Pros-Nail Tech was friendly (as well as front desk staff). Nail Tech did a great job with the my daughters's nails (style). Cons-Roaches! *sigh* I saw one on the chair my daughter was sitting in (tried the kill it, but was told not to [blank stare on my face]). I see my daughter was s but uncomfortable-so I stayed standing up to look around. I see another one and told the front desk staff-I was told that they have a few due to the restaurant upstairs. I told her it's not a good look. She replied with - nothing out the ordinary in Spanish (grabbed it with a paper towel). I see another one in the wall...due to this, we will not be returning.

I was satisfied with how kind they were, COVID clean. What I was not okay with was how online I could only book with one person because that was the only nail tech available. I figured that's fine, and on top of that, Gel Acrylic Fill in $32. Thought that was great. Then I get a phone call to move my appt a little later because they only had 1 nail tech. I agreed to it. When I show up I see more than 1 nail tech. So I was a bit confused. Moving on I'm seated and am told to pick out my color. My nail tech comes up to me and says, "did you still want ombré? Because I can't do ombré." I was a bit disappointed because I figured, every nail tech should be ready for whatever they request. I just told her it was fine and that I needed a fill and trim down of nails. During the whole process I was taken care of with attention. I just had 3 issues. 1) when she applied the drill to trim down the pressure was a lot and my nails are in pain. 2) when applied the material to start the fill in I'm not sure what it was, if bond was not applied before but I feel a heavy burning sensation. Eventually it went away. 3.) the price threw me off. Online it said fill in - $32 trim down - $5. So $40 is what I should pay right? Wrong. They charged me $80. $80?!?! I thought it was ridiculous because it wasn't even a brand new set with no design or anything. I've never paid more than $60 for a set of gel acrylic nails. I won't be coming here again. I appreciate the attentiveness and COVID procedures but it's not fair to have a price online and tell your customers a new price in store.

THIRD UPDATE: Eterna has amazing customer service. The owner Seyi reached out to me the next day and offered me complimentary service to repair my nails. She advised on who I should go to to get the best result and told me my preferred nail tech has moved on to her own shop which is why I had to take whomever last time. This tech was meticulous. She did upsell a pedicure SEAMLESSLY and I will admit I needed it lol, but my nails are PERFECT. My nails did grow and get stronger under the dip and the new color is amazing. Love it.

I'm usually the type of person who usually don't get their nails done unless it's a special occasion this occasion was my birthday I had previous booked somewhere else and they had canceled last minute so I decided to go to Wheaton Mall and went to every single nail salon showed them a picture of what I wanted For pricing.Eterna spa. Was the cheapest and the woman was very confident that she could do the work her name was Annie. She did an amazing job and took her time even when the mall close she was not rushing to finish my nails. She was very helpful and gave me her charger when my phone was dying and we had great conversation. throughout the process she kept checking if I like the quality of Work reinsuring me that she have cared. She was 10 out of 10 I would highly recommend her. The photos I took are week old and still look brand new.

First time at Eterna Day Spa today and I will definitely be back!! Booking is super easy and everyone is so nice. Hannah did my pedicure and did a fantastic job. Sofia did an incredible job on my acrylic full set!! They turned out better than the reference photo. The spa is lovely, clean, and comfortable. Amazing experience overall, highly recommend!

I am suuuuper disappointed to have to update my review but I have to. I got to hold everybody accountable equally. Like my previous review stated I was excited to find and patronize a black owned nail shop. I found a nail tech that is my absolutely favorite go-to, Binh, Love HIM! In fact all my 3 stars are for him. Easy to talk to, down to earth, does exactly what I ask for. Unfortunately, Binh is in nursing school and only available on the weekends and he doesnt do fancy designs or acrylics....This is where I deviated. I have long healthy, thick beautiful nails that everyone always compliments or thinks are fake nails--NOPE they are MINE. I keep them this way by not allowing any nail techs to drill with an efile and no they cant compensate by manually filling either. Against my better judgement I caved in.... My BF proposed in 2020 and I decided to try an acrylic overlay because I wanted to have long natural nails on my wedding day--BIG mistake. Since Binh does not do acrylics I let another Nail Tech whom I shall not mention do my nails. Shes very nice, personable, conversationalist and a joy to be around but she royally messed up my nails. Each time I went in for a fill she would POP OFF the old acrylic (I guess to get a good bond) taking layers of my natural nail underneath with it (see pictures). Each appointment I would ask her to not do that. But she would distract me and do it anyway. This lasted for about 4 visits, by that time the damage was done and I accepted that I would have to start over. I went back to Binh who was able to rehab my nails and In the Summer of 2021 I did some research and wanted to try out PolyGel and a Russian manicure, I heard the efiling was more gentler and the nail spa I went to was NOT Asian owned and I could have a conversation with the owner. After my wedding, I cut my nails down and came back to Eterna. One visit with Binh, that was great and then my last appointment was with Hannah on Jan 15 2022. This will be my last visit. Unfortunately Hanna was too rough with my cuticles not sure if her tools werent sanitized properly but I caught an infection in my left index finger called paronychia. Reached out to the spa to notify them before I posted this review and never heard back. I waited long enough so Im posting. I found a natural nail care salon that specializes in caring for your nails and I cant wait to try them. Im sorry to say Sayonara to Eterna though. Good Luck! Edit: Owner immediately called to apologize and refund me for the service. She didn't shift blame or deny. Now that's customer service! I'm super sad to leave now maybe I'll be back if Binh is still around and the new place doesn't work out.

Since my last review, I've been to Eterna Day Spa two more times. I came in September with 2 of my bridesmaids for my wedding. I was 5 or 10 minutes late for my appointment and they still kept our appointments. I was super grateful! One of my bridesmaids thought her experience was only okay. I had a good experience though. I think they hired a photographer that day to take photos of me and my wedding crew for their website... since 2 of my bridesmaids cancelled, it changed things and I think the photographer was kind of annoyed and that left negative energy. ANYWAY... I'm here leaving another 5 star review because of my experience with Anne 3 weeks ago! I came in without an appointment and was able to be seen 5 minutes after arriving. It was super busy so I was grateful they were able to take me in with no problem. Anne's SNS mani was one of the best manis I had in terms of presentation... she really took her time shaping my nails and applying the dipping powder and what not! One nail finally chipped today so it lasted 21 days. I've been getting SNS for many months now and with all the handwashing I do at my job, they start chipping at 14 days. Idk what Anne did but I was sooo happy they looked so nice and lasted so long. I'll be back. P.s. be sure to join their rewards program! I ended up saving $27 on my sns manicure from reward points I accrued.

Soo, my nails are already beginning to chip on the 2nd day. Sophia did an okay job. She was going way too fast and not really paying attention to what needed to be done :/ I didn't even receive cuticle oil at the end. I was running 4min late and she believed I wasn't going to show. I would still recommend this Spa. I now go to Annie who is hilarious and a perfectionist .. exactly what you need in a nail expert. Her work is amazing, because of that, she's always booked. Aside from that Seyi is always pleasant. The quality of service reminds you of a mom and pop store but its obviously in a mall.

I just moved to the Silver Spring area and desperately needed to find a lash technician. My girlfriend recommended going to this spa to see Lucy, and I am so happy with her services. She first gave me lash extensions that perfectly blended with my natural lash color (blonde) and the shape was beautiful! They lasted very long too. They looked so natural and pretty. Recently, she gave me a tint and lift and it looks amazing. She really takes her time and is extremely professional, and is very sweet. I would highly recommend going to see her for any type of eye lash service, she is so talented and always delivers beautiful results every time! It is worth every penny. Update: The owner of the spa is a class act and really does care about her customers. She reached out within minutes of my posting this review, told me I could come ASAP and was very thoughtful and generous. She also indicated that she spoke to the receptionist, who now understands why I was upset. I did appreciate her offer to make up for my experience, but her sincere apology and genuine effort to mentor her receptionist are enough for me. I won't be going tonight, but I will try soon and look forward to updating this again--with pictures. :) Their customer service and reliability is awful. This was to be my first mani/pedi since Covid and needless to say, I was excited. Just as I was heading out the door for my appointment, I got a call asking if I was willing to push it back 40 minutes because they were running late. When I said that might be ok, the receptionist asked if I was sure because the services "take a long time and they close at 7 pm." If the spa couldn't fit me in (1) let me know when I'm trying to book the appointment--I can go elsewhere: (2) don't call me 20 minutes before the appointment to inform me you need to push it back 40 minutes and aren't even confident that will work; and (3) when I agree to accommodate you, then say "just kidding, can you come another time altogether." Nail salons have been hurt by the pandemic. I'm sure another place would have loved for me to book an appointment on a Wednesday evening. And, despite the receptionist's clueless attitude, my schedule and reliance on appointments is is just as important as whatever their priorities are. Could they stay in business if customers jerked them around about when they'll show up or not show up at all? read more

I went in as a walk-in, was greeted kindly and was immediately sat down for my service which I was pleasantly surprised by because it was a Saturday! Kathy did my acrylic nails, which she did a great job with. I've had some bad experiences in the past with acrylics as technicians have sometimes been too rough with my nails but Kathy was incredibly gentle. The woman at the front also set me up with an account and I learned later that night that they offer student discounts which I appreciate deeply! I look forward to going back again! read more

My first visit before my birthday was wonderful! I was greeted and was presented with a bottle water. My nail tech Kathy was very warm and inviting with great service and care. I received a dip nail manicure and French pedicure in which it was done gently proficient. Her work was beautiful and she suggested I download app for additional discounts in future. I really wanted this place to work out based on its location but I won't be visiting anymore. It's simply not worth it. Not consistent and the nail techs seem to be really "pushy" (see photo of cut nail after flinching and telling nail tech it hurt) and inefficient with their time. *sigh* are there any decent nail salons in the Wheaton area???? I wanted to update my review to say thank you to Seyi B the manager at Eterna Day Spa. After my unfortunate experience she reached out to me and turned my experience into a good one. It was still a bit chaotic while I was there but overall I was provided with good customer service. The receptionist was super sweet. There was another lady who I assume is another manager or owner who was nice and friendly. Not sure. However, Hannah the nail tech who took care of me was super nice. She kept up small talk with me. She made sure I was comfortable. And most importantly she took her time. It was as if my previous review was shared with her and she knew exactly what to do. She basically corrected all the wrongs the previous tech did. She massaged my calves really well. She made sure to clean up around my nails. She even brought a heater over to dry my toes and keep me warm. The staff really made me feel as if I mattered as a customer. And I appreciated that. My feet are soft and look pretty. I will be coming back to get my lashes done very soon. Thank you again. read more

I found my new nail place!!! I was going to a very busy nail salon, but after a suggestion from a friend I tried this place. Very relaxed feeling. Linda was so nice and sweet. Loved that you could book an appointment online. They have all the latest colors and she has the cutest little designs you can get for only five dollars extra, a gel mani was only $30!!! If you download the app you get five dollars off as well. Linda even suggested a fun color combo for me, I loved that! It's so hard to decide on a color. Lol read more

Poor service and overpriced. Called the salon 5-10 mins before my arrival to see if they had any nail technician available for SNS/dip powder. They did. It was around 2 o'clock on Tuesday when I arrived. I sat down and my nail technician plugs in her headphones and has either started watching a show or is listening to a podcast on her phone. Very unprofessional. Then she had me soak my nails in hot water to remove the SNS polish. (Side note- I've been to MANY salons, and I've never had to soak my nails in hot water to remove the nail polish.) Not sure if this was suppose to be a "healthier"/ more natural way of removing SNS than acetone or not, but my fingers were burning. Meanwhile, the nail technician starts using some her supplies to remove her own nail polish. And starts picking at her nail polish with some tool I don't know the name of. Yeah, not very good hygiene. I soaked my nails for about 10-15 mins while she's still watching/listening to her phone and picking at her nails with some tool. I'm easily irritated at this point. Once she started shaping my nail and everything I told her to cut them down even more, and she ignored me. As she was doing my nails, she was applying very strong pressure on the finger she was doing. I didn't like the way my nails turned out. I was highly unsatisfied with the service and overall experience here and will not be returning. read more

Awesome spa! Awesome service. Gel mani and pedis are my thing but you absolutely have to try their facials. They are kind. They don't do a rushed job but your time isn't wasted either. My gel usually last the 2 weeks or more. They're super clean and not over priced. Excellent excellent service. I got about once to twice a month. Guys let's talk lashes. The owner did my lashes a few weeks ago and when I say I was so impressed and have been receiving compliments every since.... Go and ask for Seyi. I won't get my lashes done anywhere else. read more

My experience here was nothing short of amazing!!! I made an appointment online but when I came in they were busy. Even though pack I was still greeted politely and attended to. I waited about 10 minutes then was directed to sit with Sophia. SOPHIA IS THE BEST NAIL TECH I HAVE EVER HAD! She is quick, precise, and above all very sweet. I came in for a gel manicure and pedicure. I didn't have an appointment but was able to get a pedicure right away. I will say that the pedicure went fine and the massage chairs were nice. However, my manicure was probably the worse experience I've ever had at a salon. I had the same person assist me for both the pedicure and manicure, but she ended up injuring the cuticles on over half of my fingers- at least 5 were bleeding and stinging. It's been a few days and several of my cuticles are still bleeding and sore. I gave an extra star because the pedicure was good but I don't know what happened during the manicure. I'd be very hesitant to come here again due to the bad experience. read more

I enjoyed going to Eterna to get a basic manicure done during an evening where it was later than usual getting home. I usually go to another place to get my nails and toes done faithfully, but since they close at 8, I came here since they stay open until the mall closes. I went in on a Thursday evening around 8, which wasn't busy at all. I was seen almost right away, chose a color, and the nail technician went to work. Unfortunately, Eterna is not as clean as my regular nail salon, as they use the same tools on multiple clients it seems and a fresh set wasn't used. However, the technician I had for my manicure was amazing. She was very detailed, didn't rush through the service and was very attentive to what I wanted without up selling me on any other services I didn't want at the time. The other place I usually go to rush through the services, but she did not which was refreshing. My nails came out great for a basic manicure service. I would recommend this salon if you need a quick manicure done during the evenings. Depending on the technician and the service, I believe, you'll have a good experience. read more

Today was my 1st time going to Eterna. I arrived about 30 minutes til closing time so I thought they would reject me or try to rush and not do a great job. They did exactly the opposite. Carolina, the nice gal who did my pedicure took her time and gave me an excellent pedicure! I suffer from regular in grown nails and she meticulously and patiently worked to take them out. She didn't rush or take short cuts. She spent almost an hour on my pedicure and gave a great leg and foot massage. I am very happy with my experience and will definitely be going back to see Carolina! Thank you! read more

Eterna Day Spa is Marvelous. You are greeted with smiles, bottle of waters and a great host. I had my pedicure, gel manicure, and my eyebrows waxed by Kim. Kim did an amazing job. She went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. Amazing job Kim. Oh and also, the salon is very clean, massage chairs included, and a great host. Definitely going back. read more

Lash Extensions I followed Ken from VA to this location and I wouldn't drive 45 minutes if he wasn't worth it. The lashes are applied well and you can tell he's very experienced. I trust him with my lashes and to give me the look I requested. I've had my eyelashes done by many but he has been the best so far. read more

I started going to Eterna Spa almost a year ago when my daughter referred me, while preparing for my older daughter's wedding. We were asked to use Sophia since I was having Acrylic nails and manicure, I went with her but noticed that she was very rough in handling my nails, I mentioned to her that I should feel very relaxed like while having a pedicure or manicure not feeling uptight or sore but she ignored my plea. She finally finished, the outcome was okay but I felt my total experience could have been better. I tried her again the second time to take off my acrylic and put in a new one, I felt so much pain in how she was literally forcing the Acrylic off my already tender nails at that point I decided never to go to her again or use gel on my real nails based on my painful experience with Sophia. read more

For acrylic nails experience - I use to get my nails done here and it was pretty standard but this last time it was pretty terrifying. I was paired up with a new girl and she did not know what she was doing. The work station was not prepped or cleaned, the light was not turned on, no visible certification of her being a legit nail technician. I had to coach her on what a stiletto nail shape looked like for every finger, no consistency with filing down the acrylic powder. The layer of acrylic was so thick, it took her forever to file it down. The overall process took 1.5 hours. I had to stop her before putting on the nail polish and get another person to even out my nails. She definitely needed more training and another nail technician even laughed when I showed him. Waste of my time. I will not be returning. Do your research before going here on who you want to get your nails done with. read more

I needed to get waxed before spring break and I was looking up lots of places and I learned that waxing is really expensive... This place had pretty good prices and I got an amazing wax all over. My arms feel so soft, and when I got my eyebrows done, it wasn't too thin or uneven or anything. Annie is absolutely the best! She's so nice and she did a great job. She was so considerate of what I thought and never moved on to another spot until we both knew it was good. Can't wait to go back again for summer or before another spring break! read more

Suddenly, she thrust her hand under the apron cape and groped around for the glasses in my breast pocket. That felt aggressive, invasive. These people don't deserve my money.

I got a 50 minute massage, and Judy made sure to ask what I felt comfortable with beforehand and if I had any problem areas. During the massage I got warm pillows on my back, a heated massage bed, and when it was time to be on my stomach, something to cover my eyes, a warm neck pillow, AND the bed was adjusted for maximum comfort. All that being said, Judy used pressure in ways that got the knots out but didn't make me want to cry. She used multiple techniques (fingers/arm/etc??) at the same time so there were different pressures and feels as the massage went on. I have no idea how to explain it but she has magic hands! Trust me!

They were thin, whispy, pre-made fans that were poorly glued onto only some of my lashes. They started falling off almost immediately, and there were visible white clumps of glue that a friend pointed out because she thought I had crumbs on my eyes. One week later when I went to another eyelash studio, they couldn't even tell I had any extensions on until they put me under the lights. I would've been better off just curling my own lashes & using mascara because mine are thicker & longer than whatever they used. I've never had such poor quality.

This is the place to go to get the works, from a relaxing pedicure to enhance your nails. Binh is my favorite when it comes to a pedicure, I broke my toenail the night before and he took care of it, making all my toes look even, color and ingrown nails are not a challenge for him. He always recommends what color fits the best, even when I'm thinking about another color, I always follow his gut. When it comes to my set of acrylic nails and eyebrows, Annie is the best!! I came 4 weeks ago and my nails did not lift, nor break or chip. She worked her magic and my nails came out even better that expected. With this pandemic situation, the place has a division between you and the employees, chairs and hardware and cleaned and sanitized between customers, they are working 50% capacity. Your temperature is taken upon arrival and you have to sign a waiver, before coming in. Definitely my place to go, without even thinking about how long I have to wait or how much time in advance I need to make an appointment, being here is always worth the hassle. read more

I have been a customer for many years, obviously due to my great experiences, and finally writing a long - due review. I let my nails (manicure, pedicure) and eyelashes (premium) done and always have been extremely pleased with the results. Besides the fact that all of the workers master their skills, they are friendly, sweet and eager to help out quickly. My personal shout-out goes to Lucy and Shay who manage the spa so extremely well and are on top of everything, and of course to my ladies Annie, Le and Kati who knows how to make my nails exactly the way I like it. I have been going to Eterna Day Salon for awhile now. Sophia is my regular eyebrow tech. and she has my eyebrows looking Gucci at every appointment! Sophia also suggested I get a gel French pedicure when I wanted to get a pedicure done. She made my toes dazzle for my anniversary celebration. When I chipped the polish on my nail swimming, Sophia fit me in on the fly to repair the nail and touched up a couple other nails - to have everything looking on point. She is awesome! I have had my lashes done at other places and it did not turn out well due to my sensitive eyes. As a result, I was skeptical about trying Eterna, but I did anyway and I completely loved it. Shay first did my lashes a couple of months ago and I have and will keep coming back to her. My eyes were not irritated and I had no issues with wearing my contacts. Also, she really cares about you as a client and her lashes have looked the most natural and lasted the longest. Everyone keeps complimenting me on my lashes and asking me what mascara I use. I've been to other nail salons in the Wheaton area but after having a not so great experience at one of the larger salons, I found Eterna Day Spa on Yelp and will definitely be going back! I got a pedicure with Binh and he took such time and care making sure my nails came out perfectly. When he was prepping my nails for polish and noticed that there was still a patch of dry skin on the bottom of my foot, he went back and buffed it until it was smooth. Lucy is fantastic! I love the lashes she does for me! She also really listens to any requests about shape, length etc. You can ask for anything you'd like, and then the next time you can tailor to whatever you'd like to change! You can go natural for a month, lush and long for another, curly and cute, cat eye, round eye, just the outer corners...or anything that you want to try!!! I visited Eterna for the first time this past Friday. Not even a week later and this is how my nails look. The white polish on my nails and toes easily stain so I am constantly having to use alcohol to attempt bring the color back. A few nails are already lifting around the sides and the polish on my thumb is chipped. I get white polish quite often and never had this issue before. I had high hope that Eterna would be the salon I could visit on a regular basis. But seeing my nails look like this has me thinking otherwise. read more

An eyelash designer, Kim, knew her craft and spent a lot of time on details, she did really professional work. I really liked the look. I went here when I got terrible cluster eye lash extensions done. Ken took them off and I got the mink eye lash extensions done. They lasted through a cruise and the ocean! I'm a first time customer and I honestly feel like the service wasn't the as good as I expected. I got gel acrylics and a pedicure. My nails were uneven and they left residue underneath nails the woman doing my nails was on her phone the entire time. I've been going to eterna day spa for 8 months and they have been amazing! I love being able to go in quickly, refill my eyelashes, and get out. They work with you to set up appointments that are great for you. I have seen Lucie, Lin, and Ken and I love them all! Parking is great and service is quick, easy, and painless. read more

The first time I went to this salon my experience was amazing. I had Sophia do my nails and she was great. Her technique is exceptional and she pays attention to details. Went to Lynn to get my very first set of mink eyelash extensions and I loved it! It was a time consuming process but it was worth it. Lynn was so nice, and helpful and made my extensions look so natural. It is now almost 4 weeks since I got them done and my lashes still look great. Will definitely be going back! read more

I booked a facial for my wife while visiting the Silver Spring area for a wedding and we decided to try eterna day spa out. We had an amazing experience, the staff was nice, the facial was so relaxing and my wife's face is glowing.
