating down a star. Positives first: the woman who helped me during my second and third visits was amazing--kind, encouraging, and truly made the experience special. She complimented my dress and shoes, asked about my wedding, took photos for me, and I even saw her sweeping to keep the fitting room space clean. She also carefully explained the bustle. Unfortunately, my final visit to pick up the dress was frustrating. There was confusion locating my dress, and while it was eventually found using my receipt, it was stressful. When trying it on, the bustle initially looked incorrect, and I had to reference photos from a prior visit to help fix it. I was also accidentally pinched while the detachable bow was being attached, and it was initially placed incorrectly. The dressing room also was not swept and seeing dark hairs on the floor and pins from a prior customer was unsettling. When I asked for guidance on storing the dress in the garment bag (which I had paid to have steamed), I was given no assistance. Additionally, my dress was placed in a fitting room that was used by another customer while I was paying, which felt unprofessional. At checkout, I felt rushed to leave while waiting for my Uber, and there was no acknowledgment or well-wishes when I left, which was disappointing given the significance of the purchase. The alterations themselves were well done--taken in at the sides, straps adjusted, bust tightened, hemmed, and steamed--for $700, which matched the original quote and seemed reasonable compared to other shops. Overall, it was great alteration work and there was definitely one standout employee. But the inconsistent customer service--especially during my final visit--impacted my experience.
