I was satisfied with how kind they were, COVID clean. What I was not okay with was how online I could only book with one person because that was the only nail tech available. I figured that's fine, and on top of that, Gel Acrylic Fill in $32. Thought that was great. Then I get a phone call to move my appt a little later because they only had 1 nail tech. I agreed to it. When I show up I see more than 1 nail tech. So I was a bit confused. Moving on I'm seated and am told to pick out my color. My nail tech comes up to me and says, "did you still want ombré? Because I can't do ombré." I was a bit disappointed because I figured, every nail tech should be ready for whatever they request. I just told her it was fine and that I needed a fill and trim down of nails. During the whole process I was taken care of with attention. I just had 3 issues. 1) when she applied the drill to trim down the pressure was a lot and my nails are in pain. 2) when applied the material to start the fill in I'm not sure what it was, if bond was not applied before but I feel a heavy burning sensation. Eventually it went away. 3.) the price threw me off. Online it said fill in - $32 trim down - $5. So $40 is what I should pay right? Wrong. They charged me $80. $80?!?! I thought it was ridiculous because it wasn't even a brand new set with no design or anything. I've never paid more than $60 for a set of gel acrylic nails. I won't be coming here again. I appreciate the attentiveness and COVID procedures but it's not fair to have a price online and tell your customers a new price in store. read more

She advised on who I should go to to get the best result and told me my preferred nail tech has moved on to her own shop which is why I had to take whomever last time. This tech was meticulous. She did upsell a pedicure SEAMLESSLY and I will admit I needed it lol, but my nails are PERFECT. My nails did grow and get stronger under the dip and the new color is amazing. Love it. read more

She did an amazing job and took her time even when the mall close she was not rushing to finish my nails. I am suuuuper disappointed to have to update my review but I have to. I got to hold everybody accountable equally. Like my previous review stated I was excited to find and patronize a black owned nail shop. I found a nail tech that is my absolutely favorite go-to, Binh, Love HIM! In fact all my 3 stars are for him. Easy to talk to, down to earth, does exactly what I ask for. Unfortunately, Binh is in nursing school and only available on the weekends and he doesnt do fancy designs or acrylics....This is where I deviated. I have long healthy, thick beautiful nails that everyone always compliments or thinks are fake nails--NOPE they are MINE. I keep them this way by not allowing any nail techs to drill with an efile and no they cant compensate by manually filling either. Against my better judgement I caved in.... My BF proposed in 2020 and I decided to try an acrylic overlay because I wanted to have long natural nails on my wedding day--BIG mistake. Since Binh does not do acrylics I let another Nail Tech whom I shall not mention do my nails. Shes very nice, personable, conversationalist and a joy to be around but she royally messed up my nails. Each time I went in for a fill she would POP OFF the old acrylic (I guess to get a good bond) taking layers of my natural nail underneath with it (see pictures). Each appointment I would ask her to not do that. But she would distract me and do it anyway. This lasted for about 4 visits, by that time the damage was done and I accepted that I would have to start over. I went back to Binh who was able to rehab my nails and In the Summer of 2021 I did some research and wanted to try out PolyGel and a Russian manicure, I heard the efiling was more gentler and the nail spa I went to was NOT Asian owned and I could have a conversation with the owner. After my wedding, I cut my nails down and came back to Eterna. One visit with Binh, that was great and then my last appointment was with Hannah on Jan 15 2022. This will be my last visit. Unfortunately Hanna was too rough with my cuticles not sure if her tools werent sanitized properly but I caught an infection in my left index finger called paronychia. Reached out to the spa to notify them before I posted this review and never heard back. I waited long enough so Im posting. I found a natural nail care salon that specializes in caring for your nails and I cant wait to try them. Im sorry to say Sayonara to Eterna though. Good Luck! Edit: Owner immediately called to apologize and refund me for the service. She didn't shift blame or deny. Now that's customer service! Since my last review, I've been to Eterna Day Spa two more times. I came in September with 2 of my bridesmaids for my wedding. I was 5 or 10 minutes late for my appointment and they still kept our appointments. I was super grateful! One of my bridesmaids thought her experience was only okay. I had a good experience though. I think they hired a photographer that day to take photos of me and my wedding crew for their website... since 2 of my bridesmaids cancelled, it changed things and I think the photographer was kind of annoyed and that left negative energy. ANYWAY... I'm here leaving another 5 star review because of my experience with Anne 3 weeks ago! I came in without an appointment and was able to be seen 5 minutes after arriving. It was super busy so I was grateful they were able to take me in with no problem. Anne's SNS mani was one of the best manis I had in terms of presentation... she really took her time shaping my nails and applying the dipping powder and what not! One nail finally chipped today so it lasted 21 days. I've been getting SNS for many months now and with all the handwashing I do at my job, they start chipping at 14 days. Idk what Anne did but I was sooo happy they looked so nice and lasted so long. I'll be back. P.s. be sure to join their rewards program! I ended up saving $27 on my sns manicure from reward points I accrued. read more

I came to Eterna for a pedicure, the service was okay, hence the 1-star. But over in the other room I saw a mouse running around. I told the lady who was doing my toes what I saw, because I saw it run around twice. She chuckled and told me they leave their droppings. How disgusting! I told her IDC I shouldn't be seeing it. Sounds like they are used to it, maybe he was on his break. Sometimes people come with their kids, or leave their bags, sometimes coats on the floor, and of course their shoes when they are getting pedicures. If it would've ran over someone's personal items, that would've been fatal. This is nasty; never receiving service here. Will call let manager or higher up know! read more

However, when we showed up at the salon, the doors were locked and the staff was sitting outside saying they had no idea when they would be able to open. The staff waiting outside the salon said they were cancelling other morning appointments because of this debacle. We waited about 15 minutes before walking to another nail salon in the mall to see if they could accommodate us. Edit - adjusting my rating because the owner immediately called me upon finding out about the situation and explained that they couldn't open the locks and were waiting for a locksmith. She offered a free service sometime in the future for our trouble. An unfortunate situation, but I appreciate how quickly the owner worked to resolve the issue and try to make things right with me! read more

I came to Eterna because of the reviews and it's proximity to my job. I wasn't dissappointed in the least. My sister and I received excellent service from Annie and Heng. I received a gel pedi from Annie (Big Apple Red) and my sister therapy pedicure from Heng. Annie was QUICK, so quick I was initially worried about the quality but the end product was just fine. Heng was also quick but attentive, detail oriented and kind. I'm also quite impressed by their mobile application. If you have a non-expired valid student ID, you can also get 20% anytime! There are other deals too, just check the site. I would also verify any discount before getting service to avoid any awkward situation afterwards. For instance, let's say you arrive at 12:45PM (within the said time frame), and service ends after 1:00PM, they might say the discount won't apply! Beware. Anyway, I had a pedicure here from Binh and his service was great, happy to accommodate my requests. The place was clean, the smell of acetone wasn't too nauseating, there was a big TV in front of me, they offered me water, and the massage chair was effective. No complaints here! This was my first time visiting (not sure why yelp says twice, maybe on accident when I checked out this place) -- and I wanted to try out the dip/powder nail. To my surprise, this salon has a website where you can message someone (Seyi) and ask questions. As someone who really hates talking on the phone, I loved this option!! Seyi is super nice, informed, and will work with you. She gave me lots of info on the difference between powder and gel mani, and made me excited to get a powder. She was also very transparent about what discounts are available on what days and so forth. She's also the receptionist, and she greeted me with a smile and some water. This makes a huge difference in my experience! Also I've messaged at weird times of day, and Seyi is always answers very quickly! My pedicure looks great ($25). I'm not sure of the man's name, but he did a great job and was attentive to detail. The one who did my manicure was Kathy. She's very sweet and seems very experienced in this. My first visit a year ago I had Nga and she was so sweet and did a great job on my hands and feet. I had Annie once last summer and she does amazing work and is friendly and sweet and Sophia is fantastic with acrylics. I just saw her last night and I LOVE my nails. I have had complements all day long. I feel like everyone here is helpful and I love visiting. I really, really wanted to like this salon. Was looking for a new shop after going to the same tech for over a decade. Pros 1. Can make appointments online 2. Rewards program 3. Easy parking, the salon being located in a mall was convenient for me Annie From the reviews I can see Annie is one of the most experienced, and I really wanted to become a regular here but she isn't consistently friendly and very rough. She does a great job but she cut my cuticles, I was bleeding at one appointment and she did nothing about it. She also doesn't listen. I have to remind her each time that I do NOT use the "cheese grater" on my feet. I also have never had a nail tech use one without asking prior. My last experience with her was the final straw. To begin, she showed up 15 minutes late. When she came in she offered no apology or greeting. This particularly bothered me because before each appointment she has called me, sometimes as early 7 am to make sure I was coming (which I think is extremely overbearing and unprofessional but I digress) and she has been late to two out of the three appointments I had with her. Not sure if Annie didn't have her morning coffee or if she was having a bad day during my last appointment, but she was beyond rude to me. As a customer who travels from Laurel, I need to be wowed with both the service and skills to return and I haven't. I *almost* messed up my pedicure standing up from the chair and she literally yelled at me! I was in disbelief. I could tell she was also rushing through my appointment so she could get to one of her regulars. When I got home I noticed there was paint all over my cuticles, what a disappointment. My pedicure was also rushed and my cuticles were barely cleaned up, see attached photo. All in all, I think if you find a good nail tech, this could be a great place for you. I can tell they have great management and really do want to bring back customers. It's been a long time since I've seen a rewards program at a nail salon, I was impressed. First 30 minutes impression. It's very clean and they seem organize. They were ready for our appointment and really friendly. Covid precautions are not so great. The pedi chairs are in pairs with no really clear separation between customers. There is a pexi glass between customers and tech none between customers. I had a tech seating next to me (waiting for her next customer) with her mask down. I asked if she could pull it up and she was kind enough to say yes. Two seconds later they seat a customer next to me with her mask down. At this point I'm over it. Even though they have a clear sign by the door it's clearly not enforced. Update on actual service: I really wanted to like this place. I'm pregnant and can't bend down like I want to. Nails were cut uneven, I have dead skin all over the cuticle area and the nail polish is not smooth. My husband did like his manicure. Although his nail were not filed even either cuticles looked a lot better than mine. read more

First time getting lash extensions and I'm glad Eterna Day Spa made my first experience so EASY and PLEASANT! The customer service was very excellent - they offer you complimentary water while you wait. LUCY did my mink lashes and she takes very good care of you - 10/10 ask for her! She's an expert and has many years under her belt with lash extensions~ I wanted the very long mink lashes but because my natural lashes are thin and short, she recommended me to get the shorter natural mink extensions instead because it would last longer for me. Afterwards, I'm glad she told me because the natural shorter ones do suit me more. The experience took about 1.5-2hrs because she took her time to make sure your lashes are ON FLEEK. The mink lashes are so light and doesn't feel like you have lash extensions at all. I'm in love with my lashes would 10/10 recommend this place for anyone looking to do lash extensions. read more

Pluses: clean, modern, new liner placed in foot bath for each client, lots of polish colors, top brands,they will tell you which have matching gel colors, proper foot scrub with what feels like a sugar scrub and massage, they will get your feet smooth without making pay extra for chemical callus remover, hot towels, bottled water, relaxing new massage chairs, nice nail techs (I had Hannah), they will talk to you, but they are also quiet so you can just close your eyes and relax, great location in mall near an entrance and parking garage, fair price, relaxing music. I've been going here for a while! Things started off great but have gone downhill... I religiously started seeing Annie who does a great job on my nails but does not have the most sanitary practices. She refuses to do anything else but "dip" my nails into the dip powder. I was in shock as she recently dipped my fingers into the powder jar after cutting me with me the electric file and not properly cleaning the blood from my wound. I had to tell her to clean the blood and disinfect my finger... I also noticed that the same tools are used for every client, I've never seen her remove the drill bit or grab tools from the disinfectant. I also never see the pedicure tubs get disinfected between clients. Lastly, I recently was in a rush and tried a new salon. The woman who did my nails told me that the "dip powder" that was being used on my nails was an acrylic mix and it was very difficult for her to remove using the traditional foil method. She also said my nails were being over-filed which I had questioned Annie about several times. Overall, I will not be returning. I found a new nail place that is hygienic and cares about my nail health. read more

I've been here a number of times for pedicures with Heng. Nothing spectacular but pleasant enough and that was fine for me. I liked the idea of a black woman owned business. That said, after a few times getting more attitude and issues than I cared to pay for, I decided to take a break. I returned first thing in the morning, for a pedicure and dip powder with Sophia (after she was texting me up and down 30 min before to make sure I was coming-that should have been a sign) and it was hands down the worst experience I've ever had. She was so rough and rude. She started me off in the pedicure spot and wanted me to soak my hands in Acetone for the entirety of the pedicure! That CAN'T be good for you! At one point, I simply asked to put on my slippers before the polish began (this was after a pedicure that included no cleansing or moisturizing before toe separators), and she was like, "No I'll do it all after. I told you different people do nails differently." I get that, but I also know myself and I knew it would be more trouble after the fact...and spoiler: it was! I told her I was feeling uncomfortable with her methods and she says, "I know, I can tell." Ok, if you can tell, why continue to behave the way you're behaving? I came to relax, not feel on edge and pay to get treated like crap. When she began the dip, she just tossed swatches at me without saying anything. At that point, I was over it and just chose anything. She removed the old dip and make snide remarks about my last manicure and was convinced I had my nails done by her before. I can assure you, I didn't and everything is in the database. She was so nasty about it, I just told her I'm done, I don't want anymore. She then started getting on me about the fact that, "she didn't do anything to me and why am I upset with her?" On and on and I just didn't say anything. I paid (the prices have increased since February as the woman at the desk will unpleasantly tell you. Which is not a big deal, but don't get snippy with customers for asking) and tipped and bounced. The 3.5 stars are for my previous experience with Heng. 0 for Sophia. There seems to be some other pleasant nail stylists but I'm not spending my money trying to sort one out. There are too many salons out there for me to have to pay to have my morning ruined. UPDATE: The owner contacted me to give her sincere apologies and advised that Sophia will be dealt with. She also sent me a refund. I appreciated her reaching out and making this right. It's nice to know that she cares about her business reputation and her repeat customers. read more

The previous helper was right. I got Hannah and was lucky. She took me at 7:15pm and was friendly and professional. My nails look great and I feel more relaxed -- which is all you can ask for. I came on a Saturday evening and it wasn't too busy. Cost on par with other local nail salons. Based on the busy nature of the eyelash tech, I'm coming back and scheduling Unfortunately, within 3 days the color on my thumb came off. I usually do not write updates just because the store offered to pay me off but this time is different. The follow up the manager did to resolve this and provide me with the customer service that they stand for as a business was very impressive. I went back and my nails have stayed beautifully since then.
