Ariana was a pleasure to work with. She was happy and upbeat and willing to help she made great recommendations on my dress and told me honestly it didn't need a whole lot done. Shortened some straps, pulled it in a bit and then a bustle. (The bustle did break while dancing - but i was so warm that i was holding my dress up the whole night anyways) Lovely bride recommended coming here for their dresses and I'm glad i did! One thing i would say is i was caught off guard a bit when the machine i used to pay asked me to tip. I felt awkward and tipped and when i asked others if i was supposed to tip a tailor i was told no- that's what you pay for when you go in is for them to fix your dress - so that part felt a little weird but i had great service so maybe people do tip? All in all a great experience

We got married 7/28 and I have been waiting SO LONG for my pictures so I could post this review with photos! My experience with the ladies at Ette was nothing short of amazing. I honestly feel like words can't describe how wonderful I felt in my dress, the look on my face all night shows even more than I could express! I fell in love with my dress when I tried it on at BHLDN, and fell even more in love with it after it was tailored to fit me perfectly. I had the pleasure of working with Ariana throughout the entire process, and she was better than I could have ever imagined. I wasn't exactly sure what I needed done, except for taking out the armpit area a bit. But once the dress was on Ariana knew exactly what to do. From setting up appointments to adding on last minute veil ideas (fixing my mom's veil), they made everything super easy for me I'm so thankful for that. I have been yelling Ette and Ariana's name from the roof tops since having my dress fitted here and will continue to do so forever! Also, the space is super cute!!

This is a very professional, very skilled group of people. They made this dress fit like a glove. They were easy to communicate and I found the price to be very reasonable! Plus they took a video on how to put up the bustle and my sister-in-law was praising how clever that was. Most importantly, I came during COVID and they were very good about being safe. You walk in, and immediately have to take a temperature and hand sanitize. Everyone is wearing a mask and they are very strict on limiting people in the facilities. I felt very safe during my fittings.

I had the pleasure of working with Ariana on my wedding dress alterations. She was so kind and talented! I felt that I was in good hands from the start. She made great suggestions and was honest about what she thought would and wouldn't work. I found a lace applique, that I wanted to add to the back and she placed it perfectly. It looked like it was part of the original dress. She also made modifications, so the dress would fit me like a glove. I think a good tailor is expected to be able to do this. You just hear so many horror stories. Alterations can make or ruin a dress. I am so happy I decided to go with Ette for my gown!!!

I attended the Italian Dinner Party with a couple friends as a Friday night outing. I'll preface…read moremy review by saying that I had certain expectations given that I'd been to a couple cooking classes at the Chopping Block. The class/party was three hours long (6:30 - 9:30). The first portion of the event is time to just drink and socialize (Bespoke is BYOB) while indulging in the fruit and cheese that's provided. The actual cooking started around 7:15. We were split into four groups with one group working on salad, one on appetizers, one on entree and one on dessert. Because of my experience with other cooking classes, I was definitely under the impression that we'd be given the opportunity to learn and cook all items on the menu so being the wanna-be chef that I am, I was a little off put when I realized that I'd only get to cook one course. I think the verbiage on the website is a bit misleading because it is presented as though each group is preparing a multi-course meal, not that each group is preparing a portion of a multi-course meal. Also, i thought the groups were a bit large. There were seven people in our group which I felt made it even harder to truly get the experience cooking the one course we were assigned since responsibilities had to be spread out amongst more people. Now for the good stuff.....I thought the menu was awesome. I actually was more impressed with the Bespoke menu than many of the menus at The Chopping Block. Our menu consisted of arancini stuffed with panchetta, white bean and rosemary bruschetta with cured egg yolk, chicken saltimbocca with creamy polenta and sicilian broccoli, and almond cake with chocolate sauce. The arancini and almond cake were out of this world good. Also, the owners/chefs were super friendly and helpful, but I do feel that the Chopping Block chefs are more knowledgeable....at least from my experience. I'd say if you're looking for a fun night out with friends and you're looking to just let loose and be social while doing a whee bit of cooking this is your spot. It truly is a dinner party (emphasis on party). If you're like me and you're looking to actually up your culinary skills I'd recommend going to a true cooking class, which is not what I'd consider Bespoke to be.

Besides keeping hands far away from the incredibly hot grill, following are a few things I learned from the cooking class/meal at Bespoke. You want to get there early if you have your heart set on making a specific dish. If not, you might end up making something less interesting, like the salad. Though each part of the meal is made by a different group, you will get to try all the dishes during the meal and every recipe is later emailed to you. It's BYOB. If you take wine, they will uncork it for you and put a label on the bottle so you don't forget which one is yours. The instructors are knowledgeable, informative, and entertaining. A lot of your experience can depend on the random strangers in your group for the food preparation or sitting next to you during the meal. We were at a table of couples and had some very lively conversation. Though this could be fun to do with a group of friends, part of the experience is getting to know new people. The recipes for our meal were excellent. Even the salad had interesting elements like picked green beans. If you are looking for a cooking class that emphasizes technique, this is not the right one for you. The Bespoke experience is more about a fun time, a good meal, and recipes that you can try later.

I found Zeglio by accident years ago when I needed to get a cheap tuxedo altered for my sister's wedding. When I walked in, I was quickly greeted by Richard. He happily suggested a nearby place for alterations, but before I left, he put one of Zeglio's bespoke jackets on me to show me the difference in fit. When I left that day, I knew I wanted to have my wedding tuxedo created by these people. When that day finally came, I called Zeglio's Lakeview location to begin the process. My call was warmly answered by Richard and the experience began. Richard is an incredibly talented and knowledgeable designer. During the design portion, he was informative, patient, and considerate, which made the whole experience really enjoyable. I did my fitting and alterations at Zeglio's store in Loop. The place is super slick inside and the tailors really make you feel important: from the professionalism all the way to the small details most people would overlook, but makes a HUGE difference (suggesting I have the length of one of my shirt sleeves shorter than the other so my watch can be visible or altering the length of my pants so my socks show when I'm sitting down). Just an amazing attention to detail! My tuxedo only required a few minor adjustments. When I finally put everything on I was shocked at how flawless everything felt--I've never worn anything that has fit me so perfectly. This tuxedo made my wedding experience so much better. I wasn't nervous because I knew I looked good! It's amazing how your confidence is affected by the clothing you wear in a situation.
